Alphaoscar: Some PDP lawmakers today in the East could have been sympathetic to the APC but because of the difficult political terrain that they operated in, which was hostile to the APC, had to go with the PDP. |

I don't expect igbos to come up and begin to make issues as though Nigeria is about them, they are fond of ranting as ever. Since they have made the choice of where they belong, they don't want to have anything to do with Hausas and the Yorubas, I see no reason why they should be involved in the governance of the new administration, after all during Jonathan, the Yorubas were excluded and they took it in good fate. They should be satisfied with the ministerial position GMB with give to them. Beside the notion that igbos are third major leg in Nigeria is not correct as the last presidential election has helped to reveal that igbos has the least political value in Nigeria. We have six political region in Nigeria namely; NE,NW,NC,SW,SS,SE. Of all these six regions, the electoral scores from the South East was the least, it was so low that scores from just three states from the SS is even much more than that of the whole SE. So on the bases, igbos should just accept that they are the least significant region in Nigeria and they should stop boasting and making noise everywhere. 14 Likes 4 Shares |

Lesson learnt they still won't listen, so what's the point ? All apc hustle should now goes to igbos with that vital position ? With all they embezzle from gej can't they take their time to build a strong political leader ? I don't think that's possible for now nigeria is still in the league to find out who really love her 1 Like |

Ymodulus: They will never listen Their obstinacy is their everlasting bane When Tinubu saw the chance in aligning with another major ethnic group the North........he was derided, villified and harangued by political infants But i kept pointing out on this thread that Tinubu's strategy is a major master-stroke which developed out of careful studying of the few mistakes Pa Awolowo made and improving on it( Pa Awo felt he could rally the Minority groups with the SW and win elections but it never came to be because the SE through Zik had always aligned with the North that their children now hate and insult) And that was why Pa Awolowo never became the President It is the same mistake that present day Igbos and their leaders are doing.........The mistake is that There is no way 1 majority tribe(SE) which is in alliance with a minority tribe(SS) can ever beat 2 majority tribe(SW and North) The bigot Igbos were deceived into believing that NC or Middle Belterns will join them blindly into an alliance their elders would have told them can not work or would backfire.....hence 4 states out of NC voted alogside their Majority tribesmen while 2 barely voted for PDP 12 Likes 2 Shares |

It should Really stay in the Middlebelt, however this is of little significance to the average man as proved by the fact that my Idoma Uncle David Mark has had next to no impact on his senatorial zone in his tenure as SP. |

Sooroptimist1: When the camera was moved to his position immediately Buhari commended the Jagaban himself, Tinubu; Bisi Akande and John Oyegun, I saw Domingo laughing hard. He supported Buhari very well even his twitter handle can testify to that. What's bothering me now is that he didn't support the APC House of Reps Candidate for Akoko Edo Federal Constituency that much because he felt the guy betrayed him during the Primaries + he didn't do any tangible thing in Domingo's town (Igarra) coupled with the fact that the guy that contested against him is from Igarra. I don't know if he would be considered for any Ministerial Slot after doing this. I believe if he plays his game well, he might get it through Atiku and Tinubu's influence. But if he depends on Oshiomole for that, he might not get it! |

The Senate President must go to a member of APC It must go to long standing member of the Senate not a newbie So who fits this criteria in the SE? 4 Likes |

Sooroptimist1:The political intrigue(s) that led to Domingo Obende losing out of the Edo North Senatorial candidacy under the APC is yet untold. Rumour have it that he did nothing to improve the lot of the people while at the senate and that Oshiomole wanted an Etsako as senator this time around. The Binis also committed political harakiri by voting for the PDP in the Edo South Senatorial District. The chance of Samson Osagie being a principal officer of the Senate has been lost. |

CecyAdrian: Mind your language, I don't like your choice of words. The Igbos have every right to allign themselves with whoever they like, its all political evolution. The problem with Igbo is that there is no visionary leader, those who voted did not even expect this outcome, Nigerians are the winners APC will definately solve this riddle no one will be left out. 1 Like 1 Share |

What will senate president benefit a tribe that produced it. Is Benue better than Ekiti, Eboney, Osun or any other state in Nigeria by virtue of producing the senete president for the past 8 years? If not for bragging right I see no need unless the president is not the nigerian president rather president of a particular area. 2 Likes |

bokohalal: I don't think Igbo should accept anything from APC. Buhari as a person does not seem to have any anti-igbo agenda. But the key actors around him in APC do. APC always plotted to exclude Igbo, so let them have their wish. Let them marginalize Igbo as much as their strength will allow them. It's all good for building opposition and instability of the APC goment. 1 Like 1 Share |

This issue is a very serious issue,For those people here saying that Igbo man should not be Senate president remember we have a principle of federal character in place in Nigeria. I am a benin man,I strongly believe that it will be for the greater good of the unity of Nigeria that an Igbo man MUST BE MADE THE SENATE PRESIDENT. |
