Lol. Pele.

Thanks Nita. I knew it will reduce with time, just that I didn't expect it to happen so suddenly and the fact that it has been helping with birth control. I am really enjoying that and I wish it won't stop till I'm ready again. lol

It's even better self. Carry on.

Don't wash the hair everyday...and try and get a baby hair conditioner for the days you wash. Washing the hair everyday will harden it.

Pls stop it. If your baby is a girl, and you want her to have soft bouncy hair with the curls retained, then don't wash everyday. Washing strips the hair of its natural oils and all...that's why it's better to use a conditioner set.

What I do for my daughter is condition once a week, and apply Shea butter + olive oil/coconut oil every other day....and her hair is obviously better than her brother's hair that I used to wash everyday that it got so hard.

Did he do an SB test?

It sounds like physiological jaundice though...nothing major. But doing the SB test would have been better.

Yea...that's SB test. Thing with physiological jaundice is almost every baby is born with a degree of jaundice...but some get more jaundiced than others, which makes it show in the eyes and all. As long as the jaundice did not show in the first 24hrs of life, there is hardly any cause for worry.

The doctor probably saw that the bilirubin level, though high, is not enough to request phototherapy. Just ensure you breastfeed WELL...as in WELL...as in let him be sleeping and waking up at the breast. The more wet diapers and poo diapers, the better for him.

Another test should be done in 3days. Even if your doctor does not request it, pls ask for it. Then compare the bilirubin levels. If there is a drop, that's good. Once it gets to 0.5 I think, then it's 'cured'. Infants are born with about 0.5, but drops to a very very low level as they grow.

Yes that's it. Babies don't burp every time though.

That happened to my 2 kids too. I really didn't find out why, cos they didn't seem to be in any discomfort. I down,t think it's a cause for alarm though. What colour is the poo?

He he he! Yesooo. Many mothers make that mistake. In fact, I used to wash my son's hair 2x a day. By the time he was 4m, it was so dry...but luckily we cut it off at a year...as per baby boy.

Get a conditioner instead. I started conditioning my daughter's hair from 3weeks. And before then I only washed it with shampoo once ( apart from the hospital bathing by the nurses). Her hair is so deep curled and springy...over shrinkage dey worry am sef lol.

I condition once a week. You don't need to get a shampoo, conditioner is okay.

Doesn't sound bad to me. Remember he wasn't born big, so don't expect him to suddenly weigh 6kg
