The Generators being sold in USA with 120v/240v 60Hz, will they work in Nigeria, as I have never seen any of them with 50Hz listed on it.
Why will it work or not work? if it will work, will there be any modification required to make them work?. Thanks.

Sir, in Nigeria our voltage is 240V AC supply with a frequency of 50Hz, bringing in 220V 60Hz generator may not work for the nigeria equipment and electronics because most of Electronics equipment in Nigeria is rated 240V 50Hz.

Even with frequency of 51Hz, the sensitive equipment we have in Nigeria will have problem.
The difference is the output frequency (1 Hz is 1 cycle per second, 50 Hz is 50 cycles for Nigeria, 60 Hz is 60 cycles per second and is most common in the US). Typically, most loads have a frequency range they are compatible with and it is very rare to see that range span from 50-60 Hz.

Thank you.. I actually quoted the Volts wrong it should be 220/240V, I am only worried about the Hertz as of 60Hz vs 50Hz.
But thank you for your professional information.. Many are bringing it home and I was inquisitive of how it worked.
