Of course you don't care about the labour issues. That is exactly my point. Nigerians aren't working people. They are hustling people. So the xenophobic attacks and "take-our-jobs" story has nothing to do with Nigeria. It is a SADC issue that Nigeria has no business talking about.
Nigerians are only about drugs, pimping and scams. The way South Africa views Nigerians has zero to do with the way South Africa views a Mozambican. So, yes - you don't care about labour issues. All you care about is how you can stay in South Africa so you can escape the ravaged infrastructure and such in Nigeria. You care only about how you can continue being viewed as an oga both in Nigeria and in SA. If you are treated like filth, you are hurt and bitter. You, my friend, are hurt and are bitter.

If your statements are true why is the woman in the video complaining about Nigerians and relating this to her children not being able to work. You should go tell her Nigerians aren't her problem since they are "hustling" people. They aren't taking her sons jobs. They are hustling.

If your statement above also hold water.... What about the non SADC Ethiopians, the Somalis, the Congolese.... Are they also "hustling" peoples.

Please! stop the BS

There's only ONE EXCUSE that's fact and it's about Nigerians:

They sell drugs and they are pimps. Not "foreigners", but Nigerians. Everything else is irrelevant.

End of story.

Even this thread is full of typical Nigerian thinking like "does marrying a South African woman help me get papers".

That alone tell you what we are dealing with - people that would do anything for money, even if it means marrying a woman they don't love.

This also tells us how much a failure Nigeria is - for young men to be so desperate that they consider marrying a woman just for papers.

You are a failed immigrant, my friend. South Africa burned you and you can't get over it. You know nothing about South Africa even if you have lived in it. You failed to integrate and now you think South Africans owe you something. As an immigrant, it was up to you to do the work that would help you integrate. But you failed to and you ended up on the fringes of South African society. Now, you are bitter.

Please stop sugar coating South Africa for us here in trying to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians who are bent on traveling to your country that is a rainbow nation. They would be better of in China, Malaysia, even other African countries cept South Africa.

We need to make them aware of the situation down there so they are fully aware when they do get down there.

Plenty Nigerians in Malaysia have been crying about foul treatment they receive from Malaysian citizens and also authorities just because they are Nigerians? undecided undecided undecided Have you told them to go back to Naija?

Lets just do a little statistics here see how factual your numbers are. You say 90% of Nigerians in SA sell drugs based on your extrapolation from 98% Nigerian drug related cases in SA.

Estimated number of Nigerians in South Africa based on Consulate estimates.....about 400,000+

Take 90% of 400,000 this means that at total of number of 360,000 Nigerians in south Africa are drug dealers, pimps and the likes.

Do you see how st.upid that looks. If there were 360,000 so called drug dealers, pimps and the likes and lets say 30% had court cases,ti would mean that your justice department would be dealing with handling at least 100,000 cases of drug related crimes committed by Nigerians.

Lets say about 70% are prosecuted while 30% are able to slip through system, this would mean about 70,000 drug dealers are lavishing in SA African prisons.

This would lead me to believe that the SA government are not very smart seeing that the amount spent on a per person Nigerian in jail is more of a burden on their tax system that it would cost to just simply round them up and deport them.

Hmmm not very smart.

Please revise you stats!

He said 90% of court cases Nigerians answer to. NOT 90% of Nigerians are drug dealers undecided undecided undecided undecided

You are deranged if you think that I will sit here and watch YouTube videos.

No amount of deranged behaviour will change the fact that Nigerians are nothing but hustlers in the main. Even OP confirms it with his story. You have zero to do with South Africa's labour issues. Zero. Your corner is where the drugs are, that's it. The Omotoso's have given us a taste of what Nigerians can be like but the uneducated Igbos outnumber the good ones by far.

You are one of the undesirable ones and this hurts you like hell. You can't deal with it and have become consumed by the pain. You can't even help yourself.

AN NGO I am involved in works with the Honorable Abike Dabiri's office, She is a strong advocate against the discrimination of Nigerians in Disapora specifically in Asian countries.

I have met and counseled Nigerians who have returned from prison terms in Asian countries.

Does that answer your question, Ma?

They remain a prime example of a good Nigerian immigrant, whether you like it or not. The are also outnumbered by the uneducated Igbos in Hillbrow, whether you like it or not.

Two facts that you can't deny. Meaning your post is mute, like everything else that you have posted.

I agree with statement number 1 except for the "prime" part though

I also agree with statement number 2.

Not quiet. I see contradicting statements. You first said that Nigerians are better off in China, Malaysia etc. than in South Africa, therefore you advice people to go to these countries either than SA.
Then I asked you if you have advised those Nigerians in Malaysia who have been having xenophobic encounters to return to Nigeria.

You contradict yourself because Malaysia has xenophobic/migration issues targeting Nigerians and also SA, but to you SA is the hellish and develish place of all.

SA is not so bad as it is ppainted, yes there are challenges but if you do things by law you will have a better future. There are few Nigerians who are benefiting from getting SA education and citizenship etc. including myself.

I just met another two Nigerian guys who are living and working in Saudi Arabia on SA passports. Funny enough we were discussing discrimination because of Nationality in Saudi Arabia in all industries or sectors. We all know we would not have gotten the jobs here in Saudi Arabia with Nigerian passport but only because for SA citizenship. Saudi state the countries they wish to attract and if you re not from those countries they don't employ you, and Nigeria is not one of those skills they wish to attract

The Universities and school will be closing for summer and they are both going to SA for holidays. I asked them if they will be going to Naija by any chance, the response was "HELL NO" They are bot planning to buy property in SA and settle in SA.

So if Xenophobia was extremely bad in all corners of SA, why would they prefer to go SA than Nigeria??

Those who wish to go to SA, go legally and get proper SA education and later citizenship and never be on the wrong side of the law, you will reap great rewards just like any legal immigrant elsewhere. SA Higher education is still respected and the development is also very respected.

As OP said plan your move very well and you will reap the benefits smiley smiley Understand that the media sometimes hyper-sensationalize issues.

Nigerians fair much better in China and Malaysia than they do in South Africa from my perspective and interactions. You have a higher number of legit traders, importers, students and Nigerian business people who travel and relocate to these countries in comparison to the unskilled and semi skilled type that find it easier to travel to South Africa. China and Malaysia do have issues with Nigerians who engage in illegal activities as should any country but there is no blanket perception that ALL NIGERIANS are drug dealers as it is in South Africa.

The attestation to this is the perception of Nigerians in developed countries like the US, the UK, Germany and the likes which attracts the more working, middle class, upper middle class Nigerians. You don not experience discrimination in the manner meted out in South Africa or at least they are more civilized about it than the South Africans are.

My dear, it is not corrupted at all. I fight for people like you and the little girl in those pictures who's crime it is to be stereotyped by a people who constantly want to blame others for their misfortunes. I am fully aware of how social media exaggerated the pictures about Xenophobia and I am definitely not new to the topic seeing that I have been on Nairaland for quite some time now.
