Men you guys are coming out the wood works aren't you. Did they stop severing alcoholic beverages at the Shebeen today. Tis the week end?

PS the article only strengthens my argument, Honey booboo. Even you guys use the word Xenophobia to define your madness.

"Severing" ? Kikiki. I don't drink, btw smiley

Noone is hiding the fact that SOME South Africans are Xenophobic or how would we explain the attacks on foreign nationals. I actually had a conversation with a Ghanaian friend of mine about the article I just posted & he asked what I thought about it. I'll tell you what I told him. I told him that, at one point or another, most South Africans were Xenophobic. Myself included. Hell, I have family members who are still xenophobic to this day. But it's each & every single individual's dragon to slay. Meaning, you learn to overcome it as you allow yourself to interact with people. I even likened it to someone saying they don't like cheese even though they've never tasted it before. Until you taste all different kinds of cheese, your dislike for it will still remain baseless. By tasting it, you're opening yourself up to find one that agrees with your palate.

As I write this today, I'm not going to sit here & lie & say I like all foreigners because I don't. Personally I get along well with Ghanaians. It's a hit or miss with others. However, I don't like Somalians, Pakistanis & the lot of them from the Asian countries. I don't dislike them because they're foreigners but because of how they are as individuals. My dislike stems from interactions with the said people & not out of some unfounded phobia I sucked out of my thumb. Even with that said, it still doesn't mean I dislike ALL Somalians etc because I don't. I only couldn't careless about the ones who show characteristics that I associate with Somalians, through my interactions with them. I hope you get what I'm trying to say here.

True but sometimes people from the same place can have similarities because of culture etc & that's an undisputed fact.

Again, that's YOUR own issue. I once stayed in a flat where we had people from across the continent. Every Christmas, all of us who didn't go home, paid money so we could all have a braai & a few drinks. I'm talking South Africans, people from Cameroon, Zimbabweans, Ghanaians & Nigerians. None of them feared being attacked because we all knew each other. Hence I mentioned INTERACTING with as many people as possible before coming to an "educated" conclusion.

I am still scared. Anyone can run refuse to be a drug mule if offered to be one by a Nigerian but the way ya'll switch from "normal" to that Xenophobic mode is quite jarring

Ah well then. She overcame her own fears & opened herself up & because of that, her perception changed. The guy also had to prove himself. It takes two to tango. The fears you have are the same fears they have & until a step is taken, both will remain in their distrust of the other.

You are contradicting yourself. Apply that " wisdom" to South Africans too, why don't you? But you can't do that because you are a victim. You have been hurt badly by South Africans and now you walk around with a chip on your shoulder, on some crusade.

When it comes to foreigners, "the content of the character defines the human being and not their nationality".

But when it comes to South Africans, no, no, no. No such luxury for them.

Do you know how crazy you sound? No logic whatsoever. Zero thought. Zero sense. This is what happens when your views are driven by bitterness.

You've written a lot, but pretty much say nothin' you basically repeat the same thing over and over again

You have no business in telling South Africans they have a problem, we are a problem in our own country not in Vietnam, Malaysia, indonesia etc face that problem first before telling other people, You live in a glass house don't throw stones

It's funny how you take "iisolated ncidents "and make them the norm, Sure your friends took out some cheap floozies out, so what? Does it now mean our women now prefer Nigerian men? Not by a long shot, Women who marry Nigerians are looked down upon, not only by men but by the South African society in general and that's fact!

And please stop feeding me this vídeo nonsense, I unlike you do not study South África for a living, I live in SA, I'm South African, you can't possibly understand the country more than I do
This sort is comment is the main issue, this is like saying that getting married to a South African is like death sentence because you are more likely to die of HIV.

i laiugh when you people keep yapping about HIV as if it's exclusive to South África, Nigeria's HIV statistics don't exactly make for good reading and I bet you don't even know them but here you are foaming at the corners of the mouth talkng nonsense! If you were well informed you would have known that because of the policies of Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, SA is gradually winning the war on HIV, new infections are declining....you would"nt know that hey villager?

I know Nigeria HIV figure is high, I don't need your education on that, but HIV is to SA what 419 is to Nigeria.

On the contrary, you do need to be educated on this point. Nigeria leads the world in AIDS deaths.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201407280986.html

Also, Nigeria has the highest number of AIDS related deaths, globally, in 2013. The country is closely followed by South Africa with 13 per cent, and India with eight per cent. (quote)

Lots of other stats that I needn't share because the point is made.

Dude you can only fool yourself....this is from that link
The report stated that Nigeria has the second highest number of people living with the disease, with nine per cent of the 35 million persons living with the virus by the end of 2013. South Africa tops the chart with 18 per cent. Nigeria is also second to South Africa with 16 per cent as the countries with the highest number of the 2.1 million new HIV infections that occurred in 2013.

Where does your report say that Nigeria DOES NOT lead AIDS DEATHS globally?

Where?

Nowhere.

Are you afraid of the statistics below? This comes from your very own source.

Death is worse than walking around with HIV. HIV is a manageable disease, as South Africa has shown.

Nigerians die more from AIDS. To die from AIDS, you must have HIV first. So, the picture is clear here. What is also clear is that South Africa is winning the battle and Nigeria is not. It follows that prevalence remains if infected people live longer, as they do now in South Africa. Nigeria also leads the world in Mother-to-Child infections, which means it is building a future of HIV positive people, which it fails to treat, hence the deaths.

Not quiet. I see contradicting statements. You first said that Nigerians are better off in China, Malaysia etc. than in South Africa, therefore you advice people to go to these countries either than SA.
Then I asked you if you have advised those Nigerians in Malaysia who have been having xenophobic encounters to return to Nigeria.

You contradict yourself because Malaysia has xenophobic/migration issues targeting Nigerians and also SA, but to you SA is the hellish and develish place of all.

I lived in SA before I became a teenager, I moved down with my parents ( God bless them ), and studied Senior primary and High School and University worked there and acquired citizenship. SA can honestly be demonized by the media including SA media.Though I was not in SA during the attacks, some of the pictures that you saw during the last attack were actually pictures from the old attack, so it was exaggerated. undecided undecided

Your perception about the country is too corrupted, undecided undecided undecided
