we have not really invested for sometime & it has burst in our face after the center left. the investments will be heavy for some time as well before we balance scales + the money is laying there somewhere so... if Bale is available, kaiiiiiiii damburuba - that guy alone can conjure at least 15 points every season in this EPL he already knows inside out!
I still see van Gaal spending about £150m more between now & the summer window with Fletcher, Anderson, Cleverley, Hernandez, Zaha, Evans expected to leave permanently.

Alright! Cool. I just thought that our attack is okay and that we should rather invest heavily in the defence and maybe midfield. But if Bale is necessary,so be it.

first van Gaal should ditch that 3-5-2. we still need pace & directness up front to finish teams off like we had in Ronaldo, Park, Tevez, Rooney, Nani of the glorious era.
Rooney's pace is no longer exactly bursting, only di Maria offers raw pace & trickery going forward for us & I don't think only he is enough.

young and Valencia are now understudies to Rafa and shaw as far as I:m concerned.

They are squad players at best.


Januzaj is a loan move away from the required maturity and having nani as back up to both isn't a bad idea.

I reiterate; Both have to be considered. We are looking to slash our wage bill so as to accommodate the right players in positions where we just to to fill. Why on earth should we think of adding another potential 250k/week(if we are to offer him a 4 year contract, that's a whopping 48m in wages) luxurious signing that can be done without at the moment?

Within the past 12months, we have spent nothing less than 200m on transfers, yet the team is very unbalanced- a fact the coach attests to. Even if they are milking the club,It isn't as if they haven't been providing us with money. We should concern ourselves with the pressing issues that need to be addressed. Jumping at the chance to sign every messi, aguero and Ronaldo available so as to curtail the glaziers from "wasting"our money isn't the way forward.

I don't think the potential acquisition of Bale would stop us from getting one defender and one midfielder to balance the team.

At least we can sell some players to recoup some of the money.
