I am not into politics but Ameachi went too far with his rants about the president. Jokes apart, that is the highest office in the country and the No. 1 person in this country and he deserves all the respect he can get. We have now turned our country's politics into a laughing stock as international bodies would defintely be amazed at Ameachi's public show of shame. I think its high time some people know where their boundaries lies and be made to stay their. He behaved really rascally...like a motor tout! angry

Bros, dey your lane joor! Na GEJ ridicule that office by himself. Na true Amaechi talk.

Listen my bro, GEJ stated it categorically in his new foreign policy that he's going to start looking inward. It's in his tenure that Nigeria becomes the largest economy in Africa. He built schools for the almajiris, something that even all the Northern Leaders could not do. He gave some state Federal Universities. Automobile industry is waxing stronger, now we have locally made vehicles. My mum went to the market to buy a a bag of rice that was normally sold for 10,500 naira but she bought it for 8000 naira. Morethan 1/3 of the rice we consume are made in Nigeria but you don't know. What about our Federal Roads? Throughout OBJ's tenure he could not reconstruct the Benin-Ore Road, just go and check its state now. In fact, the list is endless. Moreover, you can never find development where there's instability but Gej broke that jinx. Despite the insecurity we are still moving. The insecurity he didn't cause. The only area I know we've not felt him much is in power, but he's coming. One step at a time.
great ... how many of our graduates from these universities match up to the ones in south africa that is just in africa here ... our universities used to be number one , those states dont need universities ... there is no state in NIgeria you will not find either a federal or state university before gej came into power. why construct new buildings in the name of universities when it took over 6 months to address ASUU strike ... every part used in that automobile industry is imported , it was only assembled here ... we cant manufacture the steel for those cars when there is perfectly nothing wrong with the steel mill in kogi . your mum was able to but the rice because either she works or because you work I wouldnt know but there are millions of graduates who are so smart and intelligent but are jobless they cant buy the rice you just said ... there are policies we expect jonathan to have made .we keep watching economic forums and see nigerian sign investments with foreigners yet nothing is happenin ... what will it take those defunct industries to be privatised and made function creatin jobs , generating income via tax. if the states can complete projects, how much more federal govt .

Can you distinguish Ethics from Politics? My bro, what is morally wrong can never be politically right. That's why our politicans fail because they separate Ethics from Politics, these are inseparable.

The largest economy is as a result of rebasing and not as a result of any contribution from Jonathan. It has more to do with what happened long before him and especially during Obasanjo with the rise of Nigerian entertainment industry, agriculture, banking and telecommunications. They are all OBJ's babies. Let's not go to roads even though Nigeria had less money to work with as at then because oil price was not so high.

This guy is not showing any form of intelligence in the way he speaks publicly. He seems so sure that GEJ will lose the next election. So what is his exit strategy if GEJ wins?

If you go to those states that were given Federal Universities and tell them that they don't need it they might linch you. Do you know the essence and importance of Federal Universities in most of these remote states? The intellectual importance, economic value and infrastructural development are immeasurable.
We are growing at our own pace. Where was South Africa when we overtook them economically? Personally, as a Nigerian graduate from a Nigerian university I can stand any South African graduate in any area of my field of study.

This administration has done more for the railways than any past civilian one. The president recently commissioned modern coaches on the Lagos- Kaduna route and the Port Harcourt - Kaduna line is also being revamped.

