Guy, FG scholarship is a big scam. Accepting the scholarship in my undergraduate days (02/03 session), remains one of the very few regrets I have. If I know how to return their 50k ,I will return it with immediate alakriti.

I was awarded 50k per annum in my 3rd year and that means I would have received 150k by my 5th n final year . But then, 3rd no show, 4th year before proceeding
on IT , they paid 25k and 5th year they paid another 25k. And that was all (they paid 50k instead of 150k).Only God and they people involved in the scam would know what happened to 100k x number of students awarded during my time.

Will the award be as stated?

if I knew I could have worked harder to get chevron or agbami scholarship, now my friends are collecting 150k and 200k from the aforementioned oil companies respectively..

So they have not changed. I happened to be among the 1st batch when the scheme was restarted. I completed the screening and I am still waiting for the result. They just went incommunicado, I was so angry at myself for spending my pocket money on transport to the venue, plus the whole day was not optimised.

I am glad they revived this scholarship. It was a great help to me 2001 and 2002 back in UNN. Unfortunately, Obasanjo was only using it as a campaign gimmick and it evaporated into thin air shortly after the 2003 elections. Kudos to tye new order, they had better sustain it.

Plz can someone throw more light on the post graduate aspect of this scholarship scheme based on d followin points

I'm a beneficiary... 1 of the 8 students that were awarded out of over 240 candidates that applied from my school (kaduna state University). I'm damn lucky. The Irony of it is that the scholarship was supposed to have been awarded since 2012 and to terminate in 2014 as stated by the award letter I received, but instead, I went for the screening sometime in 2013 and received the 1st part of the fund in May, 2014. I just hope the remaining 300k will come as soon as possible. Na our money na...

. Bro, it's not a scam. I can swear with anything. I also thought it to be a scam, until my school called me to come collect my award letter. Even with the letter in my hand, I didn't give a damn if the money would come or not until I received a credit alert from first bank.

yorex2011: For those saying it's a scam or its man know man... Its not true. When i was in 200l i applied and wrote alongside many of my classmates... Tho i didn't get it, had like 10 people from my faculty that got it dat yr... And they were paid 3 times before we graduated... 150k each... So its not a scam... Just try ur best and apply wisdom to certain things... Like i said earlier they tend to give more to people who are really in need (if u fill that ur dad is a doctor and ur mum is a lawyer and that u are the only child even if u get 100% in d test, u might not be considered afterall ur parents have good jobs plus u are d only child) so just apply wisdom and pray.... it wasn't so last year. I school in kaduna and I wrote mine their. Last year, we were allowed to write at any federal unity school close by.

this scam that they make brilliant children write every year only to award the scholarships to cronies and staff of the ministry of education
