d problem is d weather sir, too much humidity, though i dont know d seed brand u planted,in future try to get draught & high humid tolerant seeds(technisem seed is an example), though discuss with d seller because not all, about disturbing, if we cant help eachother, then whats d value?, about where to spray, it depends on d stage also, whether already infested/a precaution, if already fruiting, d insect would aim for d tomato, but a great way to reduce insect infestation is to make your farm free from weeds(they serve as host to insect & diseases), for your insecticide, follow d maker's direction/advise

samseen02: i taught you're real when you said you have indepth knowledge about the biz. For a person that has the indepth knowledge and still asking if its possible to make million out of it. Meagre investment! I'm nt suprise anyway.
have been for real from d womb (laugh), thats why i can confidently put my pic for all to see. U remind me of a man in lagos that always place advert in newspaper & i think on success digest, invest in snail farming & made millions in 3 months( when a baby snail cannot even have attain a good weight/size), one tobias(i hope i got d spelling right), i did not only do heliculture, i did & still doing fishfarming, left poultry cos is time consuming. Even my snails was imported from ghana(they have more prolific edible snails than Nigeria), but for termite infested area & other reasons( i stopped it .Post your email,so i can send u my manual absolutely free, in it u have snail farming(so simplify that anyone can use it), with more than 60 other businesses u can start.so i await your criticism. And moreso, i saw your blog, read it, mostly assumption, if u can raise ........., if u can raise 500,000 ,u sell at 50 naira,u make 25million, just like saying if u have a kilogram female broodstock, you produce, u get up to 20,000 - 40,000 fries, forgeting that not all d fries will survive to market stage, a 1kg of female broodstock is btw 1,500 - 3,000 or more, depending on breed & source, u also need same for male= 6k aside other parameters, 20 - 40k fingerlings = btw 200 - 400k in 4 - 5 weeks, only someone that want to burn money that wont ask for indepth details before jumping at it, u can make millions in all biz, it isnt magic bro.with patience & indepth workings/experience could be a bit easy,So share d ones that invest 100k & reap 5m, not to forget,i can set up a snail farm for u,i only encourage people to save cost( without consultants)

hmmmmm, u don get experience be that, u can manage your stock when given better opportunity(secured environ), snail farming is cheap to do, hence u can get a secure space to continue(if thats your biz of interest), have u sold your birds & hope u are planning for christmas (broilers)

Am selling d birds but patronage is low nd i cant take it to market myself. Having ready buyers is key. I want want to raise livestock that does not depend solely on commercial feed.

if patronage is low, plus u are still feeding your birds which implies additional cost that might possibly push u out of profitability, slaughter and dress the birds, package with polythene bags and keep in a freezer, and then distribute to hotels or supermarkets.

excelsiorfarm: back to d ugu farming idea, d biz needs a little capital, market great in dry season ( provided u have timed well & also have reliable water to support during d period),though ugu is draught resistant to some extent. D half a plot i developed since late last year is till very viable & some already fruiting, i had made more than times 3 D capital invested & i had even shared more to friends & neighbors
Ugu farming is really lucrative and you can still identify the female and stake them since they are the ones that bear pods so you have seeds to use and also sell for the next planting season

it isnt d size/land space that count at times, later i will give an illustration in relation to a real life evidence on a farm(using fishfarming as an example)

no, big boys dont go to market, other market idea is to sell to neighbors, dress and sell per kilogram direct, for animals that can almost neglect commercial feed, then u be thinking of goat & pig to an extent, also your snail. u no won spend money nii?

I will never raise fish or poultry until i get market or demand. My unproductive layers, even at a fair N850 is suprisingly not sold out(already eating some it myself). Maybe d sub-urban location(ijoko, sango ogun stat) problem too. With my salaries invested in d venture, i cud buy a half plot of land(which u knw dosent depreciate), i wud have been beta off. Hence, u see my challenge. I have oda tings to expend my money on i.e marriage, beta accomodatn. But i want to also develop multiple stream of income. To complimnt my inadequate pay. U see u my challenge, may God help me. I have passion for part time farming(even recently tryin out rabbitry lol).

your location might be d challenge. Your statement is funny, note if they were productive, u wont sell, have u treated they with lasota b4 coming to conclusion. Livestovit also do aid recovery, try it for at least a week. Have u deworm? , No one wait for market, as u start, u create/look for market/demand either by networking with those in d biz in your area, those in d biz of eateries/iya put, your neighbors. Dont trouble yourself long, farming is about consistency, patience, no magic. You go marry, do treat those birds for a week at least, thank God they aint dying.
