Sagamite: You have made a very good point. However, you don't have to choose btw "Jonathan" and "Atiku" (doubt if APC will field him) as APC and PDP are not the only political parties in the country even though they remain the largest. Political parties card carrying members are not up to 30percent of the entire eligible voters in the country. Our people only need to be more enlightened. Together we can achieve the necessary respect needed to reposition our dear nation by voting out the incompetent and professional looters in the corridors of power. |

They are going their for you 24 hour light, trains, motorways, security, great and advanced healthcare system, jobs, peace, education system, education system and education system? Dumb product of a failed education system. Moronic to the bone! 6 Likes |

PerfectFortune: You think you can enlightened the fuuktards you see me keep on attacking on NL by 2015? You are a very optimistic man o. Let me remind you, the fact that the ones on NL can read and type indicates they are likely the brightest of the majority of fuuktards straddling Nigeria. So if they are this dumb imagine how dump the ones that don't have access to the internet are. They are going to vote for who can give them the biggest bag of rice and cooking oil. And those are not any of the other parties. I am finding it hard to trust APC would not field the cretin. 3 Likes |

Excellent decision and I have tremendous support for the government official for doing his job. Our polithiefians should emulate. You can't screen a person for ebola, you can only isolate and watch them for 21 days for symptoms. Kudos once again to the organizers. |

PerfectFortune: Comparing the ebola situation in America with what happened in Nigeria is the fallacy of false equivocation. It is common knowledge that ebola started from a case zero in Nigeria like in America, but there is a difference. 1. American Healthcare system is more robust, better equipped and has a better structure than the Nigerian system. This means the risk of an outbreak is minimal. Nigeria had only Mr.Sawyer and we know what we battled to curtail ebola. 2. The most important factor to consider is that our borders are very porous. This means that there is a risk of illegal entry of ebola infected individuals.. This can only mean that before the government finds out, it might be too late for an effective containment plan. Where as it is more difficult to illegally enter USA from West Africa 2 Likes |

They knew there was Ebola and they went ahead to invite Flavour. Mr Prime minister of Dominica, beware of Ebola, your country could be hit next. Nobody is safe until the scourge has been combated. Ebola didn't originate in "west Africa", it came down here from south America which is closer to yourselves than us here. My advice to Flavour: shun all these akpuruka countries, be selective. You never waka the whole of Africa and Europe or America! God bless West Africa. Flavour, ensure they pay you the full fees else, sue them for defamation of character, discrimination and breach of contract. |

jasper7: 1) US was never and never will be in the same situation as in Nigeria. Ever, so stop that stuff. 2) A country has made a decision. They choose to allow US artists to come into their country and ban a Nigerian artist. It is well within their rights to do as such. While it may not be a popular decision but based on current situation I completely support that decision. 3) Over here some Americans are clamoring for ALL flights from infected regions be banned. This is who serious people are taking this. 4) It is not racism. It may encroach on discrimination but the country/organiser are acting on the best interest of their constituents. You should pray that your elected Nigerian official show the same level of character. |

GeneralShepherd: I quite understand your point but beg to differ a little. Nigerians have in no way been better treated with stigma of Ebola than Liberia and S/L which are confirmed with higher cases of the virus. America at the moment has not been certified ebola free and it is still too early to conclude they have been able to curtail the virus. Just last week, parents withdrew their kids out of schools in dallas over ebola scare. Don't forget, Partrick Sawyer that brought the disease to Nigeria is an American, though with African root. I believe the guy (FLAVOR) should have been tested instead of being withdrawn him from the show. The guy (story) I quoted too should have been excused quietly without having to create unnecessary attention/stigma. Your points may be true but not void of complexity. 1 Like |

CityNG:Well.... you can keep telling yourself that. So far there has been a confirmed primary and secondary case of Ebola in the U.S. they are in the same position as Nigeria. If not contained properly it can escalate to Sierra Leone level or Liberia even. But for some reason, we have that strong belief that can't and it won't. DR is a small country. I respect the president's stand but no denying there is an inkling of racism to it. And incase you don't know, Nigeria has been confirmed to have no more cases of Ebola. America still got cases to handle 1 Like |
