Na wa for your title. The girls / ladies in question aren't cattle to be traded and prices haggled over. Modify your title to reflect something like: "How expensive is the bride price for ladies from Delta State..." or something in that region.

Anyway, in response to your question, the bride price isn't much. Just a token more like. Emphasis is on the groom to treat her right. As a mother, I'll say it loud and clear that no amount of money can "buy" my daughter.
kiss kiss and I ain't paying too to get married to any lady though I would do traditional rites but I ain't paying

Even We Anioma people have big problem, always dividing ourselves

To your question, generally it's not expensive unless of course the family is a greedy one. Tell them... Igbos will not stop claiming territory to gain support. Agbor or Ika people r from tribe called Ika and they speak ika Language. Agbor Royal kingdom is extension of Benin kingdom....
According to history, the first Dein(King) of Agbor is a cousin to Oba of Benin..... he ceded the kingdom to his cousin.... AND 80% OF OLD PEOPLE IN AGBOR SPEAK BENIN OR HAVE NAME/SURNAME THAT ORIGINATED FROM BENIN.

Babygirlfl is not an Anioma. Babygirlfl is also not a woman. Babygirlfl is a yoruba man with intent to divide Igbos whether in SE or Delta. I have never met an Anioma that denies his or her Igbo heritage and language. 80% of Aniomas marry SE Igbos...from Iweala to Okocha, e.t.c. Don't mind this idi$ot!

Hello people, please I need your advice and comments, as I intend to take my woman to the altar soon, and we are planning ahead towards that particular day we will say 'I do' to each other. Please advice me, as a young guy not that is strong financially but still hustling to be a man his woman will always be proud of. When marrying a girl from Delta, more precisely Delta Igbo, are their girls expensive?

And how much will it cost me for both the traditional and the white wedding? Kindly advice me if you have ever being married to girls from this tribe.

Thanks.

I am from Delta...Ibusa precisely, it all depends on the family...for my trad they came up with
something close to 350k and i considered that outrageous but then it happened because my dad
is late and so my uncles decided to do what they liked, my father inlaw...a smart Delta man negotiated
he told them i was not for sale and marriage was a lifetime deal,he ended up giving them 120k minus the
non-alcoholic drinks, bitter kola and kolanuts...though they fined hubby and i extra 50k for going ahead to
do registry without their consent...in a nutshell discuss with your bride to be,let her mediate for you and if
possible get a hold of the list beforehand so you can plan with that but it is not a must to pay for everything.

Back to the topic itself, marrying an Anioma babe is one of the most inexpensive ventures ever known to man. In Ukwuani; bride price is #150. Pepper, salt, honey, yams and drinks are also part of it though according to what you can afford.

Yorubas are ignorant but our cousins across the Niger are worse; they insist we call ourselves Igbo and any attempt by us to define ourselves is condemned. Very soon, some of the nonentities on Nairaland will start calling you a Hausa/Yoruba slave; thing is funny as hell grin grin
I detest the use of the word "Nonentities."
Every tribe is guilty of this....
If some few Yoruba men goes against the view of the majority, they will start condeming the few ones...
Even the Northern are worse... Going against the view of the majority up north can cost you your life... Even some Northern(Hausas) still refers to the Southern Muslims(Yorubas) as "kaffirs" (fake muslim)...
My bro, every tribe is guilty...
I don't expect such from you.... I'm disappointed....
God bless!

The use of the term "nonetities" is meant for those of our cousins across the Niger who do not believe we have the right of self determination. Nowhere in that post did I insult a whole tribe for the actions of a few morons; that would be me sinking to their level. Have lost count of the number of threads on here where an Anioma person is insulted and ridiculed for saying he/she is an Anioma.

Ok for instance my girls parents are all based in lagos, does dat entail dat if we want to prepare for the traditional wedding it will be held here in lagos or we would have to return back to their village to hold the traditional wedding?am still confused here on this cos she was saying it can still be done here in lagos I mean the traditional wedding since her folks are and family are all based in lag.

It can be done in Lagos if her parents her here.

We are distinctive tribes ans should be called and recognised as one.
