Badger CAN swim. Option for amphibious crossing is on the vehicle. Nothing major to change. Since SANDF has no major requirement for amphibious crossing (no big lakes in SA) it is not a major design point.

Nope, Badger can NOT swim for SANDF, @andrewza says amphibious capability has been deleted from specs, or you will call him a big time SANDF navy officer fraudster? grin grin

You've brought your entire arsenal against BH, but during open engagements your army units crumble easily.

Even if your army was to launch an operation to capture a certain town, BH will pull back and capture another one like after. the capture of Kundunga.

Your military has heavy feet.

Kodunga is in Army hands as the last attempt was repelled with serious casualties against BH including Chadians. No, not all the arsenal has been deployed because the army has multiple duties and operations all over Nigeria.

Anyway, i am not saying anymore as you never know who is monitoring. Just watch as i have said. Have a good day.

The year somtjing is built does not make it modern or not modern.

At the beginning of this forum in 2010 to 2012, you Southies said all Nigerian weapons are old and not modern even when they have been upgraded, because SANDF purchased theirs in 2005 to 2010. Now you change story grin

America can fight alone, sit down 1,000 km away and use cruise missiles to wipe out an army like SANDF.

Can South Africa do that?

USA goes to war to help where other existing armies were failing like Korea, Vietnam. USA goes to war with UN mandate, reason they don't fight alone. No country ever dares to challenge USA alone.

SANDF fought alone once and lost to Seleka teenagers in 13 hours grin grin
.

fact remains that in the last 100 years America has fought no single war alone

And they had no UN mandate in GW2

How did Oliphant tank transform from RHA to Composite armour?

Tanks armour gets upgraded from RHA to ERA and composite....fool grin
.

In a massive factory. Not by army engineers.

ERA is not a upgrade. It a box that gets strapped on. Same has add on armour and slat armour. These are done in Mobil workshops. But a full upgrade of armour is done in a refit no a field workshop.

Badger project started in 1997....actually 18 years ago....

"May 26/13: Investigation? South Africa’s Times Live, “Military deal probe ‘waste of time'”:

“The public protector is believed to be investigating the 16-year delay in the project. Hoefyster was launched in 1997 locally and opened to international tenders in 2003. The vehicles are to arrive from next year, the last in 2023.”

The contract was issued in 2007. Defence Secretary Sam Gulube responds that he’s worried about the budget being insufficient."

Your maths is too poor for South Koreans to employ you in Hyundai tech grin grin
.

Project was frozen until 2007, when it was re-started under Army Vision 2020

The new generation infantry combat vehicle is meant to slot into the SA Army’s Vision 2020, announced earlier in 2007 by Chief of the SA Army, Lt-Gen. Solly Shoke.

Yes, BH pushed out of Kodunga and it captured another town.

All necessary arsenal deployed but there's no effect, real men have arrived to teach your military how.

RESCUE NIGERIA MIGHTY CHAD!!!!!

Chad is not facing Boko Haram inside Njdamena, any suicide bombing in Chad? Any Boko T-55 tank or Shilka AAA in Chad?

Chad faces only 0.001 % of Boko Haram. Cameroon say a little more and cried out for help.

The town Chad cleared of Bokos at border area, was done after NAF bombardment destroyed Boko Haram heavy equipment.

Only Nigeria can withstand Boko Haram in West Africa

You too prove the BTR-4 is not very modern as you claim.

SANDF has NO single Badger in service, you have DENEL test lab models.

By 2020 you will have nothing, no money, I just posted that above, cash problem delayed Badger for 18 years grin grin
.

I have proven that it is not as good as the Badger

Your report says nothing about cash problems - it just outlines a long term and well thought out project

The factory to build them opens in RSA this year - first ones enter service next year.

So by 2016 we will have the first batch.

that's because they can't capture. Chadian equipment.

They can't hold land to mass and launch bigger ops in Chad.

BH is Nigerian group that captured massive equipment from your army and start being a problem for even your neighbours.

Chad is totally stopping them!!!

The production facility is already there.

Production might start this year, if qualification for the other vehicles is finished ahead of time.

What is the range of SANDF R-4 rifle ? 1,000m ?

if the need arises armor can be removed and props fitted.

Note that they left the prow plate on the front of the vehicle (it pushes up a wave that keeps the nose of the vehical from diving under the water in choppy conditions)

Nigeria can fit BRV radar and BVR missiles on F-7 jet if need arises. We can also fit ATGM on Cobra APCs if need arises.

Not only you can adjust weapons in war. Fool grin

Boko-haram captured no town.

They were decimated in maiduguiri, konduga, troops withdrew from monguno, counter-attacked, and completely demolished the terrorists in mongonu.

In michika, troops destroyed the terrorists again, magadali operations are currently on-going.

The multinational joint task-force has been operating in the border areas for over 10 years. The contributing nations are Nigeria, chad and Niger. It was a joint operation, and nothing not previously seen.

#UPDATE

Madagali has been cleared.

Thats what im saying. Not a major design point. The option to go amphibious is on the vehicle, a radical design change wouldnt be needed. If SA was to conduct heavy operations in regions with a lot of still water.....the amphibious option can be resurrected at a sacrifice of armour.

Shut uup ! You were telling lies before, claiming Badger can swim. Thief !

You think it's easy to reconfigure Badger that has extra underfloor armour heavy weight like an MRAP to start swimming competition?

Such engineering needs massive work and re-work and testing for battle field functionality.

Nigeria too can add more armour to Cobra APC and add ATGM missiles, Cobra is modular.

SANDF is getting Badgers that CANNOT swim.....if you ever get them in service by 2020 grin grin
