Thanks so much VO. God bless you. I'll send another email, my case number is LGS2012616001.

We sent you an e-mail in October that said:

Thank you for your email.

According to our records, we were unable to reach you on the phone number you provided. An e-mail was sent to you to inform you to return to the Consulate with your passport, new medical and police certificates; you will also need to fill out the DS260 online form. You may contact the National Visa center at NVCinquiry@state.gov to request your invoice number, which is needed to fill out the DS260. Print out the confirmation of the form and return with these documents on any business day except Fridays at 1pm.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Hi VO and welcome back to the forum. We really missed you here..I will like to ask if you have an idea of when case would be completed/ approved after sending it to USCIS....(months)??.My wife who is a LPR just sent out the I-130 form this week..Am trying to prepare myself for the wait time as I know how tiring the process is because of the loneliness.. Pls,any share idea would be appreciated. Thank u.

It can take six to eight months for a case to make it through USCIS -- if the case is documentarily complete and USCIS doesn't have to ask for more information. But that won't affect you, because your priority date is the date a case is filed, and the waiting time for your visa category (F2A) is around a year and a half. So the six to eight months will be absorbed into that period anyway.

VO, please my brother's wife is coming to USA to have baby with Visiting Visa. I want to know if this is possible and what are the likely questions to be asked at the POE? Can she come with her B1 b2 visa and have baby in the United states? Thank you for your response.

Oreos1984:
Hello C/O I have a question regarding my pending I-130 case. My husband applied for a travels visa in October 2012 . At that time we was not married he was denied. While preparing to apply for traveler visa he hired a person to assist him with the paperwork. At this point the travel agent informed him to put married on his application so he did and so a married certificate was given to him to use by travel agent but the visa was denied . In 2013 February I went to Nigeria to Marry my husband unbeknown to me the previous had happened. We filed our case in March 2013 case complete in April 2014 interview June 2014 at that time in the interview he was question bout the wife that was used on travel visa . We got denied . My question is will he ever make it to usa now ? Please please help !!!!

Unfortunately, he has created quite a credibility issue for himself. USCIS should contact you to ask you for more information before they close the case; if you explain what happened, they will likely reaffirm the case and send it back to us. At that point the case will probably go into administrative processing while we try to figure out what the truth is. If he's really married to you and you have a bona fide spousal relationship, he'll likely end up with a visa eventually.

And thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! K visa holders do not need to pay the $165 USCIS fee, because technically, K visas are non-immigrant visas processed by the Immigrant Visa Unit. We're all so intent on not forgetting to tell people about the fee that we sometimes forget that K applicants are exempt! Apologies to all the K people we've confused with this.

As we informed you earlier: "We have not yet received your paper file at Post. When we receive it, we shall schedule an interview for you and inform you as appropriate. Meanwhile, to give you a head start, kindly print the attached interview instruction packet and visit www.state.gov to complete the online immigration form (DS-260) in preparation for the interview. You'll need to contact NVC at NVCInquiry@state.gov to get the invoice ID number if you don't already have it. The full instructions are on the website at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html.

Additionally, you should visit any of the medical facilities indicated on page six of the attached instructions immediately for your medical examination.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us any time.

Hello good day to you ma, I was just reviewing our online DS260 form and found out that our lawyer made a mistake in answering NO where the question says Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry? And the answer should be yes because my man has been refused a student visa application 3 times. Please ma how do we correct this? Here is our case number LGS2013560001. I feel like crying right now I can't afford to mess things up with the error made by our lawyer, we have already withdrew them that we no longer want there service.
Thank you very much ma and I really appreciate all the quick answers to our questions.

Mrs Flora J, Olasupo.

Greetings! Your father can't be both a U.S. citizen and a Legal Permanent Resident. It's important to know which he is. If he filed for an F2B visa, likely he's a Legal Permanent Resident. Right now cases filed before Jan. 1, 2008, are eligible to be interviewed, so the wait time is running around seven years.

Dear VO,

Our case # is LGS2014598025. Unfortunately when I sent the email to the embassy I left a a number out so was shocked to see if they even received my email. If u can check to see if they received the email I sent it would be greatly appreciated and if ur able to give us an update that would be appreciated as well.

Nalacandi

Dear VO,

Was wondering if you could check the status of our case again to see if any proprogress has been made. LGS2014598025. Just hoping we have made some headway in hopes for Christmas. Also, I am moving tomorrow and wanted to ask if I should email the embassy and let you all know my new updated address. Of course, I would prefer to not post on here for privacy reasons.

Thanks so much for all you do,

Nalacandi

Hi Visa Officer, I am Nigerian living in Poland.. and I will like to know the Warsaw Poland equivalent of the LagosIV@state.gov email which can be used to contact the US consulate in Warsaw for an Immigrant (DV) related question regarding my situation which I have discussed here before.
I have sent a few emails to the publicwaw@state.gov email which I got from their website with no responses. I would really appreciate it if I can get an email with which to contact the Immigrant(DV) Visa section or any DV handling Visa officer of the Warsaw consulate.
Thanks.

It's actually good in this case that the husband is still a Legal Permanent Residents. If he were a U.S. citizen, he would need to file a whole new petition for his child. IR1 and CR1 petitions don't allow derivatives.[/quote

Hi VO,please i need clarification on this particular response.
Is their no provision for the report of US citizen birth abroad? What i mean is that if i report to the embassy that my husband (the father of my baby)is a US citizen, won't the embassy give our child the US passport?Cos i wouldn't want to leave a baby behind when my visa clicks and after my wedding next year.
