I so much thank GOD that it started from 1960-2005 so there is nothing linking GEJ with this new development from EFCC. And this is to tell u that those past leader against jonathan's administration are among the thieves that loot those money. e.g. OBJ, GMB etc.

The question is, why stopping at 2005.

Do you think many are as dumb?

By Ola Ajayi and Bukola Ifegbayi, Ibadan

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said about $20 trillion had been stolen from the treasury by leaders who had access to the nation’s money between 1960 and 2005.

The commission further said that as at year 2000, the record showed that $100 billion had been stolen with an external debt of $33 billion suggesting that paying off the nation’s external debt would have required only a fraction of the money stolen by the country’s leadership.

While quoting an earlier presentation by the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of the commission, the Director, Internal Affairs EFCC Mr. Wakili Mohammed who represented the Executive Chairman of the commission, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde added that as the country would elect new leaders in the 2015 elections, women should be vigilant and disallow people with shady backgrounds from getting into public office.

‎The anti-corruption agency said this yesterday in Ibadan at a one day sensitization workshop for Women Civil Society Groups.

The commission organised the programme in collaboration with the African Centre for Media and Information Literacy (AFRICMIL).
The workshop was hinged on “How women’s organisations can aid the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes”.

Wakili noted that power to liberate our nation from deep-rooted corruption lies in the hands of women knowing fully well that corruption remains the bane of the nation’s development which results in lower levels of spending on education, healthcare and other social services that affect women and children.

According to reports by the United Nations Development Fund for Women,UNIFEM, “women are more vulnerable to the impact of corruption than men. Women constitute larger percentage of the poor as they take primary resposibility for child care which makes them more reliant on public services and this makes corruption in public service delivery have huge impact on women”, he said.

The Head Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit,EFCC, Hajia Aisha Larai Musa emphasized that the Commission works in conjunction with the SSS, Nigerian army,Civil defence and Nigerian Immigration as crime can not be handled alone that all parastatals needed to be involved including organisations and schools.

Aisha stated that women anti-corruption initiatitive programme aimed at engaging women in the fight against corruption, financial and economic crimes, as women their is need to counsel our children.

In her own presentation, Dr. (Mrs.) Kemi Wale-Olaitan said, “corruption is not all about men but women inclusive” stating that sometimes women are forced to pay bribes, even more than money to get what they want.

She said women are also involved in corruption especially behind the scene,as women are getting involved in decision processes they should also be involved in combating crime

According to Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the bad image of Nigeria abroad gave birth to EFCC and the most effective way to reduce crime was to increase people’s perceptions that the cost of offence would exceed its reward adding that no individual was a biological or sociological criminal but “people deliberately commit crime and we can be responsible for the desired change as parents”.

Mrs. Osigwe Oyeronke a teacher who was a participant at the workshop advocated that women are the nation builders, agents of change and should be able to educate the populace on the need for integrity and transparency.

Well guess what, the reason for your creation makes no meaning to us. You are not functioning. Those who created you are bigger than you, so how can you get hold of those who created you? A pure waste of time. There are only 3,000 workers for Nafdac nationwide, 3,000 of them at EFCC, just 3,000. How can you curb the effect of corruption when you have just 3,000 persons working for your organisation? How can 3,000 persons be distributed within 36 states? And NAFDAC that claims they are into checking of drugs and whatsoever, what a pure waste of time. If 3,000 workers work for NAFDAC, how can we save the lives of those who use fake drugs, who buy expired products? And people are unemployed? Why not reduce top official salaries and introduce more people working for the organisation and this way lives can be saved. Be there giving us fake news. Telling us 20trillion has been stolen by our leaders, is your job not to point fingers? Then point at them, if you can't hunt them, we will do that for you. Assholes.

