History of buhari political ship jumping:
1).2003 and 2007 presidential candidate under the platform of ANPP.
2).2011 left ANPP and joined CPC and became presidential candidate for 2011 under the platform of CPC
3).2015 left/merged CPC to form APC and became presidential candidate for 2015 election.

There is a world of difference between forming a new party and jumping ship to join an already established party.

People like Atiku might be guilty of such, but Buhari & Tinubu have been remarkably consistent in what they do. They have NEVER left their party to join an already established or successful party.

That's the difference bro.

This writer God bless you this what have been saying PDP now knows all the Judas in the party if PDP wakes up in time they will still be strong opposition Jonathan stepping down without violate or any court case means PDP still has credibility and can still be the strongest opposition to APC

APC will end up with this line 'show me your friend and i will tell you who are' all those moving to APC should never be allowed by to PDP im definitely sure APC will lose all respect within 2 years

GMB is a retired military officer, so am not surprised he is courageous and different from other politicians. A time is coming in Nigeria, when leaders of all political parties will be retired military officers

Buhari is not an example of a committed party member he has jumped ship three times in his 13 yrs political history. He is not a yard stick nor a model of loyalty to any political party.

I will not be surprised if he joins a different party or forms a new alliance for the 2019 presidential election once the nascent union of strange bedfellows called APC disintegrate over the looming unchecked party chieftain egos that is already haunting the flickering union.

I respect only 3 people in recent Nigerian political epoch. They are General Buhari for his determination to not give up;Senator Bola Tinubu, the ATM of previous opposition party for his inability to change his political belief and affiliation;and Former President Obasanjo, the prisoner turn democratically elected president-the President who decamp from the ruling party to the previously underdog opposition party. These 3 earn my respect.wish them all long life with good health.

Sycophant! The mindless chanting of Sai Buhari will end on May 30th 2015 and the heavy lifting of bringing change to the government and Nation will begin, eradication of corruption and security and the all around positive change that buhari promised Nigerians will be tested.
Am not ready for excuses he must wave that magic broom and bring all around change to Nigeria. I and many Nigerians will be watching.

The truth about general buhari is the truth you cant change that. Buhari is not a loyal party man he has changed party 3 times and used 3 different political party platform for his presidential bid in the span of 13 yrs. He is not a model of party loyalty and you cant controvert that fact no matter how much you try.
So many thing U ve to understand..buhari changed party right not loyal to a party yes..but he didn't join ruling party rather partnership with sub margin party to built mega one....most of our politicians here in nigeria are money making politicians ...their only serving themselves...

He created CPC.
Pdp remained his opponent. If he was after money, he would have joined pdp since. He would have gotten a juicy ministerial appointment. Stop the hatred! Damn! You are so disgusting

Whether you leave your party to the opposition party or the ruling party, it is the same thing - you have decamped. Buhari decamped. If he believed so much in the ideologies of the parties he left, he should have stayed to consolidate after losing. Instead he moved in search of just a platform to contest. I'm sure if the ruling party had offered him a platform he would have accepted just to fulfill his dream of being a president. He is not a true democrat and cannot be seen as a role model when it comes to party loyalty.
Anywhere, my concern really is when he makes 1 naira equivalent to 1 dollar, and 5k monthly allowance to unemployed youths.

You don't get it do you, jazzydee or whatever you call yourself? You obviously didn't read the post, very typical. The point being made is that he didn't join the ruling party. PDP remained his constant opponent.
Yes, he changed parties in order to position himself better to fight the the party that he believed was Nigeria's problem.

His sole ambition was to become president not make quick money by bagging a ministerial or other political appointment.

Why would he join the ruling party if his dream of becoming president would never be realized under PDP?
The man is old and is aware of this. He didn't have many years to wait for a few more veteran members to become presidents and complete 2 terms each before he gets a chance.
He was so desperate to be president that he would have defected to PDP if he thought he stood a chance under the PDP umbrella.
Let's be candid.
