Someone was crushed to death(I couldn't take a pinture cos I was late for work) On Monday morning on that express road.. So security personel were drafted to stop ppl(goats) like d guy being purnished to take d right way so as to preserve his life and other.

Where is the evidence that this is a case of a man crossing the highway, the man standing does not look like a Kai official, the pants he wore is used by other law enforcement agents both FG one state in Lagos,it might be an army man dealing with a bus conductor

WTF? I hope we will not be seeing this kind of barbarian punishment under the APC led FG?
If people make use pedestrian bridge, life's will be safe.

This isn't about APC, it's the law.

Re: Man Punished For Not Using Pedestrian Bridge In Lagos(photo) by hedonistic: 10:21pm On Apr 28, 2015
Any fool who justifies, excuses, rationalises, or even condones this sort of thing (as many commenters did on the front page) does not deserve to be regarded as a civilised human being, regardless of - or in spite of his or her level of useless education. It is ridiculous how animalistic most Nigerians and Africans are.

OK, a man crosses the road instead of using a pedestrian bridge, so what? WHAT DOES THE LAW STIPULATE? We are not a lawless country of barbarians. What exactly does the law say about not using a pedestrian bridge? What punishment does the law prescribe? That is ALL that matters. Does the law empower any random security operative to humiliate or dehumanize anyone who refuses to use a pedestrian bridge? It's really as simple as that. All this stuupid talk about why it "serves him right" for "refusing to do the right thing" is nonsensical. The law has to take its course at all times. No sane society gives law enforcement officers the liberty to punish supposed offenders anyhow they deem fit. That only happens in useless third world societies like Nigeria.

Re: Man Punished For Not Using Pedestrian Bridge In Lagos(photo) by Lovexme(m): 10:23pm On Apr 28, 2015
That is at Ikeja Along. I witnessed such yesterday. Some people were made to do frog jump for crossing the express instead of using the pedestrian bridge which is just above where they stood.

People keep getting killed on that road, yet some fools would still ignore the pedestrian bridge which is supposed to ease movement from one part of the road to the other, and also prevent the accidents which happen anyway.

I do not pity those killed while crossing the road, because there's a pedestrian bridge just above them!

Harsh but the truth.

well that's a confirmation, but I think there is a law against offenders, better still they should be made to pay fines rather than what they did to him

I wonder why so many people insist on risking their lives crossing the roads instead of using the pedestrian bridges.

That punishment is odd though. They should fine people who don't use the pedestrian bridge.
