It is very funny how some people cry "barcanista is a regional champion" but they are very active in promoting their own tribal and regional interests(no time to dig their posts). Talking of hypocrisy.

Let me state that the Eastern region (SS/SE) will not fall for any cheap blackmail. People to respect our right to integration and unity within the Eastern region. Just as we never complained of a "United North" and united West.

It will be welcome if you people and pull out, pathetic people,av u ever being to delta state,do u know how many tribe they got there, incase you don't,they av there urhobo, ijaw, itshekiri, isoko, delta ibo, these people only live together becos of the phrase one nigeria,I know how those people loath one another, they will not survive the day cos I know one tribe will round off the other that's what you people don't know,I really wish we break enough of backward and senseless people

Is delta worse than Nigeria? The people just voted a gov from delta North, with PDP wining across all zones. Your argument is simply pointless.

Bro, I don't think the Igbos need your oils.. Igbos are too business minded and you will always depend on us to survive. At least we make sure cosmetics, spare parts, cloths, jewelries, food stuffs, etc, are there for you to purchase with your oil money.

Keep your oil to yourself...
This post is so true.
Igbos are not interested in oil money rather they have business ideas to make u buy their spare parts with your oil money.

So at the end, everybody is happy

Though not the reason for this thread, I think both regions will make a great country of their own if their constitution is well drafted

If SE/SS no get sense fast we will have ourselves to blame. APC will not give us a second glance when it comes to developing our regions. The SW, NW and NE will demand settlement for putting Buhari in power and let us consider that oil revenue is not what it used to be. We were marginalised during oil boom how much more now.

Resource control is a must and now!
So uniting against the incoming government is the solution to our problems?? Why don't we consider working together with the incoming government. That way we wouldn't be marginalized.

Sure, what they did wasn't rocket science bro...they simply merged their votes to buhari's free votes from northern Nigeria to win...And then turned now; to scream one Nigeria...

This election wasn't about any performance at all but ethnicity and tribalism...

For now, APC is still a regional party like APGA unlike PDP that has won election in every region of Nigeria...

What are you talking?

A regional party that is in control of more than 20 states? We're not talking of only votes at the presidential election here but about a party that has dislodged PDP even in their stronghold od NW/NE regions.

Please reason man.

Its not about uniting against the govt its about forming a democratic and lawful front for mutual benefit. Or would u rather we abandoned our dreams and aspirations of a propsperous east just to appear patriotic?

Do you think I want a scenario where my grandkids ask me why the east is not developed and we have to live in Abuja or Lagos to enjoy the best of FG infrastructure? The mistake our fathers made was costly enough

One of the union should just not run back to Nigeria one more time for help against its domineering partner.

Whenever these divide and rule champs bring that lie about igbos wanting SS oil bear in mind that every state in the SE except Ebonyi and Enugu produces crude which is exported, sold and contributes to national income.

I tell you. The Igbos live and die in business. Had it not been for the entrepreneurial mind God gave the Igbos, I bet you that we would have wasted in this country long time ago..

Sometimes it takes a tortured mind to develop an entrepreneurial spirit. A country with millions of jobs will leave people jumping from one job to another. But a country with problem of unemployment will have hundreds of thousands of youths thinking of how to set up their business empires.

There are several countries without oil but they are surviving..

Nigger, how many Igbos have you met that are lazy? Majority of the Igbos are hard working that is why even without education, they make something meaningful out of life. The millionaires doing business (import and trading) at Alaba, BBA, Autoparts, Lagos Island, Idumota, Computer Village, Onitsha, Aba, Wuse market, etc are a case study...

You don't have many tribes who can dominate the Nigerian market like that bro..
igbos are not lazy but dix nigaars hia are damn lazy..pls brother open shop for dem let dem stop being like d abokis

The internal division due to ignorance(mostly on our part) has been the reason why we don't achieve anything. A divided Family will never move forward. This the Ijaw Youths realise and had to apologise to Indigbos for the event of 1967...dailyindependentnig.com/2015/02/ijaw-youth-beg-ndigbo-forgiveness-role-civil-war/ on a thread, I had to recall my folly in the ignorant ijaw/ss sentiment and apologised sincerely.

The detractors are aware that a united easterners will put an end to their unholy control and end our marginalisation. We all need emancipation, in Unity we can achieve it.

The issue of "they want our oil" is a ploy to maintain status quo. The Niger Deltans are now realising.
