Don't blame her. It's the Nigerian mentality. Unfortunately she's unaware so many of the older generation in in that type of situation married. It's only if you have access to their documents you get to know that the wife is slightly older.

You should have reassured her that the gap in age is little as you are still age mates.

But at some point, the man needs to take his health as high priority. He should honorably resign and get state matters and politics off his mind.

He has really emaciated and its not looking good. The man needs all the rest and peace of mind at this point.

So once you're ill, you must resign. What do you think the role of a deputy is? To hold the fort and act on the Governor's behalf. It is certainly not to circle like a vulture, when his boss is ill. Is there anything that indicates that Akeredolu will not recover and come back to office? He is human, and is perfectly normal to be ill sometimes. To worry that his deputy is scheming to edge him out will not aid in his recovery. So this rest and peace of mind you are so concerned about, you should direct such concerns to his deputy, who obviously does not want that for him.
