30 Facts About Islam by personal59: 10:20pm On Dec 15, 2014
1) "Islam" means "surrender" or "submission". "Salam" (which means "peace"wink is the root word of "Islam". In a religious context the word "Islam" means "the surrendering of one's will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace".

2) "Muslim" means "anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God". By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are "muslims" because they are in a state of surrender to God's will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.

3) Islam is not a new religion or cult. It is a universal way of life and civilization. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.

4) There are five pillars of practice in Islam. These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due "tax" - 2.5% of one's excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able. E) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan.

5) There are six articles of faith in Islam. These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.

6) Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, economical, etc.

7) Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. To become Muslim, a person of any race or culture must say a simple statement, the shahadah, that bears witness to the belief in the One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God.

cool "Allah" is an Arabic word that means "God". Muslims also believe that "Allah" is the personal name of God.

9) Allah is not the God of Muslims only. He is the God of all people and all creation. Just because people refer to God using different terms does not mean there are different gods. Many Hispanics refer to God as "Dios" and many French refer to God as "Dieu" yet they mean the same God. Many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God "Allah" and the word "Allah" (in Arabic script) appears on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles. Although the understanding of God may differ between the various faith groups, it does not change the fact that the One Lord and Creator of the Universe is the God of all people.

10) The Islamic concept of God is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is just and swift in punishment. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, "My mercy prevails over my wrath". So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair.

11) Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur'an. It is through these names that one can come to know the Creator. A few of these names are the All-Merciful, the All-Knower, the Protector, the Provider, the Near, the First, the Last, the Hidden and the Source of All Peace.

12) The Christian concept of "vicarious atonement" (the idea that Jesus died for the sins of humanity) is alien to the Islamic concept of personal responsibility. Islam teaches that on the Day of Judgment every person will be resurrected and will be accountable to God for their every word and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous while hoping and praying for God's acceptance and grace.

13) Muslims believe in all of the true prophets that preceded Muhammad, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe they brought the same message of voluntarily surrendering to God's will (islam, in a generic sense) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe they were "muslims" (again, in a generic sense) since they followed God's true guidance and surrendered their will to Him.

14) Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him. Muslims solely worship the Unseen and Omniscient Creator, Allah.

15) Muslims accept the original unaltered Torah (as revealed to Moses) and the original unaltered Bible (as revealed to Jesus) since they were revealed by God. But none of these scriptures exist today in their original form or in their entirety. Therefore, Muslims follow the subsequent, final and preserved revelation of God, the Qur'an.

16) The Qur'an was not authored by Muhammad. It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.

17) The original Arabic text of the Qur'an contains no flaws or contradictions, and has not been altered since its revelation.

18) Actual 7th century Qur'ans, complete and intact, are on display in museums in Turkey and other places around the world.

19) If all Qur'ans in the world today were destroyed, the original Arabic would still remain. This is because millions of Muslims, called "hafiz" (or "guardians"wink have memorized the text letter for letter from beginning to end, every word and every syllable. Also, chapters from the Qur'an are precisely recited from memory in each of the five formal prayers performed daily by hundreds of millions of Muslims throughout the world.

20) Some attribute the early and rapid spread of Islam to forced conversions by the sword. While it is accurate that the Muslim empire initially spread, for the most part, through battles and conquests (a common phenomenon for that time) the religion of Islam itself was never forced on anyone who found themselves living under Muslim rule. In fact, non-Muslims were afforded the right to worship as they pleased as long as a tax, called "jizyah", was paid. During the Dark Ages, Jews, Christians and others were given protection by the Muslims from religious persecutions happening in Europe. Islam teaches no compulsion in religion (Qur'an 2:256 and 10:99). For more, read "The Spread of Islam in the World" by Thomas Arnold.

21) Terrorism, unjustified violence and the killing of non-combatant civilians (or even intimidating, threatening or injuring them) are all absolutely forbidden in Islam. Islam is a way of life that is meant to bring peace to a society whether its people are Muslim or not. The extreme actions of those who claim to be Muslim may be a result of their ignorance, frustration, uncontrolled anger or political (not religious) ambitions. Anyone who condones or commits an act of terrorism in the name of Islam is simply not following Islam and is, in fact, violating its very tenets. These people are individuals with their own personal views and agendas. Fanatical Muslims are no more representative of the true teachings of Islam than fanatical Christians are of the true teachings of Christianity or fanatical Jews are of the true teachings of Judaism. The most prominent examples of such "religious" fanatics are Anders Behring Breivik, the 2011 Norwegian terrorist who claimed in his manifesto to be "100 percent Christian" and Baruch Goldstein, perpetrator of the 1994 Hebron massacre who is considered by some Jews to be a "hero" and a "saint". Extremism and fanaticism are problems not exclusive to Muslims. Anyone who thinks that all Muslims are terrorists should remember that the former boxer Muhammad Ali, perhaps the most celebrated person of our era, is a practicing Muslim.

