Schematics:
Why didn't ACN nor Labour Party nor APGA present candidates for the said position in 2011?

Why was it only PDP that presented candidates (Tambuwal and Mulikat)?

Why is that?

You need to know the basis for the election in the first place, which is based on majority party in the House and not the other way round..

You are very foolish my friend. Your reasoning is short of wisdom. Are you saying in the HOR, PDP and other parties should start printing posters for speakership election by INEC?

Once in the House, each member who aspires to the post of speakership starts lobbying other members for votes. Whoever emerges speaker does so my maximum number of votes, not because his party has majority.

This is a right move.

Is he still the speaker of the House? NO

He got Speaker's post because PDP was and is still the majority in the House. Now that he has pitched his tent with APC which has minority in the House, the right thing to do is to relinquish his position immediately he decamped.

I don't know why some people want to create unnecessary attention.

You can't eat your 'gworo kola' and have it back!
But why didn't they allow the members who voted him in as their speaker also be the ones to vote him out instead of creating unnecessary tension

. Sir your assertion is wrong, the house elects for its self a speaker ie (1st among equals) and the speaker is from the house and NOT any political party. In other words, the members elects who they want irrespective of the party. But what happens is that the party that has the majority will always win, because all members will vote one person.

Guy,

You are wrong on all levels!!!
He is still the speaker of the House.
He became speaker when he was 'elected' by the majority of the house of reps. Not because PDP is still majority.
What stupid PDP should do to remove him from the post is to impeach him using their majority IF THEY CAN.

Stop talking thrash when you obviously don't know!!!
I just hope you are not a teacher/lecturer somewhere!!

GO TO COURT

GET A COURT ORDER TO STOP TAMBUWAL FROM PARADING HIMSELF AS THE SPEAKER.

THAT IS WHAT IS EXPECTED IN A DEMOCRATIC AND LAW ABIDING COUNTRY INSTEAD OF RESORTING TO ANARCHY AND TYRANNY.
