Ok ooooo, dem dey tell una now,una no wan hear....if e start to set na ibos go lose pass oooo.U can't defeat a man in his home!

Just imagine me coming to ur papa mansion to fight u, using una mansion as the arena, during the fights, things are scattered ( the mansion gets burned down) . Abeg who go loose? Me wey carry only injuries or u wey go still carry injury + una mansion getting destroyed? I will fight u, destroy ur mansion, carry injury, and den go back to my own mansion untouched. What do u all think will happen to lagos state and its finances and infrastructures if a 2months serious riots should start? Of course the investors will diversify shapely leaving lagos a deserted land, please I am in no way advocating for those things to happen( I am just saying) igbos are hustlers, they came to lagos with nothing and made billions out of nothing, they can as well leave lagos with nothing and still make billions elsewhere. what I am saying is that anything with advantage has a disadvantage, the question will be, who will suffer it the more? The lagosians whose homes and lands will be destroyed or the igbos who will go empty handed to their homes un-tampered? Let us all be wise with whatever we clamour for.

Someone needs medical attention.
I wonder when it became wrong to vote ur prefered candidate. This is the 21st century. If Ambode is ur prefered candidate and Jimi is mine, do u have problems with that?
Please stop being illogical

Na so una make noise but the moment OPC stage position across street you will pick phone and start calling for police protection. Mbu cannot help you. With all his gragra he couldnt even help Jonathan. Lagos is not Port Harcourt where he harasses a state governor....over here he will loose his job and life.

Oba has told you, we are not begging you.....if you cherish your livelihood in Lagos, be sure to do the right thing. Yoruba is in power now, not Ijaw. You bow down!

Ok,noted, but don't say i did not warn you, this harsh statement from Mr Akiolu will be counterproductive, now for the smart minds, before an OBA can publicly make a statement like this he must have done his research very well, now the outcome of his research is that with the support of none indegens behind Agbaje there's no way the PDP ll not win Lagos hence he has taken to blackmail and threat which itself is an offence.this is a wakeup call to all noneindegens to vote massively for PDP lets see when akiolu became the president and constitution of Nigeria..empty threat.Agbaje ll win and nothing will happen.if the president could concede defeat who then is Akiolu, common Akiolu.

When did traditional rulers become partisan? No wonder they are being kidnapped these days for ransom, some of them are just as wayward and morally corrupt like the politicians.

This isn't about being partisan or non-partisan. I believe he explained the reason for his choice in the article - folks just decided to sensationalise the crude threats he made.

He's the custodian of the land and he's still on the throne of his ancestors, and future generations. So, he wants the best for Lagos. Based on all the massive projects going on in Lagos at the moment, I believe they have all agreed that continuity and aligning with a favourable center would be the best option for the state to get things done (he said that explicitly in the article). However, it seems Igbos are hell-bent on derailing that cause of action, hence the threat.

If I were Igbo - based on this threat, especially when the two candidates are both Yorubas - I'd take time out to think deeply. Imagine what will happen when there's a strong Igbo candidate? You don't want to imagine that, do you? These Yoruba folks aren't smiling right now, and it seems you have pushed them to the wall. Act right!

Right or no right, that's story. Constitutional or unconstitutional, that's manmade. YOU JUST CANNOT GO TO ANOTHER MAN'S HOUSE AND WANT TO DICTATE FOR HIM!
The gods, the ancestors, the palace, the elders and the people of the land have chosen Ambode and any sabotage will be a call to chaos. Simple as ABC!

Dictate?

Someone trying to exercise one of his rights as a Nigerian (right to vote and be voted for) is now dictating because s/he voted?

Well, technically, the change transcends to Lagos since it has always been in opposition to the center. And this will be the first time Lagos and the center will be governed by the same political party.

Change right there for you - the state can't be in opposition forever.

If PDP didn't win presidential in Lagos, how will they win the governorship? Or anything changed to put rigging in check? I am sure Yoruba's from hinterlands will be galvanised to come and vote for APC.

I think I know more than enough about the mentality of the average Igbo - and Igbos as a group. grin

When folks are so divided among themselves, with so much clannishness - once you give them space, they'll always take it too far.

They just need to focus on their business and leave politics/administration in Lagos alone. There are other ways to go about it, by supporting what the hosts want, while negotiating better deals to enable their businesses thrive.

You can't create enmity on all sides, and expect survival.
Which one the host want, ambode and Jimi are yuroba. Each have yuroba supporters.at no time all yuroba belong to one party.it is silly of him to coerce people to vote a candidate.

I am full bloodied Yoruba however This post makes absolutely. No sense.

There are citizens of Nigeria and have the right to vote who they want since they live here

Let Ibos go back to their villages and let's see If Almighty Lagos will not burn to the ground.

Lagos (Yorubas ) might have the resources, Ibos have the brain and capacity to turn those raw resources to wealth.

Show me another Yoruba state as Lagos.

I am very ashamed of This as a Yoruba person.

Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu said all my fellow Igbo Brothers and Sister will die within 7days if they vote against is self-interested candidate Akinwunmi Ambode. My brothers & sister take a stand to vote against this earthly King who had taking it to cause and afflict us all, we are going to Pray against Him
( Esther 2:15 - Now when the time came for Esther to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Oba Raliwan (Hegai), the king's eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested.

Esther 4:14 - For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the royal position for such a time as this.

Esther 6:12 - Since Igbo brothers & Sisters (Mordecai), before whom your downfall has begun, is of Nigerian (Jewish) origin, you cannot stand against him - you will surely come to ruin!

Esther 7:3 - If I have found favor with you, O king, and if it pleases your majesty, grant me my life - this is my petition, and the life of my people - this is my request).

We are the kings Kid, glory be to God that plan he had for the Igbo & Hausa in Lagos, Almighty Father Jesus should Visit Him with Power that makes him see, their his God for the Igbo in Nigeria. I lwrote this in tears, and bleed from deep in my heart, appreciate me with pray for 3days and 3 nights, send to all our brothers and sisters in South East, South South and to every christians in Nigeria. God must surely fight this battle. As for me if I die, let it be know i have won the race, and transform into Glory. God bless Nigeria.

This Oba should be impeached as soon as possible, he has lost all decorum and every word he spoke can only come from a heart full of intense hatred.
I would expect that all Igbos march out on saturday and make their choice irrespective of these threats.

Agbero speaking, I quote u Sir, if they don't vote ambode they'll die, and if they don't die, come 11th april u'll be a bastard. HV u forgotten what happened to king hero's in d bible, in case u don't know, let me tell u, worms ate him up, simply because he was playing God.

They did not come wt their houses but they hv properties, u dey beef them? Na u give them mony wey them take buy properties?

Who told u that u own Lagos, r u God? Lagos is d Lord's and d fullness thereof

For Ur information u hv prophesied Ur being a bastard, come April 11.

And to all u haters, the Igbo made Lagos wat it is today, the Igbo practically run the economy of Lagos, continue hating, while we continue to grow. Else, find urself something beta to do.

I am not even concerned about the Oba's statement because I have not confirmed it.

I am ashamed at the posts of people here.

I wonder What will happen If Ibos boycott the elections and PDP still wins.

All the Buhari supporters I know are voting PDP.

They are forgetting that Agbage is like Buhari in Lagos.