2015: PDP Govs Confront Jonathan Over First Lady by Tbillz(m): 6:57am
•Demand assurances President’s wife won’t
determine their successors
THERE are indications that President Goodluck
Jonathan and governors of the on the platform
of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are at
war over what sources close to the party
describe as “unwarranted interference in
political affairs” by the first lady, Dame Patience
Jonathan.
It was gathered that most leaders of the party
were not happy at the meddlesomeness of the
First Lady in clear party affairs.
A highly respected PDP stalwart said President
Jonathan risked protest votes from party
members to save the country from further
embarrassment by the First Lady.
The source who craved anonymity told our
reporter, “I have spoken to many elders in the
party and they said they would not vote for
President Jonathan because of his wife. Even
myself will not vote for PDP.
“It is not because we hate the president but we
can no longer cope with the overbearing
influence of his wife. So, expect among other
things protest votes against Jonathan by even
PDP members.”
The source added that at a recent meeting with
the president, some of the governors tabled the
issue of the president’s wife’s overbearing
influence in political affairs.
According to the source, the governors sought to
extract commitment from President Jonathan
that his wife should not impose candidates on
their states in 2015.
Buttering the argument, the source referred to
the scenario in Rivers State where Patience
Jonathan is leading a campaign to make former
Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike
Governor.
The source added, “The party elders are
watching with shame the macabre dance in
Rivers State by the First Lady. Recently, the First
Lady visited Nyesom Wike in his house in Port
Harcourt.
“In that televised visit, she held Wike’s hand and
placed it in the hand of Dr. Peter Odili. It is an
endorsement and it has never happened
before. That singular act is unbecoming of a First
Lady. With what she is doing in Rivers, we won’t
be surprised if PDP loses that state to APC”.
The source added that in the history of
Presidency in Nigeria, no First Lady was allowed
by her husband to desecrate the office of the
President the way Dame Patience had done.
“This is the first time a wife of the President
would be allowed by her husband to be this
powerful. It is shameful that Dame Patience has
the liberty to summon service chiefs, ministers
and top members of our party at will.
“Remember her meddlesomeness in the Chibok
girls’ saga how she called meetings of service
chiefs and parents of the girls and was shouting
at them, insulting them on national television.
“Where has it happened before? It was one
embarrassment too many for Nigeria. The First
Lady has brought the country to ridicule and
party leaders are not happy with her excesses”,
the source observed.
The source further accused the First Lady of
acting without seeking the permission of her
husband adding that she had made President
Jonathan look like a weakling.
“Nigerians are amused that she has no regard
for her husband. Imagine her recent resignation
as a Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa State Civil
Service. Before the appointment, she begged for
it and even her husband appealed for it.
“It was the appointment that even the last
Governor of the state, Mr. Timipre Sylva,
refused to give her. But when she resigned
because of her problem with Governor Seriake
Dickson, she did not tell her husband.
“She has been boasting to her aides and other
governors that she would ensure that Dickson
does not return and that there is nothing even
her husband will do about it. The President must
call his wife to order to stand a chance,” the
source said, adding “What we don’t understand
is why the President is allowing her to carry on
the way she is doing. I think there is something
the First Lady is using as a secret weapon
against the President that we don’t know. No
President has allowed his wife to be this power
drunk. What is happening is not normal.”
Mrs. Jonathan had in April this year paid a
solidarity visit to Wike in his Abuja residence,
saying her visit was to give him her blessings,
noting that the governorship aspirant proved
himself as a member of the federal executive
council.
She said, “I am giving you the blessing of a
mother. The blessing a mother gives to a
beloved son. Go and you will conquer. He is a
Minister that delivered while he served in the
cabinet. Wike proved himself and is ready to
serve in a higher capacity”.
The first lady further described the former
minister as a listening and respectful politician,
who heeded her counsel to drop his senatorial
aspiration in 2011.
“You listened to me and dropped your
senatorial aspiration. I pray God to protect you,
lead you and please go on with your aspiration.
“I have hand you (Wike) over to our father, Dr.
Peter Odili and the people of Rivers State. You
are going to Rivers State for the betterment of
all of us and to wipe our tears,” she stated.
Responding, Wike assured the first lady that the
PDP would emerge victorious in all elections in
Rivers come 2015.)

Amechi talked (“They tell you that you should not vote for these people, because they are Hausa people, they are Muslims, but the refinery in Rivers State was built and commissioned by Tafawa Balewa, he is a northerner. Shehu Shagari started NAFCON, Ibrahim Babangida commissioned it. IBB started the Eleme Petrochemical Company, Sani Abacha completed it. They are all northerners; they are all Muslims. NLNG was started and completed by Abacha and he is a northerner and a Muslim. Bonny NLNG, NDDC, Niger Delta Ministry were established by northerners.

“In fact, when Yar’Adua was alive, Niger Delta Ministry was working, Now it is only one item: East-West Road, and they say he (President Jonathan) is our brother. He is not my brother. My brother is the man who delivers on his services for me. If the President says he is our brother, let him call one project (his administration has embarked upon in Rivers State).”

Tell me what is not true here.

U re supporting jonathan base on sentiment whille some of u can't even eat once a day. I b yoruba man but if na hausa go lead me well am ready to vote for him and not this jona that deceived me the last time that he has no shoes and now we people who voted him in have no shoe while he has plenty shoes. Let us just be realistic. All the sectors you've just mentioned had all been influenced directly or indirectly by GEJ'S local and foreign policies. Do you know the essence of making policy? Even if GEJ takes the smartest move or make the best policies, if you are not a changed person the policy will never be effective. Contribute your best. Think of what you'll do for your country not only what your country will do for you...
hw do you mean a polcy wont be effective , I dont wait for the government , I never waited ... if you know me on here you will know that but it does not mean I dont have to say the truth because not everyone is as opportuned as I have been . bro , dont condemn ameachi because he speaks , you and I know the truth ... we should stop being sentimental . you just agreed he has been making dumb policies ... how does the price of rice you mentioned earlier puts food on the table of a taxi driver that buys fuel over a hundred naira ... what happened to the said marketers that were alleged to be spending subsidy money . why cant our refineries work so we can buy fuel at a lower price ... yet dangote has been given a license to build refinery so he can start selling at his own price . there are just stuffs that are not just right brother .. I dont know the dept you work with in ur company but if you have managed a business or managed resouces and team of workers you will sure understand my point.

Just because of hate and envy I don't know why most people will not want to give honour to whom honour is due. Just imagine someone crediting OBJ instead of GEJ for our economic growth and development. It's quite disheartening and unfair!!
my prayer to you this evening is that may this kind of growth be imminent in the life of you and your family.
