We all know if they get any money from the removal of subsidy, it won't go into any development, it's just to enrich politicians.
They are just frustrating people (Nigerians) for no geniue reason.
Agbado boys would have realized how stupid they are right now.

I have made up my mind to move pass hoping this country will get better.

Because i don't understand how a sane human will vote for tinubu after what we went through under buhari.

Just look at the economy, isn't this worst than what buhari did to us.

Students are dropping out from school, because they can't afford this current hike in fees.

Most companies are now downsizing, laying off staffs so they can increase salaries.

Life is now that hard, that most girls stay in abusive relationship because there is money. Other stay with a chronic cheat because he has money.

Some students who were initially managing under buhari, can't find their next meal. And are now given up to become prostitutes and internet fraudsters.

Big nyash is now the new side hustle for girls in the entertainment industry. Obviously the real legit hustle can't afford a fendi bag of 4,000 dollars, or eight a pent house on the island or either a range rover.

I'm to see agbado boys now begging online grin. I won't be surprised if they still vote this man again.

Omo, this inflation na die oo. The same rice I bought 33,000k two months ago was sold for 47,000k yestersay. I like the way the market woman advise me sha. She said sir, buy half now and lets see if the price would reduce in the next month. A congo of garri was sold for 500 but a big plastic baff was 5500, so buying the big baff na the best because it has about 12 congos in it.

The same poor voted in APC again for 5k or 10k after what Buhari did to them. They should continue to suffer. Ten years ago before APC I could do so much with 100k or 200k. But now 1million seems useless. The question is how many people even have upto 500k now.
fearyourcreator, helinues, jrusky and other RONUs said they have millions running in their bank account. Fearyourcreator the Agege Man a die hard fan of Buhari and Emilokan🤣

[quote author=ecolime post=124576992]Even the comfortable, rich and wealthy classes are not finding it easy. The poor definitely cannot breathe.

Advice to everyone:

1. Find legitimate ways improve your earnings

2. Cut down your expenses.

3. Rent shops or offices close to your homes.

4. Celebrate only Landmark birthdays in big ways.

5. Get remote jobs. Let it take precedence over onsite roles.

6. Hunt for international jobs. Earning in foreign currency is the real deal now.

7. Anything more than 3 children na problem.

8. Have a side hustle and market your goods/services aggressively online.

9. If your business doesn't depend on electricity, you have no business switching on the generator during the day. For home use, 7pm to 10pm in enough.

10. Lastly, if you work remotely, relocate to cheaper states. You have no business living in Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, etc. unless you own your house.

11. Leave the country if you can. Our leaders are selfish and have no plans for tommorow. You are completely on your own.
It will get worse and never better.

Let's be brutally honest... The poor are not helping matters with their unchecked breeding like rats.

The truth is... Citizens need to start making serious adjustments especially those intending to start families.

good afternoon.. My moniker is cloudtrees and BItt.
Please I lost my job some Months ago and it's been very hard to survive and frustrating to get another job.

I have been depressed and broke and had to be selling some of my things to eat. I never thought things could be this bad for me. I have tried to reach out to few people.

I would have asked for your help to start a business but it's hard to trust based on past scenarios. Please I am sincere need of favour and assistance, if God puts it in your heart to help me financially I will be forever grateful.

If this subsidy removal will reduce the birth rate of Nigeria, then it served it's purposes. I mean, how can our population tripled in just sixty years? Don't mind them. You can look at other countries in West Africa, their population is even not up to nigerian population. Maybe other west African countries don't like pu---y like nigerians

Funny as it is, no body will die out of hunger

The poor are already used to hard times and they already know how to survive this harsh condition because they are floating already since they don't have a standard

The rich suffers it more because they already have a standard and are finding it difficult to fall below standard because of class and position in the society

So in all, we must limit the number of children to two or three no matter our income

Then we can adjust in other things that bother on family

In my own case and for the past 10yrs now I and my hubby have cut down our expenses through combine cooperations

I have three children so I already prepared for it

For going to about two months now, I don't drive my car again to work but just to church

I don't go visiting people anyhow, we can chat or call unless when needed

I don't run Gen again at night, once we take dinner by 6/7pm, you are free to go to bed and if it must be on, just 1hr and you do whatever you need it for immediately

I regulates electricity at home because of prepaid meter and my husband makes sure we don't on unnecessary lights

I cook and store in the freezer to avoid going to the market all the time

I eat twice a day to save cost

I stopped watching tiktok because of wasting of my data

I un-installed candy crush because it sucks my data

Honestly, I have to cut down on so many things and still willing to cut down or more

With the above, I am not really feeling the harsh economy though because I have already cut down my cost of running my family during Jonathan's regime and am use to it before this shege Promax regime

The bottom line is that we must help ourselves

probably you are an igbo woman, because agbado boys can't have this kind of sense at all.

But you see the part you said, the rich are the ones suffering more, because they are struggling to sustain standards.

I don't believe that part, unless you are referring to someone who is living above his means, especially these young girls of this generation sleeping with wealth married men.

Wealth is not sexually transmitted, it will definitely tell on her that she is not rich, once she stops seeing rich clients to sleep with.

These rich men i have met, have laud down generational wealth.

Don't confuse rich with these influencers who live a fake life. With rich people, who are solving eternal problems in this country.

