What really happened?

The driver said that if you don't have change, don't get on the bus. I did and then he collected my fair so I could get change cause I didn't have. We left and after collecting every other persons money, he kept on announcing that one person is left that hasn't paid. The bros by me asked in that quiet bus where is my money, I just told him I have given the driver with all ears listening. The driver kept on asking till the woman beside me reminding him of the money he collected from me. Next thing, I was left alone and the driver was put in the line of fire. He apologised but then I had a good laugh and collected my change before I got off. It was embarrassing though.
