Arsenal ‘Invincible’ Martin Keown has criticised Manchester United’s Phil Jones for his performance against Italy, claiming that the defender was “embarrassed” by Giorgio Chiellini, as per his Daily Mail column. “He was embarrassed by Giorgio Chiellini for their goal, and he was lucky to get away with losing his man at the previous set-piece,” wrote Arsenal defender turned BBC pundit Keown. “When England were in possession, he didn’t work hard enough to get on the ball — he was happy to let Chris Smalling bring the ball out. “Out of possession, he often flew out in an attempt to deal with the danger. This is fine when he wins the ball, but a very risky tactic.” The former Arsenal centre-back, who was capped 43 times during his ten year England career, continued to address another area of Jones’ game that he feels hindered him against the four times World Cup winners. “In fairness, he dropped back nicely in between the centre halves regularly, which is clearly what he feels comfortable doing,” added Keown. “The main problem is that he has a habit of chasing the ball when he can’t win it. He looks like he’s been fired out of a cannon! He’ll need to assess situations better and hold his position in front of the back four.” |

I was opportune to see Memphis Depay yesterday. He's a good talent offensively. Angel di Maria was very sharp for Argentina as well, that's the display we need from him at Old Trafford. |

Depay would be a good and affordable option.He is quick, skillful and agile but it remains to seen hw he wud handle d transition frm Eredivise to the Epl.Gareth Bale is the winger who wud come in straight and improve us without needing to acclimatise but Real Madrid wud demand for the head of a dinosaur wen it comes to price.As for Martin Keown, I wonder y he didn't mention all d times he too was embarassed wen he was a defender.Mtchewwww. |

That pic reminds me of how Welbeck looked fragile when e was coming up. He was very skillful but he didnt have the energy to complement his skills. He needed a bit of body building but it appears they over built him in the gym all at once. lol |

dopeJemi: Tell any defender out there that doesnt get dribbled. He was not even completely dribbled. Even Vidic was totally taken off the way by Samuel Eto in UCL final. John Terry has been 'murdered' a few times too. Even Luiz, Thiago Silva who is the most difficult to beat on one vs one. You are here having sleepless night about a young defender thay are trying to give some experience to. He is playing for England and Man United yet you shout no brain. He has been representing England and Man United for years already, at 23. Seat there and be shouting brainless. |

Congratulation on a new President. Nihilist, I told you I would revisit the topic after the announcement. Now that the party of share the treasury has been booted out, I can hammer them with heavy words. Imagine a situation where students union leaders became politicians and got compromised with handsome 'handshakes'. People who have no economic contribution were made multi millionaires/billionaires just for being leaders or strongly connected in PDP. Celebrities spoilt with Money meant for general use, that they became hard to control by producers. The worst thing is that these guys didnt feel they owe us any explanation when key economic issues are raised. Instead they attacked the individuals who raised those issues. APC should put things aright, to basics or they too will be booted out in 4 years. Power to the voter! |
