^^ Ok

Never heard of it in real life. Have you?
I have. There was an incident of a MIL who complained her DIL made her son waste money because she didn't try to have normal delivery. She sat beside me in the hospital and heard her make that comment toa friend.
I have also seen quite a no of pregnant women who refuse C/S though for reasons best known to them.

so sad.She shouldn't have bothered trying to prove anything.

I have seen some women cry when the doctor tells them it will have to be a C/S.I know for some it's the cost they think about but for the others,i wonder what goes through their minds-maybe fear.

It could be fear. Probably they've heard about the processes involved in CS.

Are you a doctor?

It's surprising that such people exist. Opted for CS when normal delivery proved difficult. Now I carry my badge with pride cos I have my twin little angels to show for it. Heard MIL sef was rollin on the floor when I was brought out of the theatre. I don't av anything to prove to anybody.

I had my two kids via CS. The first we did pelvic test and discovered that a baby that weigh above 1.9 can't pass through and i knew no way will my child be small as i can eat for Africa then. But i still hoped and actually went into labour but still had to do CS @38weeks, baby was 3.1. Yes i was mocked by a friend who believes am too lazy to push, after-all she pushed. For my second baby i still had hope doctor said sometimes its possible but had to have another CS due to irregular breathing on my part at 36 weeks, also labour and thank God i did CS i was practically gasping for breath, baby was 2.8. After then the person that mocked for the first one still told me why i am too weak and i told her point blank that i am stronger cuz she cant even begin to understand the pains i went through! I am stronger because Virginia delivery pain will go easily CS pains is continuous and i have major wounds to nurse! I am stronger because i have to go extra miles to get back into shape, i am stronger because i cant eat what everyone eats for sometime and i crave, i am stronger because i reacted to my sutures and had to spend extra one month going to hospital everyday to have my incision pressed, i am stronger because despite being cut i am no different from a normal mother.

Today i thank God cuz, she also had to go through CS because she had complications with her second baby. So she'll understand some of us don't have choice, people that do elective kudos to them because if not for my situation i will never have opted for CS, the pains was killing despite heavy doses extreme painkillers.

No matter what u do, how saintly u are, ppl will always judge u differently. How much of a fvck u give to their judgement determines ur life's pattern.

Opting for CS is a bold step and u'd def be putting the life of ur child above urs considering the dangers of getting a knife cut.

Please ignore the judgmental fools. wink
well said.

Some people do mock o. But they will never say it in your presence. Its common among these oldies (like mother inlaws).

There was one woman who was discussing about a lady who beats her child like an animal. She said she doesn't blame the lady, it's because she didn't gave birth to the child in a normal delivery.

My question is, is it true that people who gave birth through CS do not have affection for their child as the other women?

Truth be told, it's mostly women themselves responsible for stuff like this...that inherently competitive I-am-better-than-you nature makes a lot of women masters at shaming other women for the stupidest of things.

Slut-shaming,
Single-shaming,
Fake b00b/fake azz-shaming,
Skinny-shaming, etc. etc
.

The list goes on and on.
At emboldened, that's if Nairaland men don't practise what they preach in the real-world.

Going by what I have seen and read, 80% goes to men.

CS is not easy either, post-surgery recovery is more painful and slower.....i've done both so i'm speaking from experience....so let their ignorant minds continue mocking their ignorance

Go to a thread about:
Amber Rose or Kim Kardashian - count the highest number of gender that would call her fake.

Genevieve Nnaji - count the the highest number of gender that would call her single-old cargo.

Agbani Darego - count the highest gender that would call her skinny bìtch.

Tonto Dike - count the highest number of gender that would call her a slut.

Again, maybe internet has been making some men to be what they are not in real-life.

Do you live on Nairaland or in the real world?

The personal experiences of some female posters on this thread and the countless MIL-DIL threads is not enough to tell you that most women don't know how to get along with each other?

Take a survey here and ask how many women on NL have had the same female best friend for over 10years (that's if they don't flat out lie), then compare that to a survey of men who've had lasting friendships spanning over 10years.

If you're living in the real world, you should know what the result will look like.

I said going by what I've seen online except they don't practise it offline.

Offline? Urggh, I haven't seen a female or male friend bashing any woman that gave birth through CS.
By the way, your DIL-MIL analysis was made using online statistics.
Meanwhile, my aunt best friend is her childhood bestie.

Well, now you have seen where a woman bashes another regarding CS going by the few experiences shared here.

And are you telling me that the MIL-DIL generational issue does not exist outside NL? cheesy
Please wake up grin

Err, the way a survey works is that there will always be exceptions (e.g your aunt), ... these exceptions however will be too little to upset the general consensus.
