woohooo, it's been weeks since my last update. Thank God for me o, I got an assistantship last week and i have since moved into an apartment that I am sharing with a fellow nigerian. I wont lie it took a while for me to adjust to the idea of assignments and online quizzes for every class but I've been settling in quite nicely.

Hi everybody, a friend of mine got her visa approved on Monday last week and was asked to pick up her passport on Thursday. She got there but was told her passport is still with the consulate. She's been calling and checking online, but the status remains "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate". Another website says "Administrative hold". The call center guys are not revealing any information as to what the issue is. I will like to know if she can walk into the consulate to speak with someone directly. If this is possible, what does she need to do to be able to walk in?

No stress. Since she wasn't placed on admin processing before. She should calm down. She should check back at DHL tommorow I didn't get my passport the said Thursday. Even after I collected my passport, it still say admin processing on my status.

Yes she can. She should call her school nw and get a letter for extension, they will prolly give her one week extension

Check each of the school review online & moreover most institute of tech are usually sound & competitive. I don't know much about Msc funding but you could ask from @slimmy05@zeezah@bigFrancis@MsNas.
P.S Did you write GRE? What's your score?

It might not be a case of Nursing isn't a STEM course, but that they already have lots of people studying nursing and need more prople to study the other courses i.e. supply and demand.

Her passport issues are confidential with the US embassy and they won't be revealing any information to her no matter how many times she calls. I guess it's under administrative review and necessary background checks of which the results are not yet ready. All she can do at this point is wait. Her passport will definitely be ready but is being delayed due to some reason. She should just be patient. I've seen several cases like this before. A friend of mine currently in the US had his passport delayed by an extra 1 week. Whenever it is ready, they will email her to go pick it up.

PS" I just saw your comment about her school resuming on Jan 26th which is 5 days away, she has to email them right away, if she hasn't already, informing them of her near-resumption date. That way she'd let them know her school resumes soon and that will speed things up.