22) The word "jihad" does not mean "holy war". It actually means "to struggle" or "to strive". In a religious context it means the struggle to successfully surrender one's will to the will of God. Some Muslims may say they are going for "jihad" when fighting in a war to defend themselves or others, but they say this because they are conceding that it will be a tremendous struggle. But there are many other forms of jihad which are much more relevant to the everyday life of a Muslim such as the struggles against laziness, arrogance, stinginess, one's own ego, or the struggle against a tyrant ruler or against the temptations of Satan, etc. Regarding the so-called verses of "holy war" in the Qur'an, two points: A) The term "holy war" neither appears in the Arabic text of the Qur'an nor in any classical teachings of Islam. B) The vast majority of verses in the Qur'an pertaining to violence refer to wartime situations in which Muslims were permitted to defend themselves against violent aggression. Any rational, intellectual analysis of the context and historical circumstances surrounding such verses, often ignored by pundits or violent extremists, proves this to be true. Other verses of violence deal with stopping oppression, capital punishment and the like.

23) Women are not oppressed in Islam. Any Muslim man that oppresses a woman is not following Islam. Among the many teachings of Muhammad that protected the rights and dignity of women is his saying, "...the best among you are those who treat their wives well."

24) Islam grants women many rights in the home and in society. Among them are the right to earn money, to financial support, to own property, to an education, to an inheritance, to being treated kindly, to vote, to a bridal gift, to keep their maiden name, to worship in a mosque, to a divorce, and so on.

25) Muslim women wear the head-covering (hijab) in fulfillment of God's decree to dress modestly. This type of modest dress has been worn by religious women throughout time such as traditional Catholic nuns, Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary.

26) Forced marriages, honor killings, female genital mutilation and the confinement of women to their homes are all forbidden in Islam. These practices stem from deeply entrenched cultural traditions and/or ignorance of the true Islamic teachings or how to apply them in society. Arranged marriages are allowed in Islam but are not required. In fact, one of the conditions for a valid Islamic marriage contract is the mutual consent of both parties to the marriage. And divorce is permissible provided the Islamic guidelines are followed which protect the rights of all affected parties, especially women and unborn children.

27) Islam and the Nation "of Islam" are two different religions. Islam is a religion for all races and enjoins the worship of the One Unseen God who never took human form. On the other hand "the Nation" is a movement geared towards non-whites that teaches God appeared as a man named Fard Muhammad and that Elijah Muhammad was a prophet. According to orthodox Islam these are blasphemous beliefs that contradict the basic theology defined throughout the Qur'an and other authentic texts. The followers of "the Nation" adhere to some Islamic principles that are mixed with other practices and beliefs completely alien to authentic Islamic teachings. To better understand the differences read about Malcolm X, his pilgrimage to Mecca and his subsequent comments to the media. Islam teaches equality amongst the races (Qur'an 49:13).

28) All Muslims are not Arab, Middle-Eastern or of African descent. Islam is a universal religion and way of life that includes followers from all races. There are Muslims in and from virtually every country in the world. Arabs only constitute about 20% of Muslims worldwide. The country today with the largest Muslim population is not located in the Middle East. It is Indonesia with over 200 million Muslims. India ranks second with 175 million.

29) In the five daily prayers Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is a cube-shaped stone structure that was built by Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael on the same foundations where Prophet Adam is believed to have built a sanctuary for the worship of the One God. Muslims do not worship the Kaaba. It serves as a focal point for Muslims around the world, unifying them in worship and symbolizing their common belief, spiritual focus and direction. Interestingly the inside of the Kaaba is empty.

30) The hajj is an annual pilgrimage to the Kaaba made by about 3 million Muslims from all corners of the Earth. It is performed to fulfill one of the pillars of Islam. The rituals of hajj commemorate the struggles of Abraham, his wife Hagar and their son Ishmael in surrendering their wills to God.