Nigerians are funny people. Its like one part of their brain chose who leads them and another part of their brain complain about the standard of living.

For morethan 9yrs Nigerians have voted along religion and tribe affiliation, meaning we are not yet through going backwards.
With questionable characters in the hem of affair and a country polarised for election purposes, I don't think we are moving in any good direction.
We can only hope as religious people we are while yet making sure our tribe succeeds againt all odds even it means dying. So let all man face him own wahala

The only thing that poverty that has been deepened and nationalized through subsidy removal without any socour can do is caused exponential birth rate. Tell me what does poor man needs to brag about if not to celebrate child birth?
Now everyone will know why only the rich marry just one wife and few children.

Good day everyone.
With the unbelievable increments in almost everything in Nigeria, how does the poor survive?

Most people were complaining when petrol was #200plus, now it is #600plus.

A bag of rice can barely be purchased by the average family, some people are being paid peanuts as salaries, they are barely surviving.

With hope they keep believing things will be better, but the price of basic things keeps skyrocketing as if armed men are chasing them.

How do people earning #20,000, #30,000 per month survive? Some families with 3 to 4 kids, how will they survive?

The cost of daily transport alone is killing, do our leaders ever consider those living below par, how they survive?

The poor are getting poorer, everyone is complaining, people are frustrated, most people can barely see what to eat.

The poor among us, what should they do? Because with all this it's just like they are saying the poor should go and die.

Most on Nairaland can't relate...most Nairalanders in Nigeria work remote jobs earning dollars & euros. That's how they know living in Nigeria is better than living in the UK.

Thanks.

I dare the president to come out and say that Nigerians to limit birth rate to two or three and see if the country will not burn starting from the North! You're making excuses for the government whose officials continue living flamboyantly inspite of the terrible condition of the country!!

This is why I don't pity the poor at all because they will always defend thier oppressors just like you're doing here!

A section of the population, by virtue of religion, whether they are poor or rich, do procreate with no limits. You can't stop this. As a nation, the rising population has to be planned for. If truly, the nation is not poor, the rich and political class have to be their brother's keeper.

Do you think it is going to get better 25 years from now if no drastic changes are made to correct the many problems in the country now? undecided

The problem is that you are the only one seeing the poor...the poor never took responsibility that they are poor.

A girl hwaking grounut will yell at you if you called a poor girl.

The church is also giving them hope with anointing oil and holy communion bread and wine.

Until poor people come out to say they are poor then we Will start digging to know the sourse of their poverty.

A bag of rice i bought January this year is almost finishing....i'm so scared. God fight my poverty for me..smile

I share the same idea with you, because it's obvious the poor ain't doing anything to help themselves other than giving birth to children like rats like you rightly said, most times, I will be having pity on some poor people but yet, they are still giving birth to children...!!

One common thing with life is planning...as a man or woman, you can manage yourself without kids involved, but once the kids starts coming, responsibilities keeps piling up, because before doing anything, you will have to consider the kids first...

Nigerians needs to see reasons why they should minimized the amount of kids they breed, it's neither helping them nor the society at large.

Middle income earner, I finally decided that we buy food in bulk after getting advice from counsellors as a way yo cushion the realities of this country.

My wife and I went to the market and spent about 200k to buy food items. Perishables were stocked in the fridge and that night, no light. Them dey bring am them dey bring am, I don burn like 45k on fuel in less than 5 days. Gen set don pack up yesterday.

Gentlemen, the meat and fish I dey boil and smoke since morning dey cry. Tomatoes sef and other perishables don dey soft for fridge.

Tell me why one should not leave this country come rain come shine.

Will blame population for low development. We’re not even as many as other countries that are well developed. Standard of living is too low, and there’s no tangible growth or development done by the government. If there’s safety/security, do you know that sports when properly promoted by the government can give us millions of employment?

Help one another between berating government and doing the Opposing & Opposition Government stuff. Nothing stops the wealthier individuals or moderately okay elements in Nigeria society opening Free Meals Centers. In Jamaica, wealthy people used to run places where the very poorest could go and eat. These places served free and pay-what-you can meals once a day. People can donate food to the place or help out by cleaning, serving, washing plats and street children etc.

I don't want to credit Jamaica alone, my mum used to do something like this but small scale. I grew up wanting to establish permanent free food places on an industrial scale all over Nigeria with my name as the brand.

So why have you not started it sir?

Please, in as much as the government or leaders are to be blamed for most of the woes happening in this country, I honestly think the citizens are not helping matters as well...

Straight lightening was provided in an area for development and beautification of the city, but guess what? it was vandalized overnight and all the cable wires stolen. The same thing is happening to virtually all the transformer cables around. We have read about railway vandalization, the one that shocked me most was when they started stealing all those iron rails fixed around drainage, that was when I knew Nigeria was in serious problem. Would you blame the government?

Fine, we later heard the guys that stole the cables were sent by some government officials, so that this new state administration can allocate another money for them to fix back the street lightening (Politics). Everything in Nigeria has been politicized, seems like we are in the era of dog eat dog, people are now bold enough to carry out robberies in broad day light.

The condition of this country gives me headache sometimes, just today, I've spent roughly 10K just to make a pot of stew, a young bachelor like me, I begin to reason what if I'm a married man with two kids? Omo, people are really going through a lot in this country...