It seems you know less about your candidate. Buhari made it clear that if he wins (of course he will won in his next world), he would never probe any past leader or any past act of corruption. To me, Buhari is an epitome of incompetence even as he exhibits the highest level of cluelessness. WE HAVE MADE UP OUR MIND AGAINST BACKWARDNESS..... WE READY TO VOTE GEJ COME 28TH OF MARCH.

efcc is playing politics by truncating the years to 2005. the question is " has the corruption and embezzlement stopped since 2005"? the current efcc boss is the most useless chairman efcc have ever had since its inception. where is the $20 billion sanusi exposed? okay the forensic auditors has cut it down to almost $2.8 billion , where is the $2.8 billion dollars?

"Read before comment"
After reading it turns out that the news is useless and a means for EFCC to do its show of shame. What we need to hear is how many have been tried and convicted since the amendment of the Money Laundering Act of 2004. For an important agency such as EFCC to fail to start how much was stolen and recovered after the offenders were punished during its existence is disgraceful and unacceptable.
For Lamorde to inability to tell us how much was stolen since he assumed leadership of EFCC, how much was recovered after Farida and Ribadu is callous and on that I recommend that all well meaning Nigerians should ask for his removal.

You know what, I like this report because it itself is corruption supporting propaganda.

By the time Investigation is carried out on this current administration, they would have stolen $50trillion. More than what had been stolen from 1960 till date.

Pack of thieves.

"Prof. Osinbajo mentioned they'll generate 40,000 MW of electricity in 4 years, " something that's impossible, they had to ask him 3 times to be sure.

What is impossible about that? PDP has so conditioned the minds of some people such that they think we can't get a better deal from our leaders. All it will require is funds. Germany generated 4000MW of electricity from solar energy alone in a year. Please not that it was started and completed in a year. What we need is a similar type of approach (quick wins)with the projects spread across the country. These will be complemented by large power plants which will generate significantly higher power and take longer to construct.

20 trillion dollars!!!!!! Wow

We all know that Buhari was head of NNPC, but is not corrupt.

Was PTF chairman under Abacha where we are still returning the loot, but is not corrupt.

All I see is the Hausas and Yorubas trying to gain power by all means and shouting "Change " But if we observe closely we'll notice there is no change in them,

"Prof. Osinbajo mentioned they'll generate 40,000 MW of electricity in 4 years, " something that's impossible, they had to ask him 3 times to be sure.

They'll pay 25 million Nigerians 5 000 naira a month, thats 1.5 TRILLION NAIRA per annum.

Free school fees till tertiary level.

Free meals for primary school kids.

If you add all of this up, you'll see its total rubbish!

It's not achievable,

It's like saying a New born baby can fly an aircraft!

If Diezani can use 10bn to charter private jets, the president uses 50bn to maintain his fleet over 2-3yrs,and we pay 1.5trillion to oil subsidy scammers, why can we give each child one free meal a day in school? It is simply a matter of adjusting our priorities and the money will be going to farmers and suppliers of local produce. Why is that such a big crime to you. The poor are the majority in Nigeria and it is time government was about meeting their needs.

Do you see that we need change now more than ever before? Nigerians have so oppressed and traumatised even psychologically that little things that Nigeria can afford with the kind of revenue that it generates is now seen as impossible. Osinbajo is a Prof. Do you think that he just brought out a keg of ogogoro and started yarning in merriment? We cannot continue to suffer under the guise of democracy.
Abeg, think am wel and do your part by going to vote out people who think that corruption is not stealing. You are too enlightened and educated to be ruled by such people.

My friend how can I vote someone that cannot boast of WASC?
Someone that after 30 years since he was removed hasn't improved himself?

How can I vote for someone that will
"Stabilise crude oil price"?
"Make 1 dollar = 1 naira"
Doesn't know the full meaning of the party his party's acronym?
Called it "All Progressive Confidence " party on Aljazeera!!!

Yes Osinbajo is a Prof. Of Law! Not an engineer, engineers will tell u that's impossible.

If Osinbajo was running for the President of Nigeria @ this moment, he'll probably get my vote.

But not a 73 years old under educated man,
