That explain why Hausa people slay the ibos all time , they never ever respect their host. They make mess of their land , find favour in another mans land only to claim to it saying it belongs to them. A Yoruba man will not attempt all they were doing in aba or abakaliki and I don't see any South east state make a Yoruba man commisioner. So it's a choice, face the business you are here for and stay out of politics or you may as well go back home in droves and develop your land if you believe in fairness !
You think Hausas don't kill Yorubas in those their riots?
You are being delusional. That was how you guys said Boko haram was killing Igbos until it became clear in your eyes, then you suddenly started condemning them.

Like seriously? Did the oba really make these statements? While we are congratulating ourselves for peaceful presidential elections, here is a revered oba making statements that can stoke the fire of violence. Has he forgotten where the wild wild west era led to? He should understand that just cos a jonathan conceded defeat doesnt mean those with itchy hands to destroy the country have been calmed but are only looking for the slightest opportunity to unleash mayhem that could lead to war in which the west wont be spared like during the biafran war. He should publicly denounce these statements publicly if he knows what is good for him

He sounded like a BRIGAND. That coming from someone who calls himself a royal father is is is (I can't even find the words to qualify it) it's a shame on the whole of the west. If I were the Yoruba elders and chief council, this man will be suspended.
I thought Yoruba monarchs said they are non partisan.

What is wrong can neva b right, this is democracy, and people have the right to vote their preferred candidate, that they feel will protect they interest. Even if Lagos belong to you, it doesn't mean you should force Igbos to vote for your preferred candidate with death threat.

Only God gives power, not man

The Igbo's are a buncha thoughtless and senseless pack. Trying to talk sense into them will make no sense as this has always yielded no effort in the past. Coercion and violence is the language that activates their senses and the Obas message is appropriate, necessary and timely.

^^^^
You say the Igbos are thoughtless and senseless. You are entitled to your opinion - after all some Igbos on here liberally pour insults on others too. Ditto Hausa, Yoruba, Annang, Efik, Berom, Angas, Nupe, Fulani, Ijaw etc. I could go on and on.

But you cannot abridge their rights (or the rights of any other Nigerian citizen) to freely elect the candidate of their choice. You do not have the right, authority or power to do so. You simply don't. And if you don't, the Oba of Lagos doesn't either.

Let's be absolutely clear on this.

This is Yoruba land for you, here we have culture and we respect our elders even lordlugard can attest to this, it is the ancestors that choose Ambode whether Igbo's like it or not, something they can never try in Hausa land, why didn't they stay and cast their vote in Kano why do they run, just because Yoruba's are too nice but they should understand that gentility of a tiger should not be taken for granted other wise Igbo's will soon be driven out out Lagos like Ghana must go or still we will report them to the ancestors. but before then if I hear any body abuse oba Akiolu or any oba on the this thred again for they are not obis..........

I'm just saying Lagos don't necessarily have to align with the central before things get done. But I'm one undecided voter........ I also want to witness what will change if Lagos align with the central.

Vote to align it first, and let's see what they will achieve.

You need soft landing for some of the mega-projects the state has embarked on - and they will have no excuses whatsoever after this. Then, continuity is also very important.

I'm actually very interested in the Eko Atlantic project and the refineries/FTC/airport/seaport at the Lekki axis. Ditto the completion of the rail project. You just can't put an end to those projects like that, by voting in a next person, with a completely different agenda.

I believe the king understands what's at stake, hence vituperations albeit he was crude in his approach.

Well, in Yoruba culture - Kings are immortal. They represent the gods.
Anyway, was the psychotic Igbo leader who had a lot of unpleasant things to say about Yorubas and Awolowo, during the last Anambra election, with GEJ sitting there, arrested for what he said? Since he wasn't arrested - leave the King alone. He's just returning the favour, and anything goes in the animal kingdom.
You lot need to thread with caution. You're not the only other Nigerian ethnic group represented in the Lagos, but your innate greed and covetousness will end up as your Achilles heel. No matter how crude/uncivilised the message/messenger might sound, it tells a lot beyond the surface. This shows Yorubas are actually watching the Igbos carefully, and a lot of them have had enough - and one madness might trigger something that will consume everyone. Say NO to violence and learn how to co-exist peacefully with your hosts.
Moreover, how come Igbos are always liberal whenever they're outside their enclaves. However, in ya region - it's all about all kinds of clannishness? An Ebonyi person can't work in Imo's civil service. Abia not comfortable with other Igbos in its civil service. Anambra feeling superior to other Igbos. Ngwas not selling lands to other Igbos etc.,? I think charity must begin at home, don't you think?
Well said. Besides why was the title of this topic changed to "you'll die in seven days etc on the front page? A particular mod trying to stoke ethnic Hatred? Seun you need to tutor your mods on not using your forum to stoke ethnic division
