Hello Bomly,
Congrats on the safe arrival of your baby and thank God thatyou are both fine now.
Well, for some strange reason, the mihs pple didn't do you too well but we thank God sha. As I was reading your story, I didn't have to read to the end to have known that they shld have hooked you up to magsulphate asap because your symptoms were clearly that of preeclampsia. Its a good think your baby came out at that time because anyth longer than that, you'd have gone into seizures and required a stat c-section. Preeclampsia hits your blood, liver and placenta very fast which explains why your bloodwork took a while to clear up after delivery. Am explaining all this because I want you to realise that God truly delivered you and ur baby so give thanks my sister.

Anyways, I hope you are not leaving phoenix asap because some bills are still coming your way o. All your additional treatments, meds (mag sulph), pathology, tests (CT scan), pathology, NICU, + NICU Pediatrician, Baby's labs, Emergency room etc will not be covered by mihs maternity package. Pls wait for your bills and pay them all. Yes your bills are gonna be heavy but you can and should negotiate heavily too. Pls pay all your bills without exception and don't take medicaid no matter how they try to lure you so you won't jeopardise your chances of entering the US in future.
Pls continue to monitor your bp closely and avoid oily and salty foods. Also make sure you don't stress yourself too much, whenever you have a headache/migrane, pls check your bp and slow down.
It is well with you my sister. It will end in praise!!!

Lol, Bomly what is strange about the Post? I was one of the people who liked the post because she spoke with authority and seem to understand your situation better than I do. She also encouraged you and gave concrete suggestions on how to resolve the matter. If there is something hidden to the general house please feel free to share

Hello,
You could check dr huynh also. She's slightly cheaper. As for the hearing test. I doubt that you'd be able to negotiate that further coz that's the discounted price for self-pay patients. Pathology will give you up to 50% discount if you ask. Circ cost varies per doctor. Your ultrasound & pedi costs seem to be on the high side tho. I think you shpuld compare prices with other doctors @ whmc sha. It cld be cheaper than this.
Cheers

Thanks bloggerina.

Has any Houston mama contacted St. Joseph in downtown Houston? I will like to compare whmc with them.
I tried calling them this evening but the women's center close at 4.30pm so my call came in late.

Morning all!

For those considering or have used Dr Fagbohun, did you have to contact Oakbend separately or did you go through him?

I'm seriously considering Houston now and he's come highly recommended on here and even a few people I know in Houston.

Hi Lisamarris, her prices range from $1,500 to $2,000 depending on the kind of accommodation. Recently she mentioned to me that they can do just accommodation though i've not confirmed the price.

A forum that many close people to me successfully benefited from deserves a feedback.
Please kindly read below with an open mind (FOR ONCE PLEASE LETS DROP AGENT ISSUE AND WE NEED SOLUTIONS NOT COMPLICATIONS). It could be useful to correct or improve or change a process on this forum
Interview date:22/10/2014 8:00AM
Attended by: Husband ,Wife and Child (all well dressed smiley)

US: Good morning
VO: Good morning how you doing today?
US: Fine and u?(VO responded with a smile saying fine alright lets get started finger tinz.....)
VO: Can see you going to Elpaso, for what please?
Hus: To have our baby
VO: So how old is the pregnancy today?
Hus: 20weeks today(VO cuts in and said lets hear it all from the person carrying the baby, she is the one doing the real job grin)
Wif: 20weeks today
VO: Great, that's ok. What abi na which hospital?
Wif: Delso Medical Centre
VO: Can see doctoresparti here.
Wif :Doctoresparati is the....(VO CUTS IN)
VO: That guy aint a doctor he is just an agent, a middle man that just collects your money and pay a doctor.....bla bla bla
VO: We have done an intensive research on them they do not even have a medical license, they are no doctor or whatsoever. They are just middle man that connects you to a doctor..............
Hus:Doctoresparati is doctors office .....(VO cuts in: I wish I can tell you to go out and provide some sort of documents, but I will not be doing that its either I approve or I reject. But I tell you this guy is no doctor believe me we did our research. Typing for so long.......)
VO: Where do you work sir and for how long?(told him Bleep commission for xx yrs)
VO: Where do you work ma(wif ......petroleum corp x years )
VO: Have you paid that guy any money?
Hus: We paid ...dols for registration/enrollment fee.
Vo: Can I see the sort of appointment or document given to you
Hus: Passed the letter of medical responsibility and email correspondence
VO: Throws the letter of medical responsibility back and said I wouldn't be approving with this guy, read the email for secs and just retrun it back saying I wish wish....I would not be.................
VO: Typing for so long
VO: how much is the estimated total cost of the trip to you
Hus 3.2million about 18900dols.(with banks statement about 11million,great inflow and outflow(VO o said ok)
VO: Is there any sort of documents you have that you want to consider for this application, because I will not be .............(was weak at this point wanted to say this and that other hospital .....nut VO shakes head not willing to hear.but was best to walk away)
VO: Just returned documents and the white paper..........

That was the end of the interview. Wish it didn't go this way sad. I know some people must have used it doctores and it worked and may be using doctores which might also work. I accept that because all animals are not equal. But
1.Please let us see the above and rub minds together so that we can address the issue raised by the VO.
2.The VO seem so certain and body language says a lot.
3.He actually requested for a doctors appointment. Saying licensed doctor ( this could help others getting doctors)
4.He said affiliated doctors are mostly found on the web of the hospital or can be confirmed from the hospital (Will be confirming today if doctoresparati is affiliated. would do research to confirm)
5. I think the letter of medical responsibility should be signed

Good luck to us all. Please let us keep up the good work o this thread. Am really glad I read it all..........Cheers.

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by bu: 10:04am On Oct 24, 2014
Hello everyone,I must say this site has really helped me a lot ,got all the information I needed for my interview and I read from the first page to the last and even googled to confirm details.
Myself and hubby went for our interview in Abuja and it went like this:
VO: good morning
Us: Good morning
VO: Where in the US are you going
HUBBY:Dallas
VO: Why
HUBBY: To have our baby
VO :oh Really...Then she faced me and said so you are pregnant
ME: Yes with a smile
VO :How long have you been married
ME: so so months
VO: What do you do
US: We both told her
VO: How much do you earn
US: We told her even tho hubby gave the net figure while we filled the gross amount on the form
VO: When is your due date madam
ME: I told her the month but she asked for the specific date I was given
VO: Can I see the hospital and doctors correspondence
we gave her, then she went to the page when the hospital listed their bills and typed on the system
VO: Can I see your bank statements
US: We gave her with our budget sheet
Then she said she will have to go in with the documents to check and do some calculations....
This took almost 10 mins,I kept on praying and speaking the word, she came back...smiled and said hiii..I replied with a smile and did some typing on the system, returned our documents and told us to pick our visas the day after....
My advice...Plan,Prepare and Pray...Pray ....and pray.

I guess she went in to check the hospital and the doctors address....
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum.

Hi all,

I'm pregnant with triplets and looking for a good and affordable high risk doctor in Houston. I've called a few hospitals/doctors and have gotten some really high quotes. HAs anyone in the house had high-risk prgenancy? Please what doctor/hospital did you use and what was the cost like?
