A reawakening was needed. The guys seems comfortable in the first half, it was in the second half they woke from their slumber. In all, it was a good fight. This should help them focus for the United game |

Swansea stole the game from us. It was a tactical win for them, they were clearly not the better team by any means. Nevertheless it shows this team still needs revamping for anyone to imagine we can win the league next season. Ask me what position Arsene needs to priortise? We need a gademn striker. Options... A. Higuain - Napoli B. Firmino - Hoffenheim C. Bacca - Sevilla D. Lacazette - Lyon E. I won't mind a Messi or Ronaldo 1 Like 1 Share |

naijababe:You don't think our priority is a top striker? Kudos to Giroud. He has improved and maybe he will continue to improve. However, I strongly feel our priority should be a top striker. Someone who can GUARANTEE us at least 25 goals a season (barring injuries). I believe that's one thing we've lacked this season. As for DM, Coquelin has done really well. In fact, those who used to say we don't need a DM have now kept quiet because Coquelin has shown us what we lacked when it was just Arteta and Flamini. Two months ago, I would have asked for a DM too but now if money is an issue, I'm fine with Coquelin as DM and at worst, we can get him a back up (sell off Flamini and Arteta). If money is not an issue, well, I won't mind the French guy at Southampton. GK - I really don't see AW bringing in a new GK unless one of Ospina or Szczesny leaves. Obviously I wouldn't mind us bringing in Cech or any of those world class GK but if we are being realistic, I expect us to continue with the 3 GKs we already have. If anything, we need to sell of Martinez. I've never really fancied him and even Macey at U21 level is a better GK (albeit with less experience). So priority for me is a striker. |

proudlysports: I know Le Coq has improved tremendously but he is nowhere near the finished product just yet. If we have to get one player, my preference is DM because scoring to me is not the problem, keeping balls from the back of our net is the bigger problem. Besides, Giroud has plenty of assist kings who are also prolific scorers behind. Flamini & Arteta, those two are now deadwood as far as I am concerned. Rather than Schnederlein, I'd prefer us to go after Kondogbia. |

naijababe: Your head dey there.... I would personally prioritize an efficient striker who is very mobile over any position but if we have the luxury of also pursuing a defensive midfielder the only name that would excite me is Geoffery Kondogbia....size, moderate speed (covers massive amount of ground), technique and intelligence ...followed him from Sevilla, watched some of his lique one games for Monaco and of course his performance in the champions league, I personally don't fancy Schnederlein, nothing too exciting about him, Wanyama pulls more strings in that position than he does for Southampton albeit he is better offensively than the latter. |

The stats prove scoring goals is not our problem, a whopping 34 goals conceded. 5hitty would have won the league if they conceded less goals too.

True we've scored a lot of goals. Maybe what I'm looking at are the games we lost/drew because we couldn't break some teams down. yesterday's game is a classic example. Did we lose the game because we couldn't score or because we didn't defend well? Similar thing happened in the 1st leg and we've had a few games like that this season. I may be wrong. Perhaps I'm just spoilt. I remember how Thierry used to bail us out of games. Maybe that's why I think we need someone upfront. |

Kondogbia showed us the stuff he is made of both in the emirate cup and ucl,he is strong on the ball, holds it confidently, wins physical battle, leadership style of play etc i honestly want him and coq handle the Dm role.. Another sharp striker is aslo needed and ozil shouldnt be playing 90mins in most games. |

Also City's situation could also be blamed on Aguero's injuries /lack of form earlier on. |

proudly9ja: I know that's what you are thinking, we need someone to basically boss the midfield both to break down play of opponents and protect our back 4. Someone like Gilberto, darn, I miss that guy proudly9ja: Didn't stop them from scoring 77 goals. All dem Demichelis and co be their problem |
