The buck stop with the manager. Period.

Keshi is one arrogant person without technical ability. The team has been pathetic and on free fall for a long time.

The SE has relied on luck for a long time and lack performance. It does not deserve to be champions of Africa.

They were humilated at the confederation cup in Brazil last year only managing to beat some Australia asian country.

Thank goodness that we didn't qualify. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

We as a nation should stop celebrating mediocrity.

I thought you guys are happy he listened to you and brought back Uche.

Coach Keshi's faults were not bringing in Emem Eduok and not starting Aaron Samuel and Aluko.

Apart from that, the players failed terribly. Uche and Musa had enough chances to win the game. We missed about five clear cut chances.

It seems you did not watch today's game. The chances came in abundance. When will you blame lack of development of talents?

You guys keep saying luck. This game shows that Coach Keshi can win with better players. We had five clear cut chances. How man of our players play in top clubs?

Why is it that we Nigerians don't
accept defeat ? we fail to qualify
because we were not good enough
period !!! we just need to go back to
the drawing board and get things right

Though its a shame but we have to live
with it & hopefully we will come back strong

[b]Nigerians Fans Are To Blame For The Draw To South Africa

It has come to the blaming season. Coach Keshi is the scape goat. However, the truth must be told. Since Coach Keshi took the job as the Super Eagles coach, I liked the fact he em,braced competition. We saw him drop someone of the calibre of Osaze, Uche, Yobo, Taiwo, etc. Before or during the Nations Cup. Nigerians, from the stands, to the members of the NFF, to ex-Super Eagles players, criticised and fought his decisions.

Coach Keshi was right creating a dynamic team. A team that changes are seen and always filled with hungry players which have a lot to prove.

Many criticizing Coach Keshi should criticize themselves. Did they embrace change? Today, Aluko and Aaron Samuel deserved to start. They had been the instrument of change in the team. However, the Coach did not start them. Why criticize him now when he was criticized for doing that all the way.

I watched the Nigeria vs Sudan match at Abuja and saw fans holding Placards asking for Ikechukwu Uche. The fans did not want Aluko who was on the bench. No, they wanted Uche.

So criticizing Coach Keshi today might fly. He refused to start Aluko and Aaron Samuel. The question these fans, ex-Players and NFF members should ask themselves is, What were their reactions when Coach Keshi invited these players and tried to make a change.

These are the main culprits of our failure today.

Finally, the fans in Uyo were shameful. Our team was down 2-0 against South Africa and the Uyo fans booed them. These players needed the fans to get behind them, believe and cheer them to victory. Instead, the players had to battle with a twelve man South African team. With the Uyo fans being the twelfth man. Disgraceful.

I disagree wit ur analysis dat nigerian fans r to b blame. Although most nigerian fans can unrealistic, buh most of wat dey say is d simple truth.
Keshi is d one wholly to b blamed 4 dis cos he took d praise wen we won d AFCON last year. Keshi main problem is dat he failed to plan and anticipate a lot of situations. He only has a 1st eleven and no bench. Also he has a team were majority of his players has no competition even wen dey play badly (e.g mikel, emenike, ambrose, onazi etc). U n I knows wat competition brings to a team, it keeps everyone on his toes. All dat I hav listed was evident 2day. Keshi started an unfit kenneth omeruwo b/cos he oboabona was suspended, buh d question is was egwuekwe d best defender we hav? Wen we hav kunle odunlami, gbenga arokoyo, james okwuosa, ochuko ojoboson. Only keshi knows d reason y he keeps using ambrose as a RB wen we hav d likes of bright esime, akeem latifu, daniel adejo, solomon kwambe, peter suswam. How come keshi does not use d likes of ruban Gabriel, Michael ucheabo, uche nwafor etc during qualifying buh ones d team has qualified, dey suddenly make d final list? In conclusion, I tink keshi is solely to be blamed for our non qualification.

Aluko was to start today. Your comment does not change the fact that fans came with placards to the stadium asking for Uche. As Amaju Pinnick said, he was scared for Coach Keshi's life.

The hand writing was on the wall. He was criticized for calling Aaron Samuel. What about the fans booing the players? Was that Coach Keshi?

The NFF destroy the morale of both the coach and the players. I don't know why nigeria play politics with everything. The only thing that made happy over the outcome of dat match is that south africa did not achieve their aim, i.e beating us.

It is very easy to blame Keshi for every thing, but let us all remember that we failed to qualify for this same tournament just 3 years ago, and Keshi was not in charge then. We have gone from being a country that makes it to the semi finals of every Afcon since 1988 (save for 2008) to a country that fails to qualify twice in three successive editions.

There is a fundamental problem with our football development, and until we address it squarely, we will continue to endure these disappointments. Changing coaches like socks is only a stop gap measure. Where are the quality players excelling at top clubs? Instead we have grown accustomed to celebrating mediocre players who don't play with heart because they believe their own hype.

We need a football philosophy that will cut across from U-13 to the super eagles.

After spending their hard earned money, they boo the team. These fans should know their support can help the team turn around the fortunes of the game?

what else were we expecting? most of our players are good bench warmer in their respective clubs...omeruo hardly plays, Mikel is always an unused sub, emenike has goal draught since 1960, keshi n his crew instead of going for the latest technical rudiment of d game only end up watching EPL.. PDP should please band them all.

We are not at our best right now

why do you single out keshi, putting him on the spot lite. What of the northern cabal at NFF that has made the glass house a fortress where corruption, kick backs and nepotism is the order of the day. keshi is will leave with his head high, But won't go down alone, there will be a total cleansing of the glass house, I think now we will gladly accept the Almighty FIFA ban.
FIFA doesn't fund NFF, FG funds it, and should call the shorts.
A FIFA ban would affect the Super Falcons and the other national teams.
Instead of calling for a 'ban', the NFF should contract Siasia to handle the SE.

The NFF and fans would have to immediately look forward to the 2018 WC qualifiers which would, for Nigeria, start in 2016; and the Olympic qualifiers.

The problem was not from this game. It was obvious players like Musa were under too much pressure to win and couldn't handle it. The team gave their best in today's match but our defence was simply nonexistent. I say in life, you win some and you lose some. I hope we learn from this.

Ultimately, I'll say the issues in the NFF really messed up this campaign for the eagles. The players should not be blamed.
I'm now dreading the prospect of Egwuekwe facing the likes of Neymar, Oscar and Willian on March 29th grin
