Zagee:

Transcorp bought over and is using AEDC as a pilot phase. You might want to go long on them with a good entry(though am not sure if below 3 is still achievable this year).

Transcorp keeps improving every quarter, circa 100 is not impossible for a Utility stock.

Geregu SP gives life to Transcorp grin

We need to check fpi inflow for June first cheesy then we can tell if more money will enter the market in July.
Na so. smiley
..but I think June's inflow will be higher than that of May.......and from the look of things, more will likely still enter in July, all things being equal.

Today Alone:
ACCESS: N4.14B !
GTCO: N2.6B !
ZEE: N2.5B !
UBA: N1.1B !
AIRTEL: N1.92B !

UBA: It seems someone is still accumulating and preventing the price from moving up.
We see how it goes in July, God willing.... smiley

I am still struggling to understand why UBA is lagging more and more behind Access. I thought fundamentally UBA is better than ACCESS when looking at 2022 data and year end market prices for investment earlier in the year. But with the closing trade of 2023 half year, ACCESS has dusted UBA further behind. It will be interesting to see mid year audited data for the banks. I wonder what exchange rate they will use for preparing their books.

Q1 Shows a difference in earnings between them. Might account for the gap going forward if access keeps up with the stellar performance in the remaining 2qtrs. My opinion

Access paid better dividend last financial year.
UBA will need to do better with dividend payment if they want to catch access.

I think its FX loan may be weighing it down from being lifted by the bulls. Its Q2 will say more.

This looks more than dividend o. After all, FBNH paid less.

However if UBA pays better dividend, it will wipe down the audio profits suspicion.

Are you sure they have massive FX loan? I think they repaid the massive FX loan they used to have a while back after divesting the South African affiliate. Also, seems they already translated their financial statements using black market rate so impact may not be significant. Time will tell

Dear experienced Nigerian stock traders/investors,

I'd like to know, is the Nigerian Stock market now developed to the point where you can trade on it instantly (instant trade executions, buy/sell) like on crypto exchanges?

The thought of delayed trade executions is a discouraging factor in joining the Nigerian Stock market. I want to know if this problem has been eliminated, and if yes, platforms that I can start my journey from. Thanks for your valued response in advance

Instant buy/sell available on a number of Nigerian stockbroker platforms. I recommend Morgancapital group with their itrade platform you are live on the exchange.

From my little experience, transactions are quick for some stocks while for others, you need patience. That's why it has always been preached here to focus mainly on highly liquid stocks for safety. I use the new Afrinvest App which I have gotten used to, and hasn't disappointed so far (can be buggy sometimes but not often)...but I'm sure there are better platforms.

Over to the pros

Tinubu should announce his ministers this month, another thing in my opinion that can send the market further up is if they’re competent ministers with good track record especially finance, Works, trade, power.
