well since godaddy inc is now the owner of afternic and also smartname so that is why you should not be surprised if godaddy said they want to list your domains on afternic or smartname.

Yes, I got same mail early this morning. It's a syndication system same as defunct Sedo's MLS which was discontinued months ago prior to Godaddy acquiry afternic.

This will enable any name on afternic to be found via Godaddy during a search and subsequently l lead to a sale.

Sedo was gaining a lot from Godaddy at that time as most enquiry came from there.

All you had to was click on the link in your email to confirm or grant them permission.

As a newbie, do not invest in futuristic domains. You can't survive the heat.

Your best bet would be to on focus or product and services related domain names. I gave some examples a few pages back.

Domain name sale is never a guarantee but its precision and accuracry rate, based on your proper research, could be increased.

For instance, I was scanning some names today. I came across a domain name with Keyword+keyword.com with 8 years of age. I typed Keywordkeyword into google and what did I see?

A facebook page bearin the name (i.e keyword keyword) with over 900k likes on it and another .net fully developed into a website. Both are owned by different persons.

Plus other smaller website using same domain name variations.

There is a high chance, though not sure yet, that either facebook page owner or the .net owner would buy the domain.

Domaining is mostly based on probability. However, with good research, the odds could be tilted in your favour.

If you need a domain for your business, you can register a .com.ng. If you want to resell a domain, stay away from .com.ng.

My guess is that if it's the same person whom you sold it to is still in possession of the name, the date would have been extended but as you can see on whois page, it reads September 2014 as a date of registration and hugedomains as the owner.

I am so happy right now. If you read the beginning of this thread, you will see where I cited that Google has frustrated my friend's effort in making good money from site flipping.

He fought on.... As usual, he was hit again by google.

But grace and favor overshadowed him.

Today he is $8,000 richer as I type this. I introduced him into site flipping back in 2009 but I never had ample time to do it due to circumstances beyond me.

The site in question was supposed to have been sold for $15539 according to him but when he got hit by Google the site lost every fiber of value it had left, but someone from nowhere contacted him and paid $8,000 for it.

Hard Work Pays!

I just happy for him. The guy suffer no be small... But I am glad it paid off.
