Just bear the pain knowing that its not going to last forever.
I never take pain relievers or any drug at all because I don't want to hear stories that touch later in life.
If it gets too much you can use a hot water bottle on your stomach.
I used to have pains too but for some years now it has stopped.

Most times It is those thick ones trying to come out dat causes so much pain aside infection.if it's de former:
I avoid sugary food/food from day 1 to the last day, I also drinkwarm water early in the morning and then jog for 5 mins.
I nearly lost my life cos of dysmenorreah but since that 2003, I started doing these, no more pain.

But can using pain reliever especially mild ones like paracetamol/panadol once or twice in a month; approximately 12days out of 365days in a year caused any serious side effect on someone's life? Question for medical personnel in the house.

Thank God this thread made front page. I do so heavy to the extent that my first 3 days I never get to go anywhere and it sometimes turns to another sickness entirely. I want to learn to although I've not tried using drugs before. I just get frustrated and manage till it stops after 6 or sometimes 7 days.

@ OP, Stay away from sugary food a week or two to your menstrual cycle, eat bitter leaf from this period and also drink the juice. During your menstrual cycle drink alot of water!
exactly my opinion.

Please i need help and useful advice on how to handle menstrual pain without using drugs. I do experience a very painful period every month. The pain usually last up to 6hours or more on d first two days of my period. I use to take pain relief drugs like Ladinax and Ibuprofen but stopped using them since i got to know that they are harmful to health.

I want to know if there are natural ways dat i can subside the pain. Its really excruciating. Thank u all
my dear orthodox medicine like Ladinax and Ibuprofen will do u more harm than good.my advice for you is to eat food as medicine.try add Peruvian macca to ur diet, once u do dat ur problem is solved.hop dis wil help.

Three Words. LOTS OF ORANGES. My ex girlfriend suffered this. She took lots of oranges when she was close to her period and it became a thing of the past. Try it and remember to thank me later.

I have tried almost all the drugs here but I still experience terrible and embarrassing pains, felvin works for me if I start taking it days before but I stopped cos I heard it has side effects.

That last I tried is a Ghanian herbal bitters that only added to my pains and rendered me useless for two days. I need a solution to this too o

You said personal. Can't you see that it has got to a level where the lady can no longer handle it alone that is why she is making it public. So,don't blame her.Just tell her the solution.

Avoid sugar or anything with a sugary content just before it starts as well as during the period.
Re: Managing Menstrual Pains Without Drugs. by Rachie97: 8:57am On Feb 12, 2015
I will advice that you watch the level of your sugar intake generally. What we eat is a major contributor to it. Hot Lipton tea without sugar or milk works for me. Close your eyes to groundnut and all its siblings...

Try the Oranges. I tell you, it works. My ex case was bad. I repeat, thank me later. Just as you approached the Felvin, ie, days before your period. Try it with oranges.

Signing out of chicks thread.
