Yes we need them yet are they capable to supply require tools needed for technology? business studies may not need much. After comparing UK universities and Nigerian universities, I see that we lack tools that can prepare students for industry.

exactly... the universities we have in nigeria is simply not enough..the NUC is using an old system for accreditation.

15. The International University Missouri

This FAKE university is run by one Dr.Basir or so (can't remember his name again). I wasted 2 semesters there pursuinig my MBA before bubble burst and the guy couldn't prove to us that the school was real because NUC declared the school illegal and as non-recognised and non-accredited. The Lagos campus is located in Emmanuel Kolawole street shomolu.

Up till now my money hasn't been refunded. Just another 419er taking advantage of Nigerians who are desirous of further studies

Houdegbe North American University Benin republic is different from the Nigerian own listed there.
NUC has no business with that.

When we said that the standard of education has fallen, am sure you will be one of those that talked. How do you ensure credibility in education when every tom, dick and harry can come here set up a university or tertiary institution?. NUC has been trying to set the standard for that since.
We don't want a university whose owner cannot complete a sentence in english language.

The problem with this country is that it has too many universities, everyone wants to have a certificate, nobody wan learn handwork again, even though handworks pays money before you graduate.

Its a shame, we have to import artisans from Benin, Cameron and togo to do our work as our able bodied youths refuse to do any type of job perceived as menial.

Today we have electrical engineering graduates who dont know how to change bulb in a house , or repair burnt cutout fuse.
We have Mechanical engineering graduates who wear tire and hide in the office all day, and dont knw hw to fix simple machines big shame.

Why wont we have fake varsities when every one wants a degree, no more mono and polytechnics, govt even wants to convert the few mono and polytechnics to varsities, we need to change our orientation.
Look for value and not paper.

I think the current education system as it is only makes money out of the students, it doesnt impart the needed skills they need to survive in the real world, it just raises their expectations for nothing.

I believe the environment outside school will teach the students better, because knowledge is dynamic and while what is taught in class is static and obsolete, hw can a lecturer who has never worked for the past 20years teach u real stuff when he/ she only dubs obsolete materials and crams down students throats for money.

Yes, their graduates go for Nysc in Nigeria.

Nigerian requirements for Institutions are too high. They don't consider number of students seeking admission.

I know quite a lot of Institutions on this list meet world standard.

But seriously, like someone noted our graduates are not serious and many are not employable today. They are not ready to help themselves anyway as they also refuse to learn handwork, yet everyone is shouting unemployment.

Most artisans you see in Lagos are either Ghanians or Bennois. Anyway Buhari has promised to give everyone N7500 monthly.