Can u please explain some things about Islam, I shall put my questions beneath each fact.

personal59:
1) "Islam" means "surrender" or "submission". "Salam" (which means "peace"wink is the root word of "Islam". In a religious context the word "Islam" means "the surrendering of one's will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace".

**You say without compulsion, your prophet will disagree with you. Why does the quran say ; ...then KILL the polytheists wherever you find them , and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush, but if they repent and perform the prayer and pay religious tax, then leave their way free..quran 9:5, sounds like complusion to me.
And quran 9:29 which says "FIGHT those who do not believe in allah." more compulsion. Infact there are many more like this but I am sure if u are a Koran reading Muslim you will know. Pls explain

**Many scholars and historians actually believe that Islam is a break away sect (cult) from Christianity that deny the divinity of Jesus. Just like the jehova withness, Mormons etc; infact some think Mohammed got his ideas from some 7th century apostates of Christianity, have u heard abt the Gospel of st Thomas. They forged that.; and Yeah their are about 1.2 - 1.5 billion Muslims. MOST Muslims are born into Islam and are threatened with death if they become apostate ( leave Islam), so they stay and endure until they can escape. Over 6million Muslims leave Islam every year in the middle east . Why is that and why are apostates KILLED in Islam.

6) Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, economical, etc.

**Are u serious ??
Please how old was Aisha when she got married to the prophet and how old was she when the marriage was consummated. She was married to him at 6 years and according to authentic haddith sources he had sex with her at 9years. Please is this moral.

7) Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. To become Muslim, a person of any race or culture must say a simple statement, the shahadah, that bears witness to the belief in the One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God.

**For sometime now moslems keep saying Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world but I like how honest you are here by
Saying its "one" of the fastest growing religions. Christianity is still the fastest growing religion, infact china will have more Christians than American in 10years time , that's a whooping 200million plus according to the respected pew research group. China is officially an atheist country but the truth can't be subdued for long. I would like ask why do u try to sell Islam as "one" of the fastest growing religion when Infact the growth has come from exponential births, u know, 1 man 4 wives 18 children etc. And yet new research shows Islam is in decline, especially in north Africa.

cool "Allah" is an Arabic word that means "God". Muslims also believe that "Allah" is the personal name of God.

**Actually that was the name given to the moon God, you knw, the one who is the father of al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat,. Have u heard of the satanic verses when Mohammed said that they
"....are the exalted cranes Whose intercession is to be hoped for." (Surah 53:19-22)
Opps..so my question is how are u sure allah truly is God especially since Mohammed's father was called abdullah which means slave of allah when he was still a pagan. please answer cos I need to know more about your religion incase if I am wrong.

**Why is God true name not mentioned once in the Koran, YWVH, why isn't it. If u are told that the people of the book got the message first. Why does the pagan name remain.

**Your Koran says God is loving, merciful and compassionate and yet your Koran says that God is father to NO one. That you moslems are all slaves to allah. How do you reconcile this, especially the passages in the Koran that says you should slay the pagans, fight the Christians and moslems, fight the disbelievers, kill them, stone the adulteress (infact killing is so common to Islam that people associate stoning and beheadings to Islam subconsciously)

**It is alien to Islam because Islam came to deny people that free gift of atonement through Christ. However please answer me this why does your Koran (or haddith, I forget which one) say that on the last day some Muslims will come with sins heaped like mountains and it shall be put on the back of Christians and Jews. Why does your God have an irrational hatred for Christians and Gods (YVWH) own people the Jews.

14) Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him. Muslims solely worship the Unseen and Omniscient Creator, Allah.

**But why do u always say PBUH so much everytime like its mind control. Nothing like this is in Jewish and christain scripture that your Koran affirms as Gods words also.

**Do you see the paradox here. What u claim here is that your god could not preserve his own words in the injeel/bible (600 years after Jesus). And u expect the Koran to be preserved 1400years after Mohammed. This defies common sense. Please explain.

16) The Qur'an was not authored by Muhammad. It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.

**Have u read the haddiths about his experiences when "Gabriel" revealed the Koran to him. In christain eyes , that is clear demonic possession. Please explain to me why he was depressed and wanted to jump off a cliff according to authentic haddits.

17) The original Arabic text of the Qur'an contains no flaws or contradictions, and has not been altered since its revelation.

