i've been watching APC fans peddling rumours that Buhari built 2 out of our 4 refineries, but i want to correct such impression by stating categorically that BUHARI NEVER BUILT A SINGLE REFINERY.
egift and ibnsultan, stop decieving ur gullible fellows.

stats dont lie,check below;

Kaduna refinery in northern Nigeria was built in
1980 with a capacity of 5.5 million mt/yr
(110,000 b/d). A Lube Baseoil plant was added
in 1982, and an LAB plant in 1987.
Warri refinery in the south central region was
built in 1978 with a capacity of 6.2 million mt/yr
(125,000 b/d). A Carbon Black plant and a
Polypropylene plant were added in 1986.
Port Harcourt refinery in the southeast is made
up of two refineries, built in 1965 and 1989. In
1993 they were merged into one, with a total
capacity of 10.500 million mt/yr (210,000 b/d).
The Eleme Petrochemical plant, which was built
adjacent to the Port Harcourt refinery in 1995,
has an Olefin production capacity of 483,000 mt/
yr, a Polypropylene capacity of 80,000 mt/yr and
a Polyethylene production capacity of 250,000 mt/
yr.

it is on record that buhari's miserable rule was between December 31, 1983 – August 27, 1985 and within this period,he actually achieved nothing exception of arresting fela for singing against his government.
he arrested pa Taiwo solarin the famous educationist for criticising him on TRUNCATING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Arrested Nduka Irabor, the famous journalist for criticising his inhumane government.

it is on record that fela called Buhari-animal on human skin

despite the hate fela had for OBJ,he never tagged OBJ with such negative name,it goes to show u how wicked, corrupt and myopic major general Buhari was.
NB:
Buhari was never a General as he has bin decieving his sycophantic fans, rather a Mere major General

He also moved to silence critics of his
administration, passing decrees curbing press
freedoms and allowing for opponents to be
detained up to three months without formal
charges.He also banned strikes and
lockouts by workers and founded Nigeria's
first secret police force, the National Security
Organization.His government sentenced
popular musician and political critic Fela Kuti
to ten years in prison on charges that Amnesty
International denounced as fabricated and
politically motivated; Kuti was later
pardoned and released by Buhari's successor
.
In another high-profile incident that
sparked a diplomatic incident with Britain,
British officials found Umaru Dikko , Shehu
Shagari 's former transportation minister
drugged in a crate marked for shipment to
Lagos .

According to the BBC, "Buhari's attempts to
re-balance public finances by curbing imports
led to many job losses and the closure of
businesses."These losses were
accompanied by a rise in prices and a decline
in living standards.

these are the lies egift, ibsultan, berem, abagworo and all the APC liars wont let u read, yet all their claims is how good buhari was.but one thing about life is that u cant decieve people about ur past

1. The Apc Dogs will arrive to derail this thread with name calling

2. They will avoid this thread like ebola virus.

Buhari will only win an election in Nigeria if the whole clock in the world can roll back

They will come and start spewing rubbish here, the man would have been worst than Abacha if his govt. was not terminated.
A man who overthrew a democratically elected govt. should never dream of becoming d president in a democracy, if it's where things are done right, all coupists and those that benefited from it should be rotting in jail for life, if Buhari did not overthrow Shagari, by now we would have strengthened our democracy.

Haba Itoro! A Major General cannot be 'mere'. It takes years to be a Colonel let alone a Major General. That's a very, very senior rank in the army. It is like calling a Commissioner of Police a 'mere' Commissioner of Police. Nope! Even though I am not a fan of the General, I will not be party to denigrating his rank in the army. Once an officer gets to the rank of a Brigadier General, he can unofficially be referred to as a General not because he has reached the rank of a substantive 'General' but because he has got to the General cadre.

Now, my grouse with Buhari is that he is a CRIMINAL, a coup plotter. The constitution says that coup plotting is a crime. So, any person who has directly or indirectly been part of coup is a criminal. Such people should not be given the honour of seeking the most powerful office in our land. They are bad eggs and not role models.

