She hissed him off. Does he think in fairy tales? She turned around and concluded that the day was gone.

Later in the evening, Courage shared her new event to her friends.

"Wow, its fine oh! Imagine the guy engaging you before you graduate! That's cool, really cool." Comfort's voice came out from the bathroom. The power supply in the room reflected on the atmosphere in the room.

"That's a lovely ring. Menn, that's a good ring. When are we wedding?" Cassie said, winking at the recently engaged bride.

"I don't know, but we are planning the traditional wedding in December. Will you guys come?"

"Noo, we will not come, we go just allow you marry like that!" Comfort shook her head like a child.

"We will come jare! Congrats!" Cassie said, looking at Courage. "Our time will soon come." She told Comfort.

"What about Adedayo? I saw him calling you." Comfort asked.

"Uh, that one? She said with a wave of hand. He came begging me for another chance. He thinks that am a roulette that he can be taking chances with."

"Aha! You should not talk like that. What if he is really sincere."

"Sin- what? Sincere ko, sin city ni! That guy almost cost me my life."

"Cassie, na you wan kill yourself, its not him."

"So? Do you know how pained I was? He spoke to me like I was useless. He called me a dead person. What is the use of the dead to the living, eh?" She asked Courage, whose face was slightly sad.

Comfort, who was watching the exchange between them, now stepped in.

Adedayo may be honest this time but what guarantees that everything will be okay? This is similar to mine situation with Tunji. We know where that ended, and I could have died with him."

"Adedayo may not be exactly Tunji, but he has come at his own cost and the simple truth is that one can love a lot and lose a lot in a relationship. Cassie has lost a lot in this relationship and she need some space, like she really does need the space."

She turned to Cassie. "I support your decision to move on, but don't just erase him from your life yet. I can see that you still hurt from the pain he caused you. Heal completely before making a final decision. Am sure you will get it right this time."

Courage looked at Cassie and smiled. "Well, I am here for you, not matter what happens." She hugged Cassie, with Comfort joining.

"Thank you."

Ten years later.


A blue Kia Jaguar stopped at the Faculty of Physical Sciences car park, taking up temporary residence there. Out of it came a woman in her thirties. The dressing and the carriage of the woman told the story of a rich woman who won't be closely connected with this dusty school, yet a glint in her eyes suggested otherwise.

Cassie Blake Adams-Balogun had grown to be a wonderfully sexy woman. Abundantly rich as at the present, her beauty glowed further despite the fact that two kids had passed through her privates. Some maturity had also grown into her as well, even though she had a childish apathy towards coming for the alumni meeting of this school.

But she could not discourage herself from coming. At least, this is where it all started, if memory serves her well. It was where she met her husband, then still a small, cute boy with immature tendencies, it was where she had made friends with many people, including lecturers. It was while she was a student that she gave her life to Jesus.

But most importantly, it was here she met those two fellows she called best of friends.

"Juwon, stop running around!" Adedayo's voice brought her back to the present as he held a three year old Juwon, her first son whose excitement at a new environment made him sort of animated. She looked at Adedayo and smiled. It took three years after graduation before she could forgive him of that incident, where he damned her to hell. They dated for a year and then married. Juwon came in three years after, and then Isabella introduced herself three months ago.

As he held his son, who was rebelling at the moment from his father's instructions, a feminine hand tapped her from behind.

"So this where you decided to park!"

"Courage!" Cassie let out a whispered scream as the two friends hugged themselves, Chidi, looking suspiciously at both of them. The precocious kid was Courage only son and despite been just six years, he could tell that something special was happening there. What it was, he did not know. Before he could probe his mother, Kenneth dragged the boy away from the scene.

"Must you follow your mum around like a bodyguard?" He said, smiled at the young boy as Adedayo walked up to greet him.

Pleasantries were been shared when another Kia Jaguar drove up with some speed, scaring passers-by before turning sharply and parking at the car park.

Comfort! Cassie said, smiling at the scene made before making up her mind to chide her friend.

Before she could do so, however, someone else was at her neck.

"Comfort! This your driving can kill people oh! I have told you, drive safely."

"Did anything happen, Shittu? Abeg free me jare, I love driving fast and am always careful. In fact, I will be more careful if you don't talk that much while am driving."

Unlike her friends who wore gorgeous native gowns, Comfort was looking smashing with her choice of a turtle neck shirt and skirt. She walked with the aura of the business CEO she was, at least to raise a company from the scratch was never going to be easy, especially if its the food industry. Shittu on the other hand, was a civil servant, who was currently on his leave. That's partially the reasoning they were here.

"Girls!" Comfort greeted her friends as they talked away the time, Ken, Adedayo and Shittu watching as the ladies enjoyed themselves.
