This is how they kill n waste innocent citizens while the real CRIMINALS keep roaming the streets freely. 3years is not 3months,3weeks or 3days. This is very bad!

God who kept you alive during the worst period of your live will compensate you for having to go through the worst any sane and rightly thinking person should go through.

Those who go about terrorizing people believing they are well armed and our military can't match them should know there is a greater military force that can destroy all military might in a twinkle of an eye.

May the elements of the Earth punish N reveal all Boko Haram members and their sponsors and anyone who thinks he can use the insurgency to further his political ambition shall have destruction and waste placed at the door of his success. Every blood shed by Boko Haram.shall hunts and get justice on the surface of the earth.

That is what happens when you don't know who is who because the people collaborated with BH and shared their course!!!

If this guy is innocent then I'm so sorry for him but the good thing here is that the Nigerian Military can now be proved to be human/very professional and not shooting "everything that moved" as was previously alleged

There's a presidential fund available to innocent victims for their rehabilitation just in case...

God will punish you for this imbecilic post!

So the guy was held without trial, ILLEGALLY for three years, he witnessed some people even die in detention and you're here claiming that the Military was 'humane' and 'professional'?

I pray you get treated this 'humanely' and 'professionally'.

You can take that 'presidential fund' of a very meager 100k and shove it up your backside. If your life is so worthless that 100K will compensate you for 3 years of detention, why assume everyone else is so bereft of ambition?

Anyone who has spent time in the NE, especially Maiduguri, would know that soldiers do not arrest just anybody on the streets, or whom they feel like arresting. There must be something to have warranted that.
Not throwing stones, but then, even Wulari was a hotspot for the insurgents. He must have knowingly or inadvertently been involved with shady characters to have been arrested in the first place.

The military shouldn't just arrest anyone. They need to investigate every lead and info thoroughly before making arrests. Torture shouldn't be applied until they're 100% sure the suspect is a Boko haram agent with useful information.

If you've watched the Hollywood/Bollywood movie titled 'New York', you'll understand that the innocent ones can be converted to Boko haram sleeper cells in detention.

This guy needs to be compensated and monitored too.

No need for this fury, man. Inasmuch as I acknowledge that there are bad eggs within the military, the soldiers are doing everything humanly possible to contain the overwhelming state of things. In war, there must be inevitable collateral damage.

Is he a Christian or a Moslem? If a Christian then God will fight for him but if a Moslem, then he's a potential terrorist.

Dude, na US soldiers wey no dey violate human rights? Forget all this Western propaganda. The US army did worse things in Afghanistan. They did worse to Guantanamo detainees too.

Not necessarily true. He might have been spotted at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Same thing happened after 9/11 in the US. Many innocent people were detained.

Our military cannot be without flaws but they really need to step up their game and employ modern techniques of combating terrorism. The detain and torture procedure is so 2001.
