Nastydroid: I have not download it bro, thanks for the hint...string guage number? It is six strings

Naaah, string gauge is the standardised diameter for each of the six strings. When you replace your strings, you have an option to go for lighter or thicker gauge types depending on your type of music and guitar specs.

oh thanks for the explanation, the string guage of the new string is light,i thought the thicker guage is only meant for the bass guitar

TonySpike: Thanks to the mod that brought this thread to the front page. The lost 'hacked' thread had lots of information, recordings, lessons and skills for guitarists. I hope this thread will live up to the expectations of the previous thread.

So guys, say hello to my latest semi - acoustic guitar. I call her Sapphire. She is a CORT AD880CE series with inbuilt amplifier.

Below is a link from one of my latest recordings

Unfortunately, I don't know how to play yet!

Still looking for a teacher who stays in Ibadan. Any help for a starter would be so much appreciated as the online videos et al are just confusing.

I seriously don't like the F chord too, but I gbadun the sound of F#m. Many songs using open chords don't seem to come with F chord though.

Can you post any recording of yours for us to hear?
