Let even assume it's true, why was it not upheld when members decamped to PDP?
Even till date, nothing is happening to those ones?

Good question but only the IGP can answer that

hello ooooo,it is the COURT that has the right to interpret the constitution and not the IG.....so why is the IG doing the job of the court??

Section 68 (g) (1) is very clear and unambiguous. Maybe the police should also wait for the court to declare someone caught robbing a robber before arresting him.

Then what is the purpose of the court since the police is allowed to do that??
The court is there to hear your complain and give a verdict. The court does not execute the law. The police do.

That Tinubu was not arrested by EFCC didn't make Igbinedion escape, did it?

He wasn't arrested because he has no case. If he has, surely tewonde George would have ensured that.

The fool can't answer it. He only chases whoever Jonathan instructs him to chase and not upholding and constitution. This is obvious.

GEJ has already denounced his involvement.

We have a problem of institutionalised corruption in the system, and now Jonathan has institutionalised impunity amongst our security agencies. This is really terrible and portend grave danger for our budding democracy !! Since when did it become the duty of the police chief to interpret the constitution

The damage Jonathan's style of politics/leadership has injected into our national life would take years to undo!!

I weep for my country.

However, the lawmakers were angry when Abba refused to recognise Tambuwal as Speaker and demanded him to revert his position. The session got heated as the lawmakers took turn to rebuff the IGP.

What nonsense! An ordinary IGP that was appointed. I thought he said, he won't appear before the house.

You see my problem with most of you who do nothing in here but insult people, you have absolutely nothing upstairs.

Do yourself a favour: look up the difference between "enforce" and "interpret".

Just look at yourself.

The speaker or senate president is the one empowered to declare a seat vacant. In the case of Tambuwal, he satisfied that requirement by announcing his defection on the floor of the house.

The primary duty of the police is to prevent the break down of law and order. They have the powers to preempt and act accordingly to nip any matter in the bud that could lead to a breakdown of law and order and in the case of Tambuwal, their action is in tandem with that mandate.

And u think an IGP will go ahead to carry out a gustapo operation like that without aso rock knowing. U sound very gullible.
Anyway, IGP is answerable to him
