A fwnd of mine working in Diamond Bank Lagos said Bank only pay permanent staff such amount or more and contract staff not up to 70k and that if the bank has like 20 or 25 staffs, permanent staff sometimes are not up to 5. How truth is this??
very true. A typical Gtbank branch has 23 staff but maybe 3 to 6 permanent staff

Pls o, let me ask, how much does lecturers earn.
I know most of them are the best brain and they find themsel lecturin, equipping banks staff, oil firms staffs still they don't earn up to the people the equip. Any lecturer who manages to earn well must be a PhD holder and a senior lecturer.

Wow, so my friend in the oil company been dey lie shey. He told me he only earns 100k, now I see the truth. I am off to his house first thing tomorrow, he must borrow me money for at least toyota spider...

That amount is within the price range of a trainee in an oil n gas servicing company. He may not be lying. The down side working with some servicing companies, esply privately owned one, he can remain in that salary structure till thy kingdom come!

UAC= 24,000 per month basic salary.

For B.SC holder.

HND is about 21,000 basic.

Graduate Doctors earn little bit above 20k/month... May be more higher when the most fortunate one gets job in oil coy.

Entry level physician pay depends on where you are working. Federal owned hospitals pay house officers a bit higher than state owned hospitals but this is not always true as there are a few exceptions to this rule.

A few years ago, take home was in the range of 184k for house officers at a federal hospital. Dont have a clue what the pay is like now.

For doctors reading this or med students, your pay depends on where you work - that's the best way to summarise it.

Did I hear you call contract employees staff? They are not members of Staff. They are regarded as nothing by the employers. Bing a bank contract employee is one of the worst things that could happen to a Nigerian graduate. They pay them miserably, they care less about their welfare, No pension plan and in most cases the banks dump most of them as soon as their contracts expire. We are talking about members of staff here and contract employees

Still don't get the edge or power that this information gives apart from one day dreaming of a salary he's yet to even scale its job test. The info doesn't stop any serious job seeker from applying to every company he feels he meets their qualification.

Where its most handy (I think) is when one is being asked the how-much-can-we-pay-you-question in job interviews. If its in the case of having to choose between two gotten offers one should already be aware of the pay packages.

IMHO, More focus should be on excellence/self improvement 'cause no matter how many salary structure I know of it is zero if I can't scale job tests or deliver when expected to. That being said I must commend you on your write ups on NL. I enjoy them too.

am curious. Do you by chance know how much 3rd engineers that work in LNPG ships, that stay on board ships for 4months delivering LPG to countries around the world, get paid both when on board and off board? I want to see if someone is lying to me. Pls quote when replying.
