Post the video for us to see
.

http://www.chathamhouse.org/event/nigerias-security-insurgency-elections-and-coordinating-responses-multiple-threats

Video. At 55:00 minutes "we have a lot of COWARDS. Nobody is forcing them to join the army if they dont want. How can soldiers complain that they are poorly equipped if they lost so much equipment (including artillery pieces) to Boko Haram"

grin grin grin grin grin grin

Now get on your knees and apologise you small boy. Your soldiers are cowards. Would rather run away than fight Boko Haram. Message straight from the top of your very own government. Case closed.

The GBADS is a project.

2017 is date when various SA companies led by Rheinmetall will finish upgrading the Oerlikon twin barrel guns including supplying C2 and sensor systems

Firstly the SA army received C2 systems of the GBADS. Followed by the Starstreak missiles: 8 LML launchers and an unknown numbers of the MANPADS version.

Only the Thales squire for project Cytoon are ground search radars.

The SAAF mobile radars have range of more than 500km.

The Nigerian military is a rebel force nowhere close to the SANDF.

I beleive the BBC and all other major networks (including Russia Today and Al-Jazeera) over your propaganda government
i guess you will believe them when they spew trash that aint real about your country bah rubbish..
hoped you watched will ross report on the baga incident..dude admitted that the NA is really doing a heck of a good job that rarely reported except for occassional flaws..
he admmited that the distance and land mass of the AOR of the 7 div is daunting wondering how the ISIL style advance has not been recorded by the rag tags..
most importantly he travelled form maiduguri to lake tchad area od dumguri village and it took him 15 hours inside a state...after meeting with dispaced IDP and listening to their stories in a calm state he reported and i quote
"the figure of more than 2,000 killed in baga from all account is grossly over rated and exaggerated, however the fight is tough and is a job that must be done.."
trust BBC they only aired the report once and kicked it into their archive obviously it didnt conform to their interests and didnt give the he-diots the stories they wanted..

GBADS=Ground based air defence system.

After the SHORAD(Umkhonto IR-ER)

The SANDF will receive the medium range Umkhonto-R.

Nigeria will receive Akash SAM with advanced integrated air defence systems with mobile air search radars.

Equation Balanced, not only you will buy things.

Meanwhile as at today 2015, the ONLY air defence missile in South African military service is the useless 1km max ceiling hand held Starstreak toy missile that Togolese air force will destroy with Alpha jets

Nigeria will buy Akash SAM systems ! See the photos of what we will be getting ! Awesome 35km range !

Even with the Akash which I'm 100% sure you won't get Nigeria will still have a weak air defence. As you buy weapons off-the-shelf.

The Starstreak is part of the GBADS. Which have radars, guns, VSHORAD and soon SHORADS.

You seem to forget that Denel itself is government owned and they have a responsibility to design GBADS for SANDF which has already been paid/budgeted for as an SANDF project guardian. So, we have it already once the production is done. If it is under the projects, we trust.

You don't pay for tenders, you pay for contracts, you have CRAM tender NOT contract, all new purchases for SANDF have been suspended.
No money !

Mokopa missile was developed locally but SANDF could not afford to buy it.

Only Nigeria has money to buy new weapons http://www.worldbulletin.net/news/150158/nigeria-to-buy-russian-fighter-jets

You are all cowards. End of story

Nigeria has one of the worst militarys in the world, poorly trained, equipped, led and motivated

They have been defeated multiple times by men on pickup trucks

They have to buy their own unfiroms, medical supplies and equipment

What a trash army, for a trashy failed state

Augustus - that link is from a forum and the link they provide has a 404 error message

So as usual, you are not getting what you claim.

Starstreak VSHORAD is not designed as a strategic air defence asset, its a tactical asset. Its one layer of defence in our overall defensive system.

And, how will an Alpha jet effectivly engage ground targets from a ceiling of 1km without PGM's?

Yet again, you fail abysmally.

We have mobile radar systems - you do not
We are nearing the completion of the most advanced GBADS system in Africa
You dont have a GBADS system at all

Who said SANDF is broke?

SANDF just put out tenders for 8 frigate sized OPV's, began production of the Badger and A-Darter

And the Defence Reveiw is nearly passed - then we will be spending $9 Billion on asset aquisitions

And no, your countrys finances are collapsing now that the Oil price has bottomed out