**A lot of scholars will disagree with you. How can you be so sure when some haddits contradict this statement. Aisha reported that some were lost.

**Yes its still part of the mind control. Instead of contributing to the sciences, arts and expanding our knowledge people including children are compelled to spend hundreds of hours reciting 7th century classical Arabic that they little undertand.

**This is laughable. When u say no complusion of religion I wonder if you don't knw about other passages asking you to fight the unbelievers till they recite the shahadda or if you are just using Taqiyya on the ignorant.
However u are correct about the jizyah, it is better known as extortion money. Don't you think this tax is morally wrong.?

21) Terrorism, unjustified violence and the killing of non-combatant civilians (or even intimidating, threatening or injuring them) are all absolutely forbidden in Islam. Islam is a way of life that is meant to bring peace to a society whether its people are Muslim or not. The extreme actions of those who claim to be Muslim may be a result of their ignorance, frustration, uncontrolled anger or political (not religious) ambitions. Anyone who condones or commits an act of terrorism in the name of Islam is simply not following Islam and is, in fact, violating its very tenets. Extremism and fanaticism are problems not exclusive to Muslims. Anyone who thinks that all Muslims are terrorists should remember that the former boxer Muhammad Ali, perhaps the most celebrated person of our era, is a practicing Muslim.

***So because Ali the boxer is a moslem therefore everyone should be. I guess you are saying we should copy the musicians that have sold their souls as well or maybe BILL gates the atheist and mark the Facebook guy , an atheist as well... We all want to be billionaires right??.. Is that what u are saying??. And Yes no religion has a monopoly on violence but the numbers in Islam is so so so much higher, hamas, hezbollah, ISIS ,alqeda, boko haram etc and of course Muslim on Muslim conflicts; sunnis murdering ahmedias, shites etc. So much blood spilling by Muslims, how do u reconcile this with Islam being peaceful.

***Tell this to the jihadist in Sydney holding 50 people hostage in a cafe as we speak.
How do you believe these your "facts" please,

23) Women are not oppressed in Islam. Any Muslim man that oppresses a woman is not following Islam. Among the many teachings of Muhammad that protected the rights and dignity of women is his saying, "...the best among you are those who treat their wives well."

***But what about the passage that says you should beat you wife into submission if you fear rebillion from her (quran 4 :34)

24) Islam grants women many rights in the home and in society. Among them are the right to earn money, to financial support, to own property, to an education, to an inheritance, to being treated kindly, to vote, to a bridal gift, to keep their maiden name, to worship in a mosque, to a divorce, and so on.

***Please tell this to the Taliban, government of Iran, wahabis , governments of pakistain, afganistan and the Saudi Arabians (where mecca is) it is forbidden for women to even drive is Saudi Arabia. Don't you think they are hypocrites ?

25) Muslim women wear the head-covering (hijab) in fulfillment of God's decree to dress modestly. This type of modest dress has been worn by religious women throughout time such as traditional Catholic nuns, Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary.

****Did you ever see what the Virgin Mary wore. For sanity's sake u Muslims only allow the women show their eyes and they are covered head to toe in black in the middle east' s sun that is torture

***Under sharia u Can divorce your wife by saying "I divorce you" 3 times after which she has 6months to gain ur favor or she gets thrown out. Please how is this fair?

***You are correct abt the nation of Islam. They are pathetic. However Islam does not teach equality. If it teaches equality why is it that only the christains and Jews are taxed the jizyah, why is it that the prophet says the woman is half as intelligent as the man. why are moslems commanded in quran 48:29 to "..be severe against the disbelievers and merciful among yourselves".. Please why?

29) In the five daily prayers Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is a cube-shaped stone structure that was built by Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael on the same foundations where Prophet Adam is believed to have built a sanctuary for the worship of the One God. Muslims do not worship the Kaaba. It serves as a focal point for Muslims around the world, unifying them in worship and symbolizing their common belief, spiritual focus and direction. Interestingly the inside of the Kaaba is empty.

***Do you knw that the kaaba was an idol temple and that the ONLY person that says that it was where Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael and coincidentally where Adam built his sanctuary is Mohammed. Only Mohammed says this. And yes the kaaba is empty, as empty as Islam.

***Yes its a ritual, but why do moslems struggle to kiss the black stone, and stretch their hands to it.. You do knw these were pagan practises,??

