"Some drones and other sophisticated equipment have been deployed in the Northeast to curtail Boko Haram’s insurgency, The Nation learnt yesterday.

The acquisition of the drones is part of the new massive Nigerian military campaign to be launched soon against Boko Haram.

The source said the arrival of the hardware has boosted the morale of troops.

The source said: “The Nigerian military has deployed some drones and sophisticated hardware in the North-East in line with its timeline to end Boko Haram insurgency.

These drones will complement ongoing air and land strikes against some bases of the sect.

The simultaneous attacks on Monguno, Konduga and Maiduguri by Boko Haram insurgents were pre-emptive steps against the military by the sect.

With effective equipment, the insurgents were aware that the game is up and in annoyance, they decided to attack military installations and troops."

Beware of China, it will suck your blood dry. If you want the most effective and efficient stealth drones just come to SA and place your order. We are very honest at making business, but please don't try to come at the back door like you did in the past.

The original cannon is manual, it never fires by itself, and never killed it's owner in world history as it never fires by itself.

DENEL is NOT an army.

DENEL is NOT = SANDF.

Same way DICON is NOT = Nigerian army.

No equipment inside a manufacturing company's warehouse is counted by military ranking sources as army arsenal equipment.

Only what you buy and pay for and put in arsenal somewhere is counted by sources like Global Firepower, Global Security, etc. No military source goes inside commercial manufacturing companies and count weapons in the laboratory or warehouse and add it to a nations army orbat arsenal, or else the USA, Russia, UK, China will have much more than what is listed for their military on Global Firepower rankings, there are hundreds of new weapons worldwide that Super Powers have developed in defence industries but not yet entered service in their armed forces arsenal.

All SANDF has is the catapult launched unarmed simple Vulture drone with 200 km range, Nigeria is far superior to you with our CH-3 drone with 2,400 km range plus 10km range guided missiles and 5km range guided bombs. SANDF is 20 years far behind NAF drone capability !

http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/article/sandf-to-receive-first-unmanned-air-vehicle-later-this-year-2004-03-26

SANDF has NO armed drone.....okay show me one armed drone in SANDF use with your soldiers tongue tongue
.

Denel is owned by the state

SANDF is run by the state

During the border war experimental Armscore (Denel) weapons were used in multiple battles - long before they entered SADF service

And no, you dont have said drone - one crashed in a country inhabited by black people. That is all the photographs show us.

Nigerian Army Trains Current South African Officers In COIN war combat !

Jaji (Kaduna), NIGERIA - A total of 103 counter insurgency operatives from Nigeria and nine other African countries have concluded a four-week intensive training on internal security.

Graduation of Basic Counter-Terrorism Course for soldiers of the 70th Regular intake in Jaji

The training, which was held at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State, drew participants from 11 agencies and organisations, as well as Senior Course 36 of the college. Other participants were from South Africa ,Togo, Cameroon, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ghana.

The Commandant of the college, Air Vice Marshal John Ifemije, said on Friday at the close of the training that it was meant to enhance the preparedness of the personnel in confronting internal security challenges. He noted that "dealing with complex security challenges these days goes beyond the conventional techniques.

Ifemije urged the participants to use the knowledge gained from the training to strengthen inter agency cooperation, share information and intelligence, adhere to rules of engagement and to seek for the intervention of the military whenever necessary. The commandant commended them on their conduct throughout the exercise and urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities.

Earlier, the Director, Department of Joint Studies of the college, Brig-Gen. Benjamin Ahanato said the training code named 'EX HASKE BIYU,' was the participants to value "joint consultation, sharing of information and freedom of action."

He described the training as "a huge success," and urged them to use the knowledge gained to ensure peace and stability in Nigeria.