Nevertheless, I agree with you intoto that Buhari DID NOT achieve anything in his 20 months as an illegal Head of State. He only took us back many decades. he had neither vision nor idea. He was just a dictator, a bully. Manufacturing, he scored zero. Agriculture, he scored zero. Infrastructure, he scored zero. Forget all the spin, he achieved ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. To be fair to him, as an illegal Head of State, he was not as corrupt as his fellow illegals: IBB, Abacha and Abdulsalam. But he is not the SAINT that his supporters want us to believe. He has his shortcomings; and they are many. But number one of them is that is a CRIMINAL, a man who led (even though his supporters deny this) people who should be in the barracks to sack a duly elected government, a usurper.

He achieved nothing when he was full of life. He will not achieve anything as a grand father. He cannot be the leader of yesterday and at the same time be the leader of tomorrow. Iro! He can't take our grand father's position and also take our children's position.

Buhari they claim is not corrupt but has worked with those who institutionalized corruption in nigeria.during his raign ibb and abacha where in his cabinet and he alao worked with abacha and even came public to defend that abacha never Stole a penny this is the man some ignoramus will want to protray as not corrupt. A hard core tribalist during his reign as ptf chairman he built more road in his home town alone than what he built in the south .just in his home town not to talk of the whole north that is why his the northern champion. During his tenure he enriched only his fulani brothers they were the only ones allowed to import anything into nigeria. Goods of poor traders were seized for no just cause by soldiers. He band foreign currency but allowed a certain emir import suit cases filled with it ceased by a young atiku that is why am happy his comming up against atiku i dare the weeping chameleon general to call atiku corrupt and see if he atiku would not expose him.

@itoroetti you seem to be crying more than d bereaved. I'm yet to hear the Kutis crying as you are concerning Buhari!

It's either you've forgotten or didn't know that Fela contested under the Movement Of the People Party that he formed and that could be the reason he made up such song about Buhari who was made to head the military govt then!

All the things you said Buhari did was as a military head and not a Democratic head. So it's like comparing apples with oranges!

The ones who are elected and yet doing the stuffs you've accused Buhari about are definitely worse off! Under GEJ, newspapers where seized in the name of national security! Under GEJ, an AIT reporter was unjustly arrested for using the adjective 'controversial'! I can continue mentioning what a democratically elected govt of today has done wrong.

Why not let's see a democratic and progressive Buhari's regime before you can then be said to be comparing apples with apples!

If GEJ were a military head before now then you could make a better comparison!
If you desire to compare Buhari's military regime then let it be with any other military regime head!

Mind you, apart from Abacha, no military head of state that ever ruled Nigeria planned a coup de tat. Go and check history. They were all placed there by the SMC(supreme military council)!

I rest my case!

Under the leadership of Buhari, 2 of Nigeria's only 4 refineries were built. No clumsy campaign of TANiods can change it. The PDP are only ashamed that in 15yrs, PDP could not build one. Someone even started asking why he had to lay pipeline to Kaduna and not use Truck to be carrying it for over 30 years now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know you are more intelligent than this. You created a thread which gave the impression that refineries were built during Buhari's regime. Now, some other person has debunked it and you are catching straws. Whatever CBN did under Soludo was because Obasanjo permitted it. Whatever Oduah might claim she did was because Jonathan permitted it. Did you remember when Soludo attempted to re-value our currency and YarAdua stopped him?

The man who appoints takes the glory and the knocks. Whatever is happening in the Agric sector today will be ascribed to Jonathan's regime and not the Minister. Why do you blame Jonathan for the bad federal roads instead of Orubebe? We blame Buhari today because of the highhandedness of soldiers during his regime-even when we know that he did not do those things directly.

You see, you will be taken more serious when you are consistent in your arguments. But when your arguments change because of the person involved, then nobody will take you serious.

Have you noticed that most of your colleagues in the Buhari Brigade are avoiding this thread? Even those commenting have nothing to say. It is because they know that this thread debunked all the claims in your earlier thread.

In case you did not get it the first time, the following statements cannot be changed.
- Under the leadership of Buhari 2 of Nigeria's current refineries were built (Warri and Kaduna).
- Under the leadership of Soludo, the banks in Nigeria were recapitalized.
- Under the leadership of Ribadu, many corrupt politicians were charged to court for prosecution.
- Under the leadership of Stella Odua, many Airports in Nigeria were remodeled.

You can insult everyone till 2016, it will not change the facts. You are just ashamed Jonathan cannot put one Refinery to his name - even PDP 15 years of Corruption.