Please read your sources, haddits,Koran and see the contradictions between what u say and what ur prophet said

My problem with write ups like this is that they cherry pick the good side, and the most important FACT out of the FACTS is missing and that is.

How did ISLAM start?

Just in case you forgot, so let me remind you. There was an Egyptian slave named Hagar who bore Abraham a son outside wedlock called Ishmael and the rest, you know is history.

You know the definition of a person born outside wedlock right?

Only if Abraham had used the WITHDRAWAL method, or even used a condom if it was existing then, we would have no Boko Haram, ISIS, AL-QAIDA and all those fancy crazy names these guys have this days. Islam is a peaceful religion, but the anger in them is something that has puzzled a lot of people.

One of them today in Austrialia just got killed, trying to kill 17 people in an hostage take, while holding a sign from the window that says there is only one Allah. As if anybody was doubting that.

**wow so he is dead already. U don't need to be puzzled abt the anger in true moslems.
These moderate Muslims keep telling us Islam is peaceful but the early 7th 8th and 9th century Muslims will be ashamed of these moderates. Have they asked themselves why if u practise Islam in its every instruction you become an extremist. Even Muslim countries are afraid to implement sharia to its fullest. Please Muslims pray to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob to open your eyes to the truth an not the god of the kaaba.

Please Muslims Go and read your Koran and hadiths in 21st century English and not 7th century classical Arabic if you want to understand why we have isis , bokoharam, alqaeda, hamas, hezbolla, etc ,and why a moslem jihadist just died in Sydney and taking the lives of 2 innocent people in the process.
He is promised 72 virgins in paradise and perpetual erections for intercourse and wine (I hope u knw wine isn't allowed in this life but it is allowed in the next for Muslims), read your sources and authentic hadiths.

Yes they constantly need to remind us it is peaceful while they keep killing people left right and Center.. Persecuting christains and Jews in the middle east and murdering atheists and apostates.
Turn on the news, the Taliban (extremist moslems) just killed over 110 people , mostly children at a school TODAY, Boko haram has killed hundreds this week. Moslems even hate each other.. Sunnis murder shites and ahmedies all the time..
it all blood blood , they love the sword that's why you see it in their paintings, decorations , flags, books all the time.

The Goodnews is that a lot of people are leaving Islam each year(especially in north and sub-Saharan Africa ) as the true God sets them free. Case in point, the Muslim brotherhood which was kicked out of Egypt recently. The overwhelming majority including moderate Muslims said NO to isalmists ruling over them..

You do know that Abraham (pbuh) is the beloved friend of God, I hope. Why then do you blaspheme him and his progeny? He, Abraham, (pbuh) was a firm believer and was never among the idolators. May Allah guide you, amin

ayinba1(f) why are u more concerned about this irrelevant point, as explicit as lafflaff123 may have been in explaining the alleged origins of Islam by Abram's seed, lafflaff123 is correct to say that so much suffering in this world is because of Islam.
Why did u not make issue with lafflaff123's point about the terror groups of Islam and the hostage situation in Sydney.
Please study about the origins of Islam, why the association with the moon, study islams pagan origins. Why argue about trivial things and avoid the main issues.

You missed the point or I assumed wrong. Abraham (pbuh) was a muslim. He practiced Islam, so did Moses, Job, Solomon, Jesus and all the other prophets of God (peace of God be upon them all). My post was therefore very relevant. I was hoping to motivate you to step back and find out information for yourself.

Can you give me the part of the Koran and or the Bible Verse that said those aforementioned names are Muslims?

I didn't miss the point. I just observed how u took issue with an irrelevant matter and didn't address the main issue of Islam.

U say Abraham was a Muslim. I don't even want to argue with you on that because this is what you have been led to believe. There was nothing called Islam until it was invented by an Arabian man in the 7th century at mecca. He was probably a very intelligent man and his ideology (Islam) was subsequently used to conquer most of the middle east.
However, did you know he had no male children, would a "loving" god deny his prophet an heir to carryout his works, do you know how he really died. Do you know he was once bewitched at a point according to your sources, do you know why you have to keep on saying PBUH after saying his name, do you knw he said women have half the intelligence of a man (something you can never hear in the true word of God, the Bible). Do you knw what women are to expect in paradise.. Have you read your sources (authentic hadiths, commentaries etc ).

However, back to Abraham, Don't you think the Jews, the legal and true descendants of Abraham would have agreed with ur prophet if he was right. But they laughed at his claims because they knew better.

