When the federal government withheld the funds for lagos because it was an opposition party state ,it helped lagos to look for alternatives and they generated internally funds over billions from millions before.Lagos and Rivers are the only viable states in Nigeria That can generate and pay salaries without federal government .Osun state is also coming up fast and in the future will generate more within. The federal government frustrated lagos power projects and starve lagos of electricity.

Ambode will complete the project. At least Fashola started it and has made considerable progress so far. Show me any Pdp state government that has even attempted to carry out such an audacious project.

History will remember Fashola kindly as one who gave his best to Lagos.

Your copout is an intellectually baseless one.
Numerous states of the federation have been embarking on ambitious social and infrastructural projects without half the fanfare, pageantry and noise that runs through the blood capillaries of the Lagos government.
Let it be known, that even choosing not to cast population density aside, Lagos is still nowhere close to Akwa Ibom in the area of infrastructural projects, scale, delivery and professionalism. Give Fashola a state like Enugu with its meagre allocation, and watch him make a bumbling dunce of himself.
You think Nigeria begins and ends in Lagos?
Look brother, the fact that you have been brainwashed by the propagandist media cacophony of idiocy that is so rife in Lagos, does NOT mean it represents the reality on ground.

Buhari cancelled such project before, we must not allow him to get that power to cancell this one too...

Fashola, since you publicly made it known to Lagosian that you have disappointed them, give way to Jimi to complete it.

APC must be rejected!

FASHOLA IS AN IDIO.T. THE SAME FEDERAL GOVT HE'S ALWAYS BAD-MOUTHING - NEVER HAS A GOOD WORD TO SAY ABOUT - IS THE SAME FEDERAL GOVT HE EXPECTS TO BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO SUPPORT HIS PROJECTS. WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS?
Keep your voice down. The man doesn't even know if your lineage exists, let alone your family, let alone you. He can't hear you even if you screamed through a bull horn.

Nothing in the constitution says one cannot criticise the FG or any state government for that matter. For you to justify the FG's non-involvement because the governor "bad-mouthed" the president shows what a petty thing you are.

He asked the useless Abuja people a million times to yield for the red line, but the useless people refused to grant the right off way.

Rightfully said by the governor, governments all over the world support such projects with grants, loans and matching funds.

this is the real lagos below

While I'm a great supporter of Fashola, I think he made a miscalculation by starting what he can't complete.... Planning requires starting something with the assurance that it would be completed with projected funds somewhere....

He can't blame the Federal government because there was no agreement between him and the FG to start it in the first place, so his excuses are grossly unfair!!

The money used to start this project could have gone elsewhere like improving hospitals or even building more power plants.....

I still like him, he did his best and I hope his successor continues from where he left... I will vote APC and I hope Ambode wins...

Reading...

Fashola has made an admission, even though it might have been obvious the project can't be completed within his tenure. That is what leaders do. It is called honesty and is a sign of trustworthiness.

I double dare Jonathan to admit the second Niger Bridge cannot be completed before the next general election!! He once boasted "if I don't complete the Bridge before 2015, I will go on self exhile".
This is part of the reason why APC will loose Lagos. I pity Amode!

Truth be told Lagos doesn't need FG's help for nothing it wants to do. I bet if they'd completed the rail it would have been "toll'd". With all the taxes collected by Lagos I'm ashamed. The federal roads are still better than th state roads Fashola is just a scam.

You should know that Lagos state generates it's funds for projects by itself without the FG giving them their entitlement(allocation).
But still, Fashola's performance as Lagos State Gov is excellent.
So you should know that he is not begging the FG cos he has don an excellent job even without it.

No government can finished all it projects.

Just look at the vitriol oozing out his gub, yet these are the same people calling for "a younger Fashola instead of grandpa Buhari". One can only imagine the things they would have said about the governor had he emerged the flag bearer of APC.

Degenerate hypocrites.

It is you that is the hypocrite! I've seen you in this space call the president unprintable names times without number that made me to wonder if you actually came from a home. Now somebody is serving your paymaster the same dessert you so happily serve the president on a regularly basis, and you have the audacity to complain about his choice of words. Man you are very pathetic!

Abeg remove the name Badagry there o. We were never part of Lagos since Tinubus regime. They have almost stolen all our lands, killed some of our historical sites and have done absolutely nothing for us here.
They even stole our peoples mandate when PDP won landslide last LG election. We are silently waiting for them in two and 3 eweeks time. Useless sets of unrepentants kleptomaniacs
