There is no perfect denomination, but I know Christianity is acceptable unto God through personal experience. If a person pray a sincere prayer with all his/her heart asking God for forgiveness of his/her sins( which is starting point of man's relationship with God), through the name of Jesus Christ, God will hear from heaven and answer the prayer by giving you a joy in your heart and his spirit will confirm to your spirit that you are now born again. You will be as sure in your heart as when you see light and and identify the difference between darkness and light. This is different from the mental acceptance of Christ which many carry about in this generation. It is experiential!, It is real! and It is sure. Why is it that many atheist come here and create threads questioning others believes and not theirs. What is the percentage of those who convert? How many can even sustain the thought of converting. We can conduct a survey here on NL and ask adherents of each religion if they can convert to a rival religion or any religion for that matter for any reason. We can even go further to ask if they can ever leave their present sect for another e.g Catholic to Pentecostal or Sunni to Shi'a. The overwhelming response would be "NO".Why? Because each adherent feels absolutely confident that he's in the right. Infact, in recent times, more Muslims and Christians are deconverting and becoming nonbelievers than they are converting to the other's religion.


You imply that there are many other possible reasons apart from indoctrination why one might adhere to one religion over others, please let me know these "many possible reasons". The fact remains that the vast majority of religious adherents believe what they believe simply because they were raised in such belief systems. Just compare what your religion teaches with the Bible. If the harmony is 100% you have found the true religion. John 13:35 says: " By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” Red flags: If your religion teaches these popular false doctrine: Trinity, Celebration of Christmas, Easter, Collection of tithes,--most of these are rooted in paganism! Genesis1:9-19 claims God created the earth before the heavens.(it is a well known fact that our planet came from its own star, the sun. Funny abi? Religion is an act of seeking for God and How to please Him. Many(e.g Monk) Pray 1000 times a Day to reach God. Christianity is not a Religion because we are not seeking for God, we have found Him,and He is well pleased with us. So we enter into a Relationship with Him. Christianity is not a Religion, But a Relationship( Father - Children Relationship)

A good number of examples but let me mention a few.

Quite a lot of muslims, dedicated muslims, brought up in muslim background have had encouter with Christ and became chriistians. Stood their ground in the face of severe persecution from family members and community because of their conviction.

You hardly see a dedicated christian joining islam.
Most christians who join islam do so based on marriage, politics or money but none will tell you he had a personal encouter with Muhammed.

What I'm saying is that its not culture that determines true religion. Christianity has broken into various cultures and backgroud.
