uga your village? Aguata? please tell me you are joking.

Nwanne it is a statement of fact, my villa Uga has better living condition than most of their state capitals. Mind you my villa may not be among top 10 developed villas in Anambra. Places like Ekwuluobia, Osumenyi, Enugu-Ukwu etc are all like New York when compare to their state capitals in yeroba land.

This is kind of things you are known for joyfully posting pictures of old rural areas that don't have anything to do with topic of discussion. very callow and pathetic

At least it is far more developed and advanced architecturally than all the mud house infested state capitals of yeroba put together.

I can't blame you cos you are addicted to underdevelopment. this is one of the reasons I don't take you serious. we have good igbos with sound education and great mindset unlike you and I can't generalise the igbos. even in this forum, it tells how you think and reason cos you are not different from your psychotic friends suchas musiwa, FSU, atouke, Willywilly, freewilly, keleproten etc

If you want to see under development, poverty, mud houses, rusted zinc etc it is in your backyard there in yerobaland. I will restate it, Awka has some of the best architectures, hospitality industry around. Even ordinary Udoka and Abuja estates here can compete favorably well with some estates in VI and Ikoyi. NL people in Awka can confirm what am saying..

Have you ever considered the fact that kids from those 'old century' schools will have to score 139 (70%) to gain admission into a Unity school while their counterparts in states where you have the 'Internet age' schools only need to score at least 2 (1%) to gain admission into the same school.

What does that tell you? The building is secondary, it's the manpower that matters.

Bros, I don't know what world you live in but infrastructure plays an important role in childhood education. There is a reason why schools in urban areas do excellently well than schools in the hood. An educational facility must boast of the appropriate components. A child will not learn well if he/she is not provided with the appropriate needs. So I'm sorry, building infrastructure and environment is PRIMARY, then the teachers + other resource play other supporting role as well.

Op keeping fooling yourself and other gullible ilks like yourself. You had pictures of newly built houses in awka as awka. I have noticed a similar trend on nairaland peep will post few pictures of fairly new houses and trump it up as the whole of the town or state. Awka is the finest place on earth satisfied? Airhead!

You are right on the educational infrastructure. And Obi has done so well in that area. The good thing about Obi developmental projects is that he didn't box himself into painting and planting of flowers only. He has affected all the sectors, no matter how small. Like in the case of the school, he made sure that each school is equipped with computers and internet connectivity and library coupled with good manpower.

Same new york city now I see why Anambra is the economic and infrastructural mecca to the World. Little wonder tourists and investors have been rushing down. Numerous NEw york cities in the east.! Lmao.

@Bestview/Chino,

Please can we get an area view of Awka...skyline, streets, people...something that makes you feel like you are looking at city-wide photos?

More importantly, can we do the same for Onitsha:

Come on now! undecided Pictures of single houses, school buildings, are NOT enough.

Get paid for your otimkpu services to Peter Obi, because you're doing a VERY GOOD JOB. grin grin grin

Don't worry, your town wouldn't be carved out, instead, after SNC, we would return back to the old system. Enugu and Ebonyi will merge with Anambra and Owerri and Abia will merge togther... Now we have two states and different cities. grin grin

Am a federal civil servant, so am not even in the Obi's State Civil service! Am very far from knowing Obi personally, though I have some in-roads into government circle and know few people in the state's corridors of power. Whatever am doing here does not have any connection to the govt.

I disagree with you mate. Infrastructures and aesthetics are secondary. Manpower is the basics.

Meanwhile you haven't answered my question as to why kids who study in these archaic structures have to score 139/200 to gain admission in the same exam where pupils from states with more aesthetically appealing buildings and structures have to score significantly lower to gain admission.
