I believe we all know the history of Fashola and GEJ, how they came from absolutely nothing to become power movers in the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

This got me thinking: observing the humble beginning of both of them(being that they are both products of the Nigerian university system which many say is sub-standard) and actually utilizing the necessary skills and manpower available to both of them presently. If these two men actually engage in a presidential debate, who in your candid opinion do you think will emerge victorious?.

Fashola talks most times without looking at written statements like Bill Clinton and he does that with so much clarity, conviction and confidence while GEJ would read prepared speeches and still finds it difficult to convince his listeners. In 2007, when the elections where drawing near, all lagosians thought funsho williams would be the next governor and under PDP until he was killed. Fashola came into the picture as someone with no idea who was just riding on the back of Tinubu. All I saw was just a guy with a lovely innocent smile but no vision in his campaign advert until the gubernatorial debate he had with obanikoro, jimi agbaje and one justice party ibo lady. When fashola spoke, he spoke as if he was the streets of lagos. He spoke of every nook and cranny as though he was part of their planning. He knew the development each local government was devoid of as he spoke of the need for their existence and the plans he had for their establishment. When he spoke of constructing roads in lagos, he mentioned all the routes and areas such roads would connect(like he was the local chief/baale), the benefit it would be to the people, the cost, the likeliest time for maintenance etc. He spoke of what lagos look like when he was growing and how it was a huge pride to be called a lagosian. He shared his lagos dream which included good transport system, good education, modernized markets, city beautification, reasons why a city needs beautification and how to come about it etc all of which we are witnessing today. When koro was asked of his plans for lagos, he said he was going to build schools, roads, markets etc. When asked how he was going to come about it, he had no clue. I guess he was just a politician who is used to fooling the people with visionless promises just as jimi agbaje. When the debate was over, I knew fashola would emerge governor of lagos state and would have my vote cos he spoke of my neighborhood(which I thought wasn't known) like he lived there, and in his first four years he brought development to the place. I henceforth stop viewing him as a visionless leader. Pitching GEJ against him will leave GEJ bruised badly in a total knock out cos it will be vision against cluelessness

Jonathan's failure is epic. When it comes to being accountable, he is a failure. That is why he sends Okupe, Abati, etc. He has no new ideas.
