Cord blood is a sample of blood taken from a newborn baby's umbilical cord. Traditionally, i think the best way to dispose it is to bury it. However, there might have been some modern techniques used which i actually don't have the idea.
Probably the hospital in which your wife will have her baby being delivered would tell you what best method to use, or you can as well consult your family doctor for advice if you have one !

In my health centre the pit is close to the quarters. So they don't always do a proper health check before digging that pit!!!

Could this burning issue be an African thing? How do they dispose theirs in the Western World? So many spiritual interpretations to it.
