The man pictured was punished for crossing the highway instead of using the pedestrian bridge in Ikeja...He was ordered by the security operative to kneel and hold his ears ...Is this right though?

Nice one smiley .... If he really commited that offence, he should even be made to wash 10 kilometres of that road angry

I still don't get why Nigerians have to be coerced to take steps which preserve their own lives undecided

This is not right! Riot act should be read to the Nigeria police to respect human rights, this man (the civilian who committed the offense) should be arrested and given a citation at the police station, not treated this way

It's not right however why do people Insist in behaving like children The bridge was put their for our safety yet some stubborn people will refuse to use it and if a car hits him now people will go and attack the driver and start shouting government blah blah

Even children have more sense than this man. I think they should start fining people

Where is the evidence that this is a case of a man crossing the highway, the man standing does not look like a Kai official, the pants he wore is used by other law enforcement agents both FG one state in Lagos,it might be an army man dealing with a bus conductor

Imagine forcing a grown up man to leave safe....infact let him cross the bridge 20 times that will be the best punishment

Honestly this might seem harsh but sometimes I feel like Nigerians need this. When you cross and a car hits you, it's not only you it affects, it also affects the driver for the rest of his/her life even if it was unavoidable. I believe in punishing a crime that affects other people.

Now if we can work some other forms of punishments out, I'm down for it. Not getting punished for indiscipline is definitely not an option. You see bus drivers speeding down one way roads on the highway, switching lanes. I saw a bus driver make a wide u-turn on a three lane highway today. Dude took two lanes to make the turn on a high speed road. If something happens, it's not only the bus driver it'll affect. To me someone like that if caught should be jailed for at least 60 days.

I hope GMB comes up with rules and regulations concerning indiscipline and the consequences

the ministry of works has to look into this matter because the pedestrian bridges are not strategically placed or why should i have to walk 100-150m to cross a highway i could have crossed aeons ago?
Its not encouraging at all!

If you like, don't use pedestrian bridge, I've promised myself that once I hit anyone close to one, I'll never stop.

Just pray someone like me isn't driving past.

When am in a ride..it pisses me off to see them run across the road angry

When am on the road it pisses me off that the 4kin bridge is more distant from where I am and its longer and energy wasting

when they are in heaven it pisses me off that they were to slow and unlucky to get hit.. undecided :-] ...
