What can I say. It is not unexpected.I mean of course the conditions we usually catch a glimpse of her is after heavy make up for shows, photo shoots and public appearances.

The problem might not be the gas but the fact that she sprayed the insecticide,which is a highly flammable aerosol, close to an open flame. I suspect the aerosol canister was what probably exploded in her hands and not the gas cylinder. But then it takes a while for the canister to heat up, over pressurize and rupture under pressure. It is not instantaneous. People even use aerosol cans as flamethrowers for fun. Something is missing in the link.

I am suspecting she left the canister on the sink and maybe too close to the burner of the gas cooker after using it. It heated up and exploded while she was close by releasing heated aerosols which expands and burns at the same time. Remember also that the insecticides also have some oils added so they stick to the body of the insects. This would have increased the severity of her burns on her skin.

The gas cylinder would probably have caused more severe damage to them and the building. We need to also learn to keep fire extinguishers at home and learn basic fire fighting. It is just as important and learning basic first aid.

It is a rather unfortunate incident. I hope the man recovers soon. He will definitely be shocked by the news of his wife.
