As much as I have been a neutral commentator on our coming general elections,I however find this picture which I just stumbled on, to be very controversial about the person of GMB.Pleases Nairalanders check it for yourself,as the fact always speaks for it self.

The donations were not from her as a person. She only mobilised the funds and items that were donated. Corporate organisations that I know made donations because she wrote to them that they were mobilising funds for charity works.

That said, I think the fact that they are using it to score political points for GMB campaign alone disgusts me. They deserve every bashing they get from the people. If only she had the courtesy to acknowledge the thousands of people that donated towards that gesture, there would nt have been this backlash.

When I read about her donation I wondered where she got the money from.

You didn't wonder enough, it's very easy. One, i don't think Buhari didn't have 27 million but rather that he could not afford 27 million for a nomination form. Those are two different things. Number two, haven won the primaries, you become exposed to a lot of support. It's almost like becoming a king or leader or even a job. An employed person can more likely source for funds than an unemployed. If you have been close to highly placed people, you will not wonder much the amount and kind of gifts they get. Buhari to millions is the next Nigerian President, and as he has been visiting States, governors, kings, emirs, officials and billionaires, he and his wife would be receiving gifts. Thirdly, the complete story is that the donation is on behalf of APC(women) and she's their women leader. There are many people in APC that can donate millions, hope that one is not wonder to you?

In another development, more than 800 children affected by Boko Haram insurgency in the northern parts of Adamawa have been placed under psycho-socio therapy by the state Universal Basic Education.

The Executive Chairman of ADSUBEB, Bello Furo, made this disclosure on Wednesday while speaking with journalists in Yola.

Furo stated that in order to rehabilitate the children traumatised by the insurgents, the agency engaged the service of psycho-socio consultants.

Over 20,000 children were rendered sent out of schools in the northern parts of the country by the Boko Haram insurgents.

Fura said, “It has started yielding positive result, though it will take time for them to get fully rehabilitated.

“Unfortunately, most of these children you meet today, some of their parents were slaughtered before their very eyes. They do not have anybody to cater for them, they have lost their parents as a result of the insurgency.

“These young children have been forced to leave their places, to flee their homes and become IDPs.”