Visit the site www(dot)answeringmuslims(dot)com; to learn more about your religion. The parts your imam and sheik won't tell you.

You shall learn about the origins of the sufferings of women in Islam,
The beheadings,
The abrogations of revelations,
And I ask you this, why would you be in a religion that kills those who leave it. Why are u not allowed to question Islam.

Pray to the true God of Abraham Issac and Jacob to lead you to the truth.

The Qur’an states Muhammad was the first Muslim. ( Surah 6:163). However, it also that Abraham who lived centuries before Muhammad was a Muslim. ( Surah 3:67). And The Qur’an states that the disciples of Jesus who lived before Muhammad were also Muslims. ( Surah 5: 111). In fact, the Qur’an claims that all prophets, from the time of Abraham to Muhammad were Muslims. (Surah 22:78)
My question;
1. Since the quran say muhammed is the first muslim while at the same time declaring abraham and the rest who live hundred of years before the coming of muhammed to be a muslims,is this not a clear prove of contradiction?
2. How are you going to reconcile the Qur’an’s claim
that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the
Qur’an’s statement that the disciples of Jesus who
lived before him were Muslims?
3. Do you not agree that if Abraham was truly a
Muslim as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad
cannot be the first Muslim?
4. Do you not agree that if the disciples of Jesus were truly Muslims as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
5. Do you not agree that one or the other verse in the Qur’an is a lie?
6. Does this not clearly prove that the Qur’an contains a false statement in it?
Will the true Word of God contain an error in it?
7. As such, can you really trust the Qur’an as the Word of God?

Soo many question needed answer, the op say islam mean peace, surrender, does this not go against the freewill of God?adam and eve were giving a freewill which God did not interfere with, the word'' surrender'' seem's like a man who has ONE option to love God or die, but freewill has TWO option, love God or hate Him, it a choice which God will not interfere in it.

Wow, my brother in humanity I didn't even know about this, unfortunately I don't have a Koran nearby to confirm these, this is because I like to be sure before exposing faults in Islam. However, I am not surprised. The messages in the Koran contradicts themselves a lot. Atimes Muslim scholars call it abrogation. Can you imagine ?? They say their god changes his mind as it pleases Mohammed's situation,
This is one of the reasons you have moderate Muslims, I know some very nice moderate Muslims but they don't know the Koran and hadiths in depth. On the other hand, there are the extremist Muslims who understand the Koran a lot better and murder in islams name.

Muslims are not allowed to question the Koran and Mohammed, some scholars say it amounts to shirk (its an unforgivable sin). This is why those who don't question it remain trapped.

Allah and Muhammad discourage Muslims from asking questions. From Infancy Muslims are groomed to abstain from questioning the tenents of Islam.

Surah 5:101-102: “O ye who believe! Ask not
questions about things which if made plain to
you, may cause you trouble …Some people
before you did ask such questions, and on that
account lost their faith.” (Yusuf Ali)

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet was asked about
things which he did not like, but when the
questioners insisted, the Prophet got angry.

I love it when people backup their statements with references. Nicely Done.
The pagan origins is so clear,
Moslems also claim amnesia to the satanic verses. When facing resistance from the polytheistic Quraysh tribe Muhammad appears to have wavered in his monotheism. At one stage he commanded his followers to offer prayers to 'Allah's three daughters' – al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat, each of which had a shrine near Mecca.
"These are the exalted cranes Whose intercession is to be hoped for." (Surah 53:19-22)

All evidence points to Islam as false. Jesus warned us about false prophets (he told us by their fruit you shall know them, please Muslims look at the fruits of Islam), he foretold the persecution of his followers and the bible (in John ) warns us about the anti Christ. For they shall deny the father and the son, Islam denies that Jesus is the son of God the father. They deny he was crucified, died and resurrected. Their claim is that their god deceived people to think he was crucified.

@malvis and ifean, I understand your dilemma because you are bound to continue this way if you persist in following websites and sources that have a single goal of turning you away from the truth of Islam. I am only to invite you because it would be ridiculous for me to find information about Christianity from an atheist website. When you are ready, please get a copy of the Quran and find out About Islam from people like Yusuf Estes, Nouman Ali khan and mufti menk. It will broaden your horizon. I wish you well.
@lafflaff, please be patient with me, I do not know the verses off hand and do not wish to misquote anything but I saw your question, it's a good one
